Killzone 2 Postmortem

they should have keeped some of the guns from killzone 1

the controls aren't bad. And KZ2 feels way more realistic than other FPSs. I mean, in most of the first person games you look at the ground and start spinning the camera. It feels like you're controlling a ghost or something lol . I'm glad that doesn't happen in KZ2.

I was dying to buy PS3 for MGS4 & Little Big Planet & now Kill Zone 2 is in the list too :)

the gameplay is diferent, is very good and looks real... I have an xbox360 and now I´ll buy one ps3 too ...

ugh....no it was to make it real so that u felt a sort of heaviness...seriously...if u guys dont like it change the intensity...if you dont like the controls...change the controls...stop complaining about something so easy to fix yourself...its there to be tampered with...if you need directions here they are...press start button, go to options press "x" go to controls press "x" and there you go...problem solved...i had to do it in COD i change the intensity all the time...i dont go and complain to everyone

I really want to buy this game.......but I just don't have the time to play it!!!!

at first the controls were difficult. but when i go back to cod it feels like kz2 had a better control system. thumbs up or down thats just what i prefer.

I love this game, and since its one of the few games that work on my dial-up speed internet I love it. Although am I the only one who niticed that any character you control is shorter than everyone else?

@ sykodorito I have Resistance 2, and I liked its campaign a lot more than I liked KZ2. It's controls were actually solid too. I'll be honest, having so many people online in just one game is just not as fun or tactical. When there are 30-60 people on one map, you just end up with a bunch of campers and snipers. The weapon variety on KZ2 is really lacking too.

grilled charlie get resistance 2. graphics are close. multiplayer options ad frame rate are much better even online. its 60 player comp. 8 player coop. i have both . play reistance!

@ Blaze_Hrimfaxi KZ2 is hardly a reason to shell out $400 for a PS3. I should know, I did exactly that. I completely regret it too. At least I have a bluray player in my room.

It aint coming to 360 or PC. Get over it and buy a PS3 already.

The reason why no one liked the controls is because people weren't used to playing with them. That is why you play the game people! You play it and get used to the controls, like any other game. People these days...

y r u guys complaining...u can just change controls urselves in options if u so like....the only thing i ever found wrong wit kz2 is it felt sort of "stiff"(i dunno how to put it) while running around....and the aiming and accuracy is kinda off.....one spawn area is kinda wack as well ....ii think it would b much better offf just spawning near ur alive members(like COD sorry)...it would need less use of tacticians...but i like all the other classes

ok this game is really amazing but if only the SONY make games with this ''amazing'' gameplay, will be released only 1 or 2 good games for year to ps3 and I will stay with my xbox 360 !!!!! that´s my thought

Melee, bullets, grenade's. What ever does the job. But I must say, there is nothing as good as a nice melee. lol

I just wish that I could play the campaign with the "fixed" controls. Why did the firmware update only fix the online controls?

Watch the video and wait till they show the 2nd video of gameplay where the character is sprinting and comes up on a Hig. He wastes like half a clip onl the wall . . . . . I just found that amusing.

@ahpuck ...ya your games page is full of only (yes ONLY) 360 a origanal xbox games. as for "far superior" I dont think Killzone 2 is far superior to anything out there. I just think it seemed decent (seemed because I only played the demo) however, control wise, people bashing it because of realism just isnt fair. also, before you say I claimed otherwise, I own a PS3, and PS2 only.

i have to say untill yesterday i was a hardcore xbox gamer, i just bought a ps3, and traded in my 360, and i have to say, killzone 2 is amazing, in fact all of the first party titles are, much better than the mediocre crap microsoft dishes out, overhypes, and misleads people in to buying bad games. halo wars was awful. im so glad i made the switch!

i think s this game is cool and really one of the best FPS shooter.. ever... period and PS3 rocks... for those boxers, you can tell them to throw their box away and buy a ps3. anyone who gives me a thumb down is a boxer, stay away form this site..!

Takes a bit to get used to, especially if you played a lot of COD 4. But once you get the hang of it, man this is a sweet game!

Wow, the graphics and the fluidity of the animations & other things just totally destroys everything else on both consoles. Wow, lol. ... For a game that's cost reportedly about 60 million sweet bucks to make!!!

narutofan- you're wrong. The fact that I can snipe someone with a mp40 in COD5 shows its not tactical. In Killzone 2 the tactics lie in the class system and how you mix and create your own personal classes. There are games in KZ2 where my team will be getting owned by the other team because they have completely surrounded our base. When this happens I switch to a tactician, sneak out of the base and set up different spawn points around the map. That totally changes the game from us in a position where we were getting owned to being back on a fair playing field, just from me using a different class. THAT is tactical.

I have to believe this game is revolutionary simply because of this. I can't go back to the other FPS games I loved. I just can't. This game blows them away and I can only move forward from here hoping this game raised the bar for every future FPS..
