@JangoF-76 I agree that they obviously have not played the game at the time of this vid. Which makes thier opinion completely irrelevant and have taken thier stand to follow suit with the status quo. I wonder how many reviewers played the game to the end before they wrote thier reviews??

Forget about good journalism for a minute. It's obvious that these two have not invested 90+hours in the Mass Effect series. If they had, they wouldn't be so blithe about this issue.

"16 different endings" "a little bit for everyone" WOW you freaking serious? There's only 3 and they are 95% almost same, based on that they could've made 100 more of these ending like is Anderson wearing hat or not or TIM wearing high heel shoes(something for ppl who like high heel shoes right?) or that VI kid is colored yellow (also something for ppl who like yellow color).

@weaponslayer7 do you know what's the worst part of this whole mess..that ppl like this Laura lass here, DARE to go and say:BioWare should just DISREGARD (or IGNORE if you like it better) all those ppl that ask for some closure with a different ending with the excuse that Games are ART and they shouldn't be changed!!! You haven't done your homework well Laura cause you know something:Even if we accept that Games are SOLELY art and nothing else and companies being the artists...Then again we were deceived or cheated better.DaVinci made Mona Lisa (I am bringin this up cause YOU mentioned it in that...god make it....article of yours) according to the demands of the wealthy merchant Francesco del Giocondo. He respected his desires while making this..He didn't deceive him...Tell me...Did BioWare respected our desires?....See no matter if you accept it as ART or NOT you still fail hard with your spineless and lacking opinion.I swear to god i hate name-calling but you Laura drive me to my limits....

The only thing i will say is take another look at the Witcher part and the indie part of your vid and you see the gamer approved approach to game development. And then look at your Mass Effect part and tell me you dont see a difference??? And you think gamer entitlement is the problem? Not even! Gamers are now too experienced to be shortchanged in the devlopment of a series that they are invested in, and thats why there is an uproar. As game journalists you should be explaining this to us, not someone like me doing your job for you........or are you just doing the job your told to do instead of what is in your JD? Heres an example of a journalist doing thier job correctly. << LINK REMOVED >> After reading it ask yourself a simple question "Would i get fired if i wrote an article like this?" If your answer is yes, than you tell me whether you have sold out or not.

Laura GO CHECK YOUR STUPID article for christ's SAKE!37k?It 52k for your information!and to that-red shirt-beard guy NO it's not a good 10% mate...IT"S the MAJORITY of ME fanbase that um excuse me "didn't like?" Laura after all the comments on your article you realized we simply "didn't like" the ending? No lass it's not about LIKE and DISLIKE! it's about being promised something by a Company that has always listened closely to it's fanbase and being given something TOTALLY different that Breaks the concept of the game that's about "CHOICE" If they had warned us from the beginning that they would "do what they like" with the ending and that our choices may not matter at all..then nobody would have complained! We would simply AVOID buying the game or wait for a sale on it!But we were deceived and THAT"S what we didn't like! Not the ending it self but the lies that BioWare fed us with. Have you even Played the game Laura?Have you played any ME?or you just youtubed all the endings and made an article about ART and GAMES??? Plz you are not a journalist you are just a lass with a pen and a keyboard! And the fact that you think "WE SIMPLY DIDN"T LIKE" the ending shows how much attention you have given to your OWN article..i bet you haven't read a single comment ...Just the latest ones.

I think most people felt cheated because the ending had a lot of plotholes, which wasn't consistent with the rest of the game. It also set it up for more post-game DLC, and although I didn't hate it nearly as much as Final Fantasy XIII-2, I still thought it was terrible.

How about BioWare's promise that your decisions would make a difference in the ending? That is a lie. I would never have played the game if they told the truth from the beginning.

16 endings my lower back. they want to sell a DLC ending! If you went to see The return of the King in a theater and the movie endend with frodo dragged away by the Spider and endend like that, and you were asked for more money to see the last 15 minutes of the movie, wouldnt you feel entitled to the whole package instead of the maimed one? Either we are talking to a product customer paid for in its entirety, or a "work of art", a text with a beginning, a central part AND AN ENDING. We are not talking about the colour of femshep, who really cared about that! We are talking about a customer relationship management failure, the blatant attempt to milk devoted players of their money, the utter destruction of the relationship between a esteemed game company and its customers due to marketing malpractice and probably the exploitation of Bioware's reputation from EA . My consolation is that it wont last long.

Uh, you do realise the whole point of the outrage is that there are NOT 16 different endings. There are three endings which are almost identical (palette swaps) and a few very very slight variations of those three endings.

Before games are developed there is market research to find out if we will like it, so what's wrong with saying we want it changed after?

About the 'it's a completed piece of art' nonsense: They're charging us for Day1 STORY DLC, doesn't sound very 'complete' to me, I say, they finish it. It'd be fine to have those giant plot holes if they had another game to explain them, or if they added something to the ending (probably would be more payed dlc... even more story critical than previous dlc's{like LotSB}) That stupid kid in the beginning and the red pill(same), blue pill(same), and banana(same) endings are oddly poorly executed. The whole kid thing doesn't even make sense in the story. Billions dying, first degree murder committed in previous games(potentially), and we are expected to care about some kid? Should have just killed a likable story character... woulda actually worked as intended.

"16 different endings" "a little bit for everyone" How clever you are to completely misrepresent the argument to try and sway public opinion to your side. To make it sound like those endings are varied and different is an embarassment on your part and everyone who has played the game knows better.

A game as great as Mass Effect 3 truly does not deserve an ending with so many glaring plot holes and absolutely no closure for every significant decision we made in the past 2 games... simple as that

Gamers are consumers like anyone else. As consumers we have certain rights. The ones who are behind the petition are actually the moderate loyal fans who want to stick with Bioware despite feeling cheated. They have every right to ask for a refund, resell the game or simply burn it in anger because the ending of the final product was not what Bioware promised it to be (taking your choices fully into account: which they advertised explicitly). Instead, they are donating to charity, being (mostly) civil and holding on in good faith that Bioware will listen to them because Bioware has done so in the past (you guys mentioned precedent). Whether Bioware does listen is their choice. They will either do what's in the best interest of their reputation or be stubborn and say it's their piece of unalterable art.

The press is only focusing on the petition, and making loyal BW fans look greedy and elitist. This is NOT the petition of 95% of the community, research yo!

Hey everyone, we misquoted a number in the video. Just to clarify: at the time we recorded, the BioWare petition to change the ending of Mass Effect 3 had 37,000 votes NOT 370,000 votes. Apologies.

Laura: ...about video games... Me: You don't say? xD This is a good show nonetheless. S/S + Crosshair = Good gaming news! I want an explanation on the ending and seeing results of your decisions. Not changing the ending. It will not be an ending anymore. It will be a fake ending.

There aren't 16 different endings! There is one, and then there are 3 different colours to choose from! It's all 95% the same ending no matter what you do! Get your facts straight or you are just making fools out of yourselves.

They will just release a dlc to expand on the ending, IMO its an easy way for them to rake in another couple million in sales.
