First of all, they should only have you hunting animals that are like sick or something, like a purpose for killing them. Also, those diving barrels shouldn't just have one use, that's pretty stupid. Those among other things are areas that need improvement in AC, even though the series has come a long way.

So the historical tourism part is basically dead now but having checked out the game at eurogamer I've got to say the pirate simulator stuff is actually great fun and lets face it how many really good games about pirates have we got these days. I'mgoing to ignore the story and the ACIV stamp on the box and play this as a pirate simulator that way I can enjoy it.

well to be honest I was in two minds whether to get this or not as I thought it would be all samey samey but now after seeing the shark hunting and the diving it has swayed me more towards buying it. the idea of looting sunken ships is very appealing as I don't recall any game allowing you to do this before (underwater I mean)

i liked 1st and the 2nd games. because they were based on exploring history not hunting sharks and crabs.they have changed the game in a pathetic pirating simulator

Oh yay - so what we have is yet another installment of Assassin's Creed: Big Game Hunter. Fan-freaking-tastic.

Because never mind exploring exotic locations, or learning about the history of the region you are in (ala-AC1), or actually doing some meaningful work towards your end-goal........no. What I *really* want to do is spend hours of my life maiming small, innocent animals.

This is what happens when games come out on current and next gen at the start of the next gens life, yes the graphics are improved but they don't truly make it next gen. The animation and everything else in the game is exactly the same, they haven't added anything to make it feel like the next evolution in gaming, they've just upped the graphical fidelity. Nothing wrong with that early on in a new consoles cycle because games need to also run on current gen but I am looking forward to eventually seeing what the new consoles can really do when developers move on from the "it's got to run on PS3 and 360" restrictions. And I expect it to be someone like Naughty Dog, Rockstar or Bethesda, or maybe a game like The Witcher 2 that will start that trend.

On another note I like that they've incorporated the Far Cry 3 structure because that was one of the things that made that game world a joy to be in.

I lost the interest in AC games after the second one, but this looks good....and it's 1080p60 :o

I may be nitpicking a bit, but judging be the size of that shark's head in the link pic, it seems that the sharks in their world may be quite a bit longer and larger than the 20-25 footers we have. Could you imagine if we had the 50 footers they had going waaaaayyyyy back? Or the 80 foot crocs?

Garbage.. just garbage! Can't believe this Shi* is next Gen...

I read in a game magazine that certain things were left out of AC3 so that they could be put in AC4. If you ask me, what's the point of doing that when you could just simply put those things in the current game, witch would add more to the game and make it richer. Overall if you ask me it kind of seems like a cop out, maybe I'm wrong or being harsh, but that's how I feel (I am fully aware that developers have to make their new titles interesting in order to get gamers to want their product, so that they can make money).

this game is extremely disappointing when compared to its predecessors - imagine assassin 1 and 2 and then this....very sad

You can make a great movie in 9 month. But not a game. It'll be just right then.

Main reason I fell in love with AC series was the whole recreating the Cities and Buildings and being able to explore them not Pirate simulation :<

AC is full of nothing. The fighting is the best thing in this game, but not after ACB. The controlling went bad after that. In AC3 you don't have to push several buttons to play, Just one button will do everything. Just sit like a cow and try to convince your mind that you are really doing this. Sometime I lose conor in the crowds. Where is he?

They really have to rebuild the controlling from point 0. Or just make like God of War. (Combos and the whole stuff, I love it that way).

I must be very tired because I totally just realized that there was nothing wrong with that whole "but" part in my post that I wrote two story's down. does that make sense?

I'm aware that my last post (witch to be honest I'm really not into posting or writing forums or any of that sort of thing, I'm just doing it because I'm really bored right now), has an issue at the end there, the but in "but this one seems like it will be promising" part. You know what I mean. Also if anyone can tell me if any of the AC games are worth playing (if only even for a first time play through), that would be very nice. Thank you.

To be honest I have never played through any of the assassins Creed games (although I did play a little bit of the first one and thought that it seemed very slow and rather boring). But this one seems like it will be promising, I hope.

I loved AC2 but AC3's hunting was shit, so was the gameplay, I hope ACIV won't be the same!

There is nothing in this game, from what I can see, that couldn't have been done on the PS3 or the 360.

I'm looking forward to playing this game, I just hope that it is more playable than it is cinematic, if you know what I mean.

Honestly, the change in scenery, farcry features, and the whole idea of this game makes me more excited than I was for 3. I loved 1 and 2 but 3 seemed pretty soulless although fun, I lost interest kinda quickly. It was mainly because I hated the protagonist and how you had to travel immensely to do simple small tasks. Obviously many people are going to be upset with change but if it looks good who cares.
