@gamersmom1995: That does sound like you're getting a ground loop buzz. You said you've already tried a ferrite core cable, but have you tried plugging it into an extension cable or a surge protector. I have found that can sometimes get rid of strange ground loop noise.
During some summer days I have to leave the side of a couple of the rigs I run and put blowers and extra fans in, because their cases are fairly small. The whole airflow argument really makes a small amount of difference, as open air cases and test benches are used in overclocking competitions, instead of the gaming cases.
You do however want to keep the side on, to keep foreign materials that could damage your components out. That includes small children, dust, insects, the wife who complains you spend way to much time playing Battlefield...
So if your machine is getting too hot with the side on, you should really think about investing in a either, a bigger case, or more cooling solutions for the case you already have.
One of my favourite MMO's is Star Trek Online, I started playing that when it went F2P and I've been really impressed with the amount of content they have put into that game after it's fairly terrible launch.
Welcome to Gamespot @puntherline.
If you're after a freeroam racing game, try giving Burnout Paradise a go. It's a few years old, but it's super fun and if you pick up the The Ultimate Box version, you get to play with motorbikes as well as cars.
@spectrum_07: You are very much welcome :) I'm sure some of the many Minecraft players on here might be able to give you some tips on how to get that working a bit better.
@PredatorRules: You also have to take into account that they are capturing the game with FRAPS, which like any capturing software can cause a massive hit to the framerate. (In the video description it also says that they get a solid 30fps on medium - medium high settings without FRAPS in Spanish).
@s_h_a_d_o: Yeah it was back on XP when I last did it.
