Is it only in that game or does it happen in other games too? That problem usually occurs when your GPU is running too hot and it "resets" itself. Could be also that you don't have sufficient power supply 500W-600W should be enough. And also, doesn't Nvidia have some kind of a automatic overclocking program on its driver package, better check that out too if it works correctly.

I still use M-Audio Delta 44 PCI for gaming and recordings, and to my ear, everything sounds clear (At least when compared to integrated sound card) I really don't have any experience on gaming sound cards, but this has worked for me. Price range for M-Audio is somewhat the same as those mentioned above.

I'd spent a bit more to get Radeon HD 6870, but if you want to choose one of those go for 6770, many of the reviews I've seen that card is better in overall.

Well not only the PSU and the case fan is your problem, but for a gaming PC, you have to buy yourself powerful and silent CPU and GPU coolers too. CPU and GPU coolers are tend to make most of the noise while gaming, but for and idle and basic desktop use you need a good silent PSU and case fans.

Does the drive open when you press the button? Or is it just that it wont read any discs? If you got the time and tools, go ahead and open the backside of the laptop and check if the cables are connected properly to the drive. If it's connected properly and you got warranty left send it back to get it fixed. If warranty has expired, you would want to buy yourself external USB DVD -drive (~around 50$)

ATI has included a user-friendly way to uninstall your drivers from the control panel (presuming you're using Windows OS), where you uninstall all your other programs too. Worked in Vista and 7. Haven't got the oppoturnity to test out it in WXP. No other thing needed for the process.

[QUOTE="zxl"]Do not use any plastic unless it's anti-static! Cardboard box can hold static charge too, but you should be fine with cardboard, just do not rub the box into anything when carrying. You should put the hardware the way that those pins doesn't contact with the cardboard along the way. And remember to ground yourself when you're about to touch the hardware, best way to do this is to simply touch your kitchen/wc tap.JimmyJumpy

You're probably the first guy I encounter who sometimes repairs his computer while sitting on the toilet...

YES! I just meant you should ground yourself and let the static charge go away from you by doing what mentioned above, but if you got the change, wire yourself to a tap for the whole installation process ;)
