I don't want to give the impression I'm a Nintendo hater, or out to get Nintendo either. It's part of my job description at RE and elsewhere to remain impartial. I can't say I'm very fond of the platform, the company or their games however.

This game is definitely not going to be as good as you were lead to believe. It's no FF6.

The data I receive at my job only covers digital games in China and Southeast Asia and is not overly relevant to the console market, so to speak. It's also data I'm not willing or able to discuss here. however.

Truthfully, I can't even go into detail from sources on RE, unless given the okay in advance, but I can help give a clearer picture of the industry.

Sony have not become the "bad guy" of anything. This issue of crossplay has certainly been sensationalized by the media.

It's not surprising at all considering Nintendo were basically responsible for this port coming to platform in the first place and were in charge of marketing and distribution.

Bethesda literally didn't put up anything for this port so I doubt they would be interested in further supporting it. Especially with Nintendo's backwards policies.

Sorry to say, but the Japanese market only represents a mere fraction of the worldwide gaming buying market at this point.

You would be shocked at how many annoying Nintendo fanboys are running around resetera portbegging for games that they are never going to play. Makes my life very difficult.

It sold okayish. Certainly not enough to excite third parties.
