Assassin's Creed Movie Casts Oscar-Winning Actress Marion Cotillard

Surely they'd have a decent script to serve these two awesome actors. They're both in great form.

Caught Cotillard in Two Days, One Night last year and she was brilliant in it.

Can I "game" her?

Well it wouldn't be the first exceptionally pretty girl in a horrible movie.

This has the potential to be the first genuinely good video game-based movie

The downside is that it will probably be cancelled or end up in development hell. Potentially good game-based movies never make it to production: see Halo, Bioshock, Mass Effect, Uncharted, the list goes on.

This movie requires Assassins Creed Black Flag and Unity to view. If you want uncut/not blurd nude scenes you'll need Assassins Creed Revelations.

No video game should be turned into a movie, ever. The vision never lives up to what people expect.

Damn Ubisoft is a powerhouse to get Fassbender and the sexy French chick.. But what's up with all of these movies based on games being announced lately?

Movies about games sucked,sucks and will suck, there are very few that were good, and this one will suck also.

Movies I'm praying will exist at some point. Halo (A REAL movie not a mini-series), Splinter Cell (Which has to have Michael Ironside in it, in some capacity) Mass Effect (Maybe with a fem Shep just for good measure) Uncharted (With Nathan Fillion as Nathan Drake....after he's worked out some, of course...)

a) I hope the movie is good, because I would not like to see two of my favourite actors ever (Cotillard and Fassbender) destroy their careers.

b) Emanuel... Marion Cotillard has done movies quite better than Inception and Batman, arguably the worst roles I've seen her play. I get that most of what she has done in Hollywood is worse than her french movies, but if you want American, she plays amazing roles in Nine, Public Enemies or even Big Fish, and they are known enough to be used as a reference.

She'll cost extra at the theater.

Please be a success... I'd love the movie industry to be dominated by great video-games movies, same way it's currently dominated by comic-book movies.. Hope this and Warcraft kick-start it next year
