Dozens added to 360 backward-compatibility list

What about Doom 3:ROE, Return to Wolfenstein, Call of Duty 2:BR1, Brothers in Arms 1&2, Timesplitters 2&Future Perfect? Not to mention personal favs that are a little off the beaten track like Project Snowblind and Area 51(especially now that a sequel is on the way). Oh well.. guess my old Xbox is here to stay. BTW am I the only person who didn`t like Psychonauts? I love innovative stuff, but that game just had too many things I did like about it.(13 endings, too many unnecessary characters, too many point and click type puzzles that were illogical....Oh, and F**K the MILKMAN)

I understand that some titles are difficult to emulate but The Chronicles of Riddick really need to be included in the backwards compatibility list along with other great titles like Panzar Dragoon Orta or Oddworld Strangers Wrath if Microsoft worked on difficult to emulate AAA titles with a smaller update I'd be much happier. An example is needed here ok so Whacked!, Dynasty Warriors 4, and Rapala Pro Fishing could all be sacrificed in my opinion for Riddick, Oddworld, Dragoon, or Beyond good and evil; it's ridiculous.

Where the hell is mechassault? I was told by a Microsoft that it was in the plans from the very beginning, and once again, a bunch of **** games are added to the list that I could honestly give a damn about (except Conker, which is vaguely interesting).

Baroncx, you see. Some games are easier to emulate than others, Chronicles of Riddick is a very advanced game for an Xbox game, and other games aren't as advanced and easier to emulate, and if it's easy to emulate them, why not just do it and add them to the list? : \

All I can say is thanks MS and I look forward to the next update in April. Guys it appears that they may be going on a quarterly schedule for the moment with a few exceptions. I estimate that May or April will be the next update time. Emulation for xbox games can be tricky on the 360 and considering that the games look even better in HD than they did on the original I'm happy. I can say that neither the Wii or the PS3 can boast that it improves the way old games look and I've played BC games on both of those systems. The games are just a testament to great progamming on the original Xbox. Some games are more demanding than others---- Riddick for one. The better the game the harder the task of getting it to run. Unreal Championship 2: The Liandri Conflict was made with a graphic engine modified specifically to push the Xbox so emulation of the game has to be a nightmare and take some time to do. The Xbox had some amazing games so this has to be quite a task at a software level for emulation.

Hmm, the new Mortal Kombat, Scarface (since the 360 version was scrapped), Splinter Cell DA is a suprise . . . Someone test out Psychonauts and make sure it works good. Decent list here. Waiting on Panzer Dragoon Orta and 007 Everything or Nothin, one or two other titles, but at least most of mine work now. Hopefully these updates will keep coming every couple of months.

ARGH!!!!!! Why is it all the games i'm waiting for (Mechassault, Panzer Dragoon Orta, Riddick, Kingdom Under Fire Crusaders/Heros, Doom3 Resurrection) keep missing every update list?!?!?!?! I don't care about any of these others!! Oh well, I guess I just have to keep my old xbox a little bit longer.

'Bout time they made Shenmue II compatible. Now I just wish they'd hurry up with Republic Commando.. And BTW, since they're making Shenmue II backwards compatible, does that mean that they're letting us play Shenmue II and prepare for the release of Shenmue III? It's a long shot, I know, but we live in hope :).

Awesome. All I want now is Panzer Dragoon Orta and all of my BC dreams for the XBOX 360 will have come true. I am very happy to see the first Buffy the Vampire Slayer game on this list too. I honstly didn't think Psychonauts would make the cut, so I bought it for PS2 instead. I'm glad that I was wrong and I still have a great game, albeit on a different platform.
