happens to me a lot when i play gears of war or rainbow six vegas on multiplayer , but bioshock demo no .

ok GOW uses unreal engine 3 and bioshock is the same and r6v is the same too , it only happens with unreal engine 3 games , maybe its the engine issue? because it was on its early stages?

Maybe it is an engine thing.. because basically these are my games for the 360: GOW, Bioshock, Lego Star Wars, Perfect Dark Zero, and GH II. Of those, only the first two really "push" the 360 in terms of graphics and draw-in, so i guess that would make sense, but you'd figure maybe they'd get that engine down a little better before releasing like that. Of course, maybe its more of a DVD-Rom issue, where the data can't be loaded in fast enough or something.

I got an Elite about 2 or 3 months ago. It WORKS ok, but I'm starting to worry about its performance with loading up graphics. Recently after about 60 mins of playing GOW, a cinematic came up and the game started acting like one of its processors was ripped out. The frame rate took a major hit, almost to where stuff was jsut being discarded so the game could keep up. Also, I've noticed that it takes a few seconds for some high res graphics to come up, like draw-in issues. Honestly I'm not sure if they've gotten worse lately as opposed to when I first got the 360, but its not just with GOW. I experience the same stuff with Bioshock, where stuff takes a little while to draw in sometimes. Is my 360 starting a path down a slow death, or is this "common" with 360s and I shouldn't be too worried? I don't want my HAlo 3 experience to be diminished with the game constantly having to "catch up" with whats going on. Anyone else experience this? AsI said I haven't had my Elite for a long time.

Pray that our Xbox 360s don't melt with all the gameplay we'll be pushing through it.

I have to stop myself from beating my head into the wall after reading all this. Are people really getting THIS upset over a half a point? Are the sales of Bioshock going to be hit drastically because of this? Will the game win less Game of the Year awards because of this? Can't you all who liked the game just enjoy it, and those who hated it just not play it? BTW I still haven't played it yet because my rental place never seems to have it and I don't have enough of an opinion based on the demo to throw down $60 for it.

Whats with these games now coming on multiple discs? This reminds me of the old PS games that would span across like 3-5 discs. I hope this multi-disc thing does not become an ongoing trend..

Here's my current setup. I have an Xbox 360 Elite hooked up to a 36" Samsung HDTV, and a 10 year old analog stereo surround system with 140W. Surely you can all see the weak link in this trio. The problem is that I don't want to have to break the bank and go out and get a reciever and all the speakers and components and crap, and would rather just get a Home Theatre in a Box setup. Problem is that most of them don't feature HDMI or TosLink inputs. However I did find one that I Thought looked like a pretty sweet deal, the Samsung HT-X50. I can get it at Circuit City for $237 with free shipping. Does anyone else have any recommendations on a good but inexpensive system to buy so that I can finally enjoy my games and HD content in 5.1 channel as opposed to dumbing it down to Pro Logic like I am now? Thanks.
