What can I say, it looks promising! I do wish the combat was focused more on facing 2-3 enemies each with their own quirks(elemental weaknesses, status moves, etc), instead of horde battles. But at the very least SE looks to be trying to make an entry with new gameplay than rehash the past(or rehash whatever 13 was)

This is a first for me, I've never been so turned off by a FF title before. I want to be wrong, but I guess I'll have to wait and see. I'm looking more forward to KH3 at this point.

Why does the protagonist looks like Sasgay?

That screen grab kinda looks like Cloud's kid brother.

Am I the only one that doesnt get why there is a grappling hook, and why the characters are changing weapons that magically disappear. I love FF games....just doesnt look/seem like one to me...

i'm very eager to see what the rpg mechanics will be like, how we will equip magic, whether there will be summons, etc. it's pretty rad that the main character can materialize whatever weapon (giant sword, spears, katanas?) at will in the middle of attacks...and he can teleport? god and the graphics are simply breath taking, i thought destiny looked good but dayum

This gameplay video makes it look like the game isn't that close to being finished tbh, because I feel like it showed next to nothing. Wish game felt like it was more along since Nomura left the project and would have been more under his vision then.

Wish they would return to the older games for council... they were all so unique mostly with interesting high fantasy setting and design... so what is this J-pop bullsh*t?? to have good graphics is nice, but i really hope ff13 taught you better... because so far, I guess not:P

But i will hold off my judgement till the game is finished...

it would be cool to see how much their pushing the hardware, the backgrounds still look a little flat. but the game has potential.

Teen angst squad go! Seriously. The cast isnt very diverse. Also this trailer shows the devs are pretty dam full of it.

They didnt feel like showing any gameplay til quite a ways in, just showing off graphics.Sure, pretty looking game, but that isn't what is important and it seems to be all they are obsessed with.

This game looks great, I'll be keeping an eye on it. I do hope that this one does NOT follow the trend of high graphic quality and lackluster gameplay or story like some recent SQEEN titles have been.

It's on my radar and either way I'll end up owning it and playing it. The real question is is it going to have a replay value or will i have to FORCE myself to finish it.

Whats wrong with the looks? Sure its over the top "Im so hot" type like in all japan games, but its better than just usual big muscular guy with shaved head. And some of those hairstyles is really cool. They always overdo with the looks, but it looks cool atleast.

gameplay starts at...right around 5:00. the early part of the vid is just them rotating the camera and marveling at the characters and setting, and frog.

This game will surely sell on it's graphics, like the original XIII did. SE just loves betting on those pretty graphics. This game just oozes "lackluster" from every pore. It will likely go on the mimic XIII with mediocre reviews, and bubble burst sales.

This was a nice tech demo, but I really hope that showcase of gameplay was mistakenly used. That looks boring and lifeless. Maybe SE should hand FF over to Crystal Dynamics, and SE could internally go develop flavour of the month hits on mobile.
