I agree that battles are kinda exaggerated when the situation is Spartan VS. 250 Barbarian or Roman Soldier.
I really liked the battle scenes against the barbarian tribes of Beowulf. When they are trying to conquer the village with artillery and Giants. However, game has some negative points that I hate the most in gaming world, TO FIGHT AGAINST YOURSELF!!, in Achilleus' Tomb, you fight yourself or "Your Nemesis" with the Roman Commander's Words...
When you fight and kill your enemies, Ares starts to speak to you and says things like "Send their souls to me" or "I want More!!"
Every Weapon and Fighting Skill Has It's Own Special Attack. For Example When You Fight With a Shield and Sword, Your Special Attack Is a Rain Of Sunlight which turns enemies into stone for a while(Medusa Power), When using the Warhammer of Beowulf(Death Biter), the special attack is smashing the ground with the hammer and killing everyone in a circle of 10feet radius around you instantly.However, you can't defend yourself with that hammer as you do with shield. If You are using the dual blades, your special attack is spreading lightning bolts which kills everyone in a circle of 15-20feet radius around you instantly. However your defensive stance is not effective as the one with your shield.
The game is completely marvellous except that "fighting against yourself" thing...It's the best action game ever made in this year.
