I'm with you, I still play NBA Hangtime from time to time. To me, the NBA Jam style of gameplay can never get old. I think the reason it scored so low here was that it didn't really do much with the NBA Jam formula, but it's still better than the Jam series in my opinion. The ability to lean and fade makes jumpers alot more fun. Oh, and the Halftime Rap. :)

[QUOTE="colecoavenger"]This being a retro gaming forum, I figured a lot of us probably take a measure of pride in our collections. So, what do you own? This is my list. colecoavenger

Wow, you and I have almost identical systems. The only differences are that I have a Coleco Telstar Colortron, Microvision, 5200, and the three current gen systems. I dont have the GB Pocket or Micro though. It's cool that our collections are so alike though.

How many games do your own for your systems?

Too many to count.

It's never a bad thing to have too many games to count... never. I cant wait until I reach the 1000 mark... almost there :)

Anyone who doesn't say Virtual Boy didn't have a Virtual Boy...

Man... I rememeber forcing myself to play that after I got it for Christmas so my parents wouldn't think they wasted their money.

Fredrick2003x

Actually, I'm thinking that most people who say Virtual Boy haven't even played the damn thing, given how unpopular it was and still is. Yes, it's probably the worst of all Nintendo platforms from the Famicom/NES onward, no debating that. Very limited game library (partially due to very short support), not really portable (more like a tabletop console that could run on batteries), and the only colors were red and black (though a full-color display in 1995 would have made the price rather astronomical). However, I get the general notion that a lot of complaints about it just happen to be FUD blown out of proportion and largely uncorrected by those with actual experience, particularly the headache issues. (Did you ever get a headache using the thing?)NamelessPlayer

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Neither I nor my brother have ever gotten a headache from playing it. The only people I know who have ever had issues playing it are people with extremely strong eyeglass prescriptions, like my dad and my friend. But I think it's an awesome little system, it's totally worth the $70 or so to get and and play some of the awesome games it has, especially Galactic Pinball, Wario Land, and Mario Tennis. It's a shame that most people just go by what they hear rather than give the system a chance themselves...

That's awesome, I've only ever played one at a friends house. I would love to own one myself. Mind if I ask how much you picked yours up for?

sony > microsoftx_Martyr_x

Great. That sure helps answer his question.

Just be aware of which controller you are getting, the "Duke" or the later version, most people don't like the Duke because of their ridiculous size, although I kindof prefer them because I have big hands, so..
