Reviews are subjective. Duh.
I love open world games, beautiful scenery, and captivating story. This game has these things cranked to 11. If you like these things too, I highly, highly, recommend.
If you are a sandbox open world purest, this game will frustrate you (and will def not be a 10 in your mind). Completing missions in the most creative way possible will leave you disappointed. Simple as that. But in my opinion, many of the missions are already pretty fun completed as intended by the developers. And my belief is that they weren't focused on you trying each mission 12 different ways, but to go grab your rifle and revolver and head into and explore the most vibrant and interesting landscape I have seen to date.
Gunslingin' and adventurin' has never felt so good than in RDR2. The story is deep (and dark) and there are a few mechanics to get a handle on, but I promise you this game will stick with you if your genre aligns with what I described at the beginning.
I plan to play again and update this review as I did a very thorough playthrough right when it came out. And yet, every time I talk to someone else who has played this game they tell me about crazy things they witnessed that I missed. Check it out if open world and stories are yah thing.
