Dissidia: Final Fantasy PSP bundle drops August 25

looks very basic to me. se has yet to make a game besides rpg's that are any good.

Sony won't ever drop UMD, that would be cutting their market for non-internet users completely. Not everybody who plays PSP has access to download their games. It's stupid to imagine they'd go completely download content. i-tunes is one thing, video games are another thing.

Dissidia is a very fun game. I for see an 8 all the way up to a possible 9 from gamespot.

So my question is if people buy this bundle (which i'm really tempted to do since i've wanted a PSP for a while and i'm a FF fan) when the rumored UMD-less PSP2 comes out, will sony keep making UMD games for the PSP? Or will the future of PSP go to the PSN?

Shame this bundle doesn't have artwork on the console like the japanese one.

That's not a bad deal at all. $30 more than the regular PSP? Dissidia: Final Fantasy is supposed to be $40, which already saves you $10. Then add Advent Children and that other stuff? Personally, I was planning to get a PSP a while from now. Maybe after I got a DS, and even that wouldn't have been for a while. I'm still debating whether or not I'll get this, or if I sould still wait, but it's very tempting. If only I had played Final Fantasy VII, so that I would understand the connections between that and AC, then that might push me over the edge to get it. :P

I will wait to see if this new psp2 device is a reality or not I really can't stand umd it was cursed when it was released.

Now is great chance to update my psp. Might pass on the PSP2. Have to have physical copies of my games;)

I dont care for FF and I hate UMD but if this was announced before the DSi I might have bought a PSP. Sony you waited too long.

@ultimte3ricecrm Why don't you just cancel the order then? @AngryFingers Assuming there will be a new PSP, I would sure hate it not using UMD. Digital download only would mean not being able to lend a game to a friend or borrow one, not being able to re-sell it if you want to, and not getting a case with cool artwork in the instruction manual and possible extras (such as the OST from Prinny).

Well I won't get the bundle since I already have a PSP, but I sure can't wait to get Dissidia! :D

Whoa! I love that Advent Children theme song playing at the end. Hopefully Sony releases a new PSP Go with a nice design.

Aw, man I wish I knew about this sooner! I just ordered a PSP bundle a few days ago.

If the new PSP doesn't use UMD, it'd be a waste of my money to get this seemingly incredible bundle...if the new PSP Go! comes out this year. Dammit Sony! Get your marketing ethics right.

Yeah i was holding to buy a psp 3000 definitely getting this bundle but wait a minute there anouncing a new handheld on e3 ill just have to wait a bit more!

Dissidia IS all kinds of awesome. I played the import version for weeks and still didn't see all there was to see. There's an amazing amount of fan service. I'm sure a lot of people will start out only wanting to play as Cloud and Sephiroth, but they're actually the two least interesting characters to use. I'd say my favorites are Bartz and Firion, though Zidane and Tidus are a lot of fun as well. As far as the villains go, I had a blast with ExDeath, and Kefka is certainly the "Voldo" of this fighter -- fun, unpredictable, and creepy as hell.

Where's the Assassin's Creed bundle?

epic bundle and this game is awesome, my buddy imported it from japan and I got to try it out a few times I really enjoyed it cant wait to pick this one up

Sounds like a nice bundle, but personally, I wouldn't mind if it was a special edition PSP like the GoW bundle last year.

Pretty good deal for those without a PSP (me = P ) perhaps its time to stop mooching off my twelve year old brother and buy my own.

i actually got this set preorderd already cuz my psp got stolen, so this is cool, i do wish it had some type of art on it though like the japanese crisis core pack had!!

I was hoping that the new PSP would be included with the game. That has two analog sticks and a touch screen for games. Guess not this time, maybe by Christmas the new PSP would surface?

It's just a silver PSP? No special art on it? That's...weak.

Could care less about another PSP, but I can't wait for that game... Dissidia is going to rock, though I sort of wish it were a PS3 release with online, but still. I can't believe the article blatantly skips over one of the series best protagonists (Zidane), though, and only mentions the series second best villain (Sephiroth). For shame, GS.

The only thing missing is some kinda logo on the psp. But the price of this bundle is very interesting. I would get one if they weren't considering making another psp

Damn it! My PSP broke 2 weeks ago and I didn't want the Ratchet and Clank Bundle so I bought the Standard Piano Black one. If I would of known 2 weeks ago that this precious gem was coming out, I would have waited! Looks like my current PSP will have a little "accident"....
