Dissidia: Final Fantasy PSP bundle drops August 25

lol nice job sony kids that are ff fans will beg their parents to buy this new edition even though they may already own one. while me myself will keep my old psp until its unplayable with new games.

As a fighting game Dissidia only falls in the good category but as a Final Fantasy it is quite possibly the best. This game made Tidus tolerable for crying out loud, fantastic. Plus the whole calendar system where you can pick a lucky day to play, fast loading (I have the optional 527MB install enabled), deep customizing, lots of secrets, lots of challenge. It's one of Square's strongest modern efforts.

I can't imagine that Sony would change the hardware specs on a new PSP. They'd basically be abandoning 50 million users and splitting the user base in half if they brought out a whole new PSP. A hardware redesign makes sense, perhaps even a PSP Phone...as I boldly predict.

Well well, I had been looking for a reason to get a new PSP....

This would be a lot cooler if we got a custom-printed PSP with the bundle, a la the Japanese Crisis Core bundle. That aside, I may just get this instead of getting my current PSP repaired.

i saw and played a whole lot of this game, let me tell you its the best fighting game on psp in my opinion. It's totally worth the cash if you have it

i dont know about this.... i find myself playing the DS a lot more than the PSP, and I bought them both at launch. Never upgraded my DS (still have the silver one from 2004) so I doubt I will upgrade a PSP.

i have a psp already.. is it worth buying this bundle ?! man hopefully they also come out with a special edition of the game.

Why all the hatred against the bundle? Bundles are not intended for current owners, it's for new players, so why do you care if it's released? Just so you know, these packages won't change the releasedate of the PSP2, so whether this package is on the market or not, it won't change anything at all.

Bundle looks great. Too bad I already have a PSP, a 8gb stick and Advent Children in UMD :'(. Anyway I'm happy they are putting this one out in the US. Final Fantasy games are great. The Crisis Core one they put out in Japan was amazing. Got to love all the PSP2 comments here. Just because a bored person writes a comment about what he hopes the next PSP will be and some internet gaming site puts it in his page just to attract fans does NOT make it fact. Stop talking about PSP2. If Sony reveals anything at E3 about a PSP2 or anything relating to an upgraded PSP, THEN you can start talking about it like it was 100% creditable. As it is now all the gaming lineup for this year is based on the current PSP. And I for one am happy with the one I have. It is stupid for people to believe a UMD-less PSP will come out soon when every single game that is coming out will run on UMD. If Sony puts out a UMD less PSP its gonna loose a lot.... a lot of fans. The only way it can work is if the new PSP comes with a Sony made UMD Dumper so we can put our games in the internal memory, and that looks very very improbable.

why won't they just give a bundle to every psp game. this is getting ridiculous. I don't know any other consoles that release so many different bundles. And they are all the same: its always a game, memory stick and a movie/minigame. At least give something that we've never seen before. some variety would be great.

@ sigerzx you can play psp games on your ps3 you just need a psn network connection and a usb cable. plug it in and register it so then you can play some select games togther.

They should allow you to play PSP games on your PS3, i have a PSP already but think it be kwl to play some PSP games on it too instead of just the PS1 orginals you can play on both. This can would be awesome with a friend on the PS3! :D

Why can't they just make a decent Final Fantasy game???? Since Squaresoft Became SquarEnix I think that the Final Fantasy brand is going to die a slow painful death. Final Fantasy X was the last good Final Fantasy. I am really doubting that they will ever make a game that good again.

damn....psp is looking good with its line-up. with this, agito, crisis core (u guys can debate all you want, i still liked the game enough when i played through it) chains of olympus....sony is trying to build its lineup

@ Vang665 And all other companies are yet to make an RPG half good as SE ones. Hell, almost all classic RPGs are made by Square. Xenogears (my all-time favorite), FF series, Vagrant Story, Chrono Cross are just a portion of SE's sea of excellency and their recent games are all great as well. That's far from "basic" imo.

This is an excellent bundle. However I already own a PSP-3000, but I will definitely be picking up Dissidia for it and Advent Children on Blu-ray for my PS3 when they hit the UK. So that makes up for it. Can't wait!

I've already ditched my PSP. If I replace it, it'll be with the new 'UMD-less' model I've been hearing about. Nonetheless, this is a damn good bundle. Again, I'm tipping my hat to Square-Enix. I'm still gobbling up their DS offerings.
