@thegoodhustler: What's a console pea sentry? Someone who is defensive about a console but has nothing to defend them with other than peas...

I am a bit disappointed that Majora's Mask didn't make the list. It was such an amazing game for the 3DS!

I agree - GTAV PC was a release, not a reissue. But the whole category is a little ill-defined. Is it any platform release that has a later release date than other platforms, or is it remastered games that have been updated?

@creepywelps: Indeed. Although, even though I am a PC Gamer and build them and tinker with them, two friends of mine have drifted away from PCs because they do require a little more knowhow (esp. when upgrading them). Drivers or hardware conflicts can also damped experiences without knowing how to fix them (esp. online gameplay, where issues with port-forwarding or firewalls can easily get in the way). So I think there are more negatives, but maybe they are not as apparent to the rather geeky bunch on that GameSpot couch. I still love PCs more than any console, maybe because of all the tinkering and reading up on new hardware, etc. - the object is as much part of my passion as the games on it.

This report card was a bit of a disappointment - it mostly got stuck at discussing PC-Gaming in general. There was a lack of discussion of games that were great and made for PC (e.g. Witcher 3, FallOut 4, etc.). If it is more of a hardware discussion, then discuss what has happened in PC-Gaming: increase in games that were ported for the PC and buggy there, the beginnings of 4K gaming becoming feasible, or even GoG launching its Galaxy platform (shaking up the Steam monopoly at least a little bit).

It felt a little unbalanced compared to the other report cards that stayed away from 'Whats Better' type discussions. Here it seemed to dominate.

This game really lets the player transition from a vault-dweller to a wasteland-dweller. And I think game-worlds where the player already feels at home, feels like he has an interest in continuity and shelter, are also game-world where base-building really works.

Fallout 4's relationship to building and crafting almost seems like the inverse of MineCraft - rather than building in an empty world to make it our own, I began building Sanctuary because I already felt like my character was living in the world and needed a place to stay.

I do really wonder whether 'far, far bigger' refers to game experience, size of the world, or the development effort. There were definitely times when the Witcher 3's world hit the my personal limits of adding more to the experience - my second play through, only focusing on the main story and key side-quests, made me realise how much of the world you never set foot in unless you so chase notice-boards and POIs.

Very excited about Cyberpunk 2077 though - and whatever way it is bigger than W3, it will probably be in a good way.

Rather than this being a video justifying the review, I think it seems to try and connect the Lobby comments (which were mediocre and mostly mixed, with few outright excited or positive things said about the game) and the review. After listening to Danny, Josh and Ty on the Lobby, I did not expect this high a review and I knew that none of them wrote it before even checking.

Maybe this video should be watch after seeing the "Is Assassin's Creed Syndicate Better Than Unity? - The Lobby" video. And it seems like they at least talk about how different people like different aspects in games, taking some time to somehow consolidate two very different takes (The Lobby and the review).
