E3 '07: Unreal Tournament III due in '07, PS3/PC exclusive 'til '08

The later release for the 360 version is actually a good thing. There are way too many games coming out this fall and and winter for the 360, now it can shine on its own in 2008.

When they were both scheduled Sept 07 me and my friends were deciding on one or the other and the tide was turning to UT3. On the surface it looks a lot better than Halo in our opinion. We dont have unlimited money so we couldnt afford the luzury of trying them. UT was going to win the battle of what we play as it looks a lot better to us and will attract SO many less snapperheads than H3 will undoubtably do.

The PC will clearly take over both of them, but it might be interesting to see which of the consoles will conquer the market.

c'mon MS, put some more money into it. I got a ps3 too but now I might have to wait to see which version is better.

i think they actually helped the 360. many people are going to be playing gta4, halo 3. bioshock, blue dragon, mass effect, and lost odyssey. to me, i would have time to fit unreal until next year.

I love how these Company spokes people go around spouting off "exclusive" this and "exclusive" that. Exclusive means it's never going to show up on any other platform. Super Mario Galaxy is an exclusive game. UT3 isn't "exclusive" it's just coming out before the 360 version. I wouldn't call that exclusive. Either words have meaning or they don't.

oh well i have quake wars:ET, Halo 3, Pgr 4, mass effect, bioshock, cod 4, army of two, GTA 4, two worlds, GH3, Forza 2 and the gears of war series + more to keep me busy until 2008 for UT3. Lol Sony finally gets a decent exclusive and it's only for a little while with a game which will be better on PC anyway.

Dont really care because "Halo 3, The Simpsons Game, Bioshock" and a few more are oon my list.

PS3 and PC can have it because people are going to playing Halo 3 on the 360. It will problaby do better for it to come out in 08 for the 360, that way it is not sandwiched in with Halo 3 and GTA 4

If Sony paid to have UT3 come out on their system first then it's the smartest move they ever made. This game looks to be twice the game of Halo 3 but with half the name in the console world. Tempted to upgrade ye olde pc for this puppy...

I can wait, my 360 has plenty of other games to keep me happy with in the meantime.

UTIII making a lot of people want to buy a PS3? Hmm... I dunno about that one. I think a port of Wiisports would do better considering today's "gamers." As a 360 owner, I honestly can say I'm not disappointed. I could get a new PC if I really wanted to play this game, but I've never been a big fan of the UT series. I might get the game (PC) when I do build my new comp, whenever that may be (I'm only going to once there are at least 3 newer PC games I really want to play).

it's probably coming out later for 360 because they must be still working on it. It was originally supposed to be pc/ps3 only, but then they didn't announce it for 360 until a few months ago because of the success of Gears. So that has to be the reason why 360 version wont come out until next year, because it's just not ready for this year.

It will be coming march 08 and also include cross platform play on live. This will be sweet! It is only obvious that there will also be an update for GEOW to allow for cross platform multiplayer.

With UT 2007 showing up on PC (and PS3) primarily, Gears coming to PC with better stuff, it shows where Epics true loyalties lie. PC FTW!

At least it's on the platform I want, PC. Man has Epic been all over the place so far.

Looks like they want all there shooters to compete with Halo 3 this fall. I don't blame Sony for buying exclusivity for games like UT3 and Haze. Too bad they won't be exclusives though. Halo 3 will be though to compete with.

I don't think MS is too worried about it because it is still coming out on PC.

thats cool i guess. makes sense considering the game would have to compete with halo 3 if it came out this holiday. Im sure this is great news for ps3 owners but i dont consider this game that big enough to spur huge console sales.
