i'm really sorry i keep doing this, but i'm delaying my GOTY awards, again. This is because i remembered that this weekend, my ENTIRE family (including cousins and others like that) are getting together. So i will be getting some new games. So my award shows will now be either January 8, January 9, or January 10.
___
NFC:
1. Falcons (13-3)
2. Bears (11-5)
3. Eagles (10-6)
4. Seahawks (7-9)
5. Saints (11-5)
6. Packers (10-6)
3. Eagles vs. 6. Packers: If the Packers were completely healthy, they would be my easy Super Bowl favorite. But without Finley and Grant, things are going to be tough. I think that the Packers will be able to shut down Vick's running game and deep passes to Jackson because of their top-notch defense. Rodgers will prevail though, as the PACKERS WIN. But whichever team wins can go very, very far in the playoffs.
4. Seahawks vs. 5. Saints: This will be an absolute blowout. The defending champion Saints vs. the ONLY ever team to make the playoffs with a losing record. So the SAINTS WIN
1. Falcons vs. 6. Packers: I think these are the two of the best teams in the NFL so this will be a very good game. The Falcons right now are in my opinion unstoppable with the way that Ryan and White keep hooking up time after time. So the FALCONS WIN in a nice close game.
2. Bears vs. 5. Saints: The Bears were a surprise team in a good wat this year. Cutler finally figured things out and Hester is still unstoppable. But again, the defending champions will just be too much. So the SAINTS WIN.
1. Falcons vs. 5. Saints: NFC South division rivalry that is huge. The two teams split the 2 regular season matches, with each game being a 3 point difference. But even though the Saints won their most recent matchup, I still think the Falcons have the most momentum. The FALCONS WIN.
AFC:
1. Patriots (14-2)
2. Steelers (12-4)
3. Colts (10-6)
4. Chiefs (10-6)
5. Ravens (12-4)
6. Jets (11-5)
3. Colts vs. 6. Jets: 2 very evenly matched teams with losses of Clark and Collie for the Colts, but Manning is just so unstoppable that the COLTS WIN in a very very close game.
4. Chiefs vs. 5. Ravens: I think that the Raiders and Chargers are truly the two best teams in the AFC West. And if Reed is healthy for the Ravens the Chiefs will not be able to score much, and even without him, they still will not be able to score much. The RAVENS
WIN.
1. Patriots vs. 5. Ravens: The Patriots are 14-2, for what I think the main reason is the emergence of their two rookie TEs, Hernandez and Gronkowski. Oh, and Tom Brady is just Tom Brady. There is no stopping him, even with a defense like the Ravens. So the PATRIOTS WIN.
2. Steelers vs. 3. Colts: Do I have to repeat myself? PEYTON MANNING. Just two words. He can do it with anyone who can run and catch, and he still has Wayne. But the Steelers have been a very surprising team for me, especially with them going 3-1 without Big Ben. So this will but an extremely close game but the STEELERS WIN, just because the Steelers's four losses were all pretty close games to four different playoff teams. But if the Colts were healthy, they would win.
1. Patriots vs. 2. Steelers: Week 10, Patriots at Steelers. Patriots 39, Steelers 26. I think this is the turning point for me. If the Patriots can beat the Steelers by just about 2 touchdowns AT the Steelers, imagine, just imagine, what the Patriots can do AT HOME, on a 8 game winning streak. So the PATRIOTS WIN again, sweeping the Steelers this year.
1. Patriots vs. 1. Falcons: The teams with the two best records. I will point out some notable games for both teams. Patriots: loss to Jets, win over Ravens in OT, win over Chargers the next week, a BAD loss to the BROWNS, winning the next 8 games in a row to end the regular season, some of these games included the Steelers and Colts in back to back weeks, a BEATDOWN of the Jets and Bears in back to back weeks, and then a win over the Packers in the next week. Falcons: a loss to the Steelers without Big Big (week 1), win over the Saints in OT, loss to the Eagles, wins over the Buccaneers and Ravens in back to back weeks, win ove the Packers and Buccaneers in back to back weeks, win over the Seahawks, and a loss to the Saints. Patriots vs. playoff teams: 6-1. Falcons vs. playoff teams: 4-3. Patriots ending streak: W8 (but 9-1 in last 10 games). Falcons ending streak: W1 (but 9-1 in last 10 games).
So based on all the information I have just written, plus more information, and how I know both teams' players have been playing, in a slugfest... *DRUM ROLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL* THE PATRIOTS WIN!!!!!!!!!
This isn't the first time Tom's ever done it. In fact, this would be his fourth Super Bowl victory.
