Guys I want you to.....

Just imagine feeling the soft brush of the road and suddenly the massive force of a crash for gran turismo in your hands. Imagine the controller on the top right edge rumbling as you get clipped by a stray bullet in killzone 2. Imagine feeling the sensation of rolling in your hands when your rolling around in a circle in Little Big Planet. That to me, is what a next gen rumble should be. And apparently, this is what Immersions/Sony's 'touch sense' technology means for us gamers.

This means if you read the article, you can recreate the feedback of a real gunshot, imagine that. You can rumble each specific part of the controller indipendantly. Imagine that, that's not just any rumble, thats well.....touchsense. Revolutionary. Its the next-gen of rumble pretty much. I don't know about anyone else, but i'm pretty excited about this.

If its "Confirmed" then it's obviously not confirmed is it?

It is only official when Sony releases a press release.

doolies

oh yerr this is all 'rumour'. But the PSM france has stated it, theyve officially given the technology to developers. The only thing left to do is officially and publicly announce it to well, the public. And that will be done at TGS 2007.

Speaking to an insider, Pro-G has learned that Sony is now supporting rumble for its Sixaxis controller as revealed in the latest System Development Kit (SDK) sent to developers on Thursday.

While the news of rumble support isn't necessarily Earth shattering - Sony and Immersion both kissed, made up, and partnered earlier this year after all - it's the timing in which this news broke that has us excited.

With this year's Toyko Game Show starting imminently, and with developers being handed the tools to implement rumble a mere week before the show kicks off, the unveiling of a redesigned Sixaxis controller seems likely. If anything, this at least confirms that rumble will in fact be featured in future PS3 titles.

-------------

Okay so well, 'Touch Sense' for the new controller has been pretty much confirmed. In 1UP's podcast the guy states he got information from an insider that this new controller will be announced for the PS3. Here are some other links detailing this new mini-revolutionary technology called touch sense:

http://www.maxconsole.net/?mode=news&newsid=18450

http://www.engadget.com/2007/07/03/new-details-surface-on-sonys-rumbling-sixaxis/

-------------

So basically what this new 'touch sense' technology means for gamers is:

"The vibrations will not emanate solely any more from the handles of the pad (as on Dualshock) but will be perceptible in various places of the lever. It as should be specified as they will be more powerful, more intense and over short periods if the programmers wish it. Thus, the developers will be able to create a multitude of still new effects. If Sony chooses this technology, it will thus not act of a simple return of the vibrations, but well of a very new technology

- This technology will be able to reproduce the fast jolt and forces caused by a shot,

- Immersion promises that one will be able to feel the asperities of the road in the plays of race (like Dirt), but also small shocks related on the shiftings of speed and even to accelerations or decelerations"

With three days until TGS, we can only wait and see.

So what are your thoughts?

Warhawk 1st Review- 9.6/10

Graphics 9.7 Audio 9.3 Gameplay 9.5 Replayability 9.7 TOTAL9.6

Note: The warhawk review was made by a sony centered website, and thus may be a little biased. Otherwise those are the first official reviews of the games. Anyway the more viewed reviews by such websites as IGN and Gamespot will most likely come when they recieve the final builds of the games. So what you guys think?

IGN Writes: "Holy crap. You're going to buy Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. You might have passed up Metal Gear Solid on the PlayStation, poo-poo'd Metal Gear Solid 2's wonky storyline and cringed at eating serpents in Metal Gear Solid 3, but you're going to buy Metal Gear Solid 4.

This game looks amazing.

Early this morning at Konami's Metal Gear 20th anniversary party, Hideo Kojima gave the world its first look at MGS4 gameplay, and the world is still stunned..."

Wow....this has literally blown me away. I saw the screenshot that came out a while ago and went yuck. But, as i found out later, was because it was in pre-pre alpha stages. BUT OMGGGGGGGG this INGAME trailer is better than the NOTINGAME CG trailer from 2006 E3 (or was it 2005?) This game looks better than Halo 3, Gears of War, Resistance put together multiplied by three. Just goes to show if you spend a bit of time actually trying to go through the hardwork of figuring out the mamoth complexities of the cell you can end up doing great work. Only thing is it takes a while. But WOW and it isn't even in near final form. Another 9 months or so to go for development. Imagine how much better it will look *drools*. I wasn't before so confident, thought it was a just a load of hype, but now...im convinced of the ps3's horse power.
