Overall, Star Ocean is a great, solid, classic RPG. I have to say that I was surprised by the voice acting and cut scenes. I remember playing the original and going through the game struggling to read what was going on, not anymore.

The voice acting is a little under par, but there are some characters that are done very well. The cut scenes were a very nice touch to the game, and I STILL love the combat system.

While the AI seems to lack in some fights, it excels in others. The other thing that is really nice is the ability to distribute your skill points in so many unique ways.

The story moves a little slowly, and doesn't have enough twists and turns, but the like able characters and brilliant combat system make you want to keep playing for hours. It's a great game for RPG fans, not to be missed.
