Plus who wouldn't want Dark Souls 2 to be next gen? The environments are always dam good to look at, so having it that far would be awesome.

However doing current gen is a good safe move.

@alexul2009 i think there something terribly wrong when it has to be a paying consumer who fix your game.

Since the PC version of DS made some actual profit despite its poor execution,they acknowledged that there was some viable market there and decided to make a proper version for the next opus,even going as far as making it the lead platform and i salute them for that.

3rd party games platform exclusives make absolutely no sense by business standards today,the cost of opportunity is just too high.That's why most devs/publishers are switching to a more dlcs based exclusives approach.

In my opinion DS pc began as a horrible port and ended as the best version of the game no fps drop, constant 60 fps up from 30(console version) HD resolution, HD textures, SSAO/SSAA/DOF and many other "effects".

Keyboard/mouse controls are atrocious in dark souls 1 BUT with "dsmfixgui" and a few autohotkey scripts it works PERFECT.

@LiquidGold @Jonno621 Tried to but I must've screwed it up or something, fucked about with my resolution/minimized it etc. Was weird. I uninstalled it, I'll probably re-install and try again during the hols but eh. Like I said I've played it on console so I'm not missing much!

It's not xone/ps4 only but it will be released on pc and :

The first dark souls game looks awesome with a few mods(SSAO/SSAA/DOF and many other "effects"+ HD texture mods) at 60fps yes 60 not 30 fps like the console version .. so imagine what dark souls 2 will look like on pc using this kind of mods.
