Final Fantasy XIII tops UK chart

@awesome I totally agree im having to much fun playing god of war 3 to even care about any game's that only 360 owners can get. Its amazing that ps3 has a game that pretty much tops all pc graphics. I sure hope it wins game of the year.

@Awesome I Did not call you a fanboy of anything I was merely responding to why you asked that Mass Effect got exclusivity and how do you know MS(the dollar sign you use is so cute by the way) pays for every exclusive some yes but so does Sony its business. My bro has a Ps3 im pumped he can finally play GTA LCS, but I just took exception to you saying that the Ps3 could do everything better because you say so and Mass Effect cant be judged as the greatest RPG because you cant play it on PS3. You also said you sold your 360 for your PC why all this complaining in the first place about not being able to play ME2 if you can. Any way enjoy GoW3 looks like an amazing game that all gamers should enjoy.

@ awesome very well said.! MOST of 360 games can also be played in pc. i personally i prefer to play those games in pc with a better graphics than the 360. that's why i loves games for ps3.! so for ps3 owners get ready for FF14, exclusive baby! :)

@True_Chaos_uk Lol, Look whos ranting now...just chill. All i was trying to say is that Mass Effect would have been better if it was released on the PS3 too. Im not knocking the game, I KNOW its available on the PC, in fact thats why i sold my Xbox cos i could just as well get the game on there, with MUCH better graphics, on my PC. I dont care if Ps3 gets shafted with download content- or if people think M$ helping a new IP to gain its exclusitivity (thats what THEY want u to think!) Its all to do with the $$$ to secure the deal.. You will never see ANY of the PS3 exclusive games on a PC. Yea, you may call me a sony fanboy - but im too busy playing God of War III to care what u think..

@awesome The Xbox has exclusivity of Mass Effect because MS published it and helped this new ip develop into what it is today, also because of the working relationship they had on the previous xbox with Kotor and jade empire dont presume sony werent offered these games. Dragon age was rated slightly different on 1 or 2 sites due to minor graphical differences Ps3 gets shafted on DLC In europe PS3 is not even getting a DA Awakenings disk. People are entitled to there own opinions, Mass effect 2 is on PC as well why arent you ranting at them. You like FFXIII yeah it is better on the ps3, but other people dont get over it. They like Mass Effect 2 I can tell your biased to 360 play on PC or dont.

@ xeridae learn to enjoy the game dude.. in kinda looks like button mashing for you but there are preparations before you start button mashing.. if you dont like it dont play it then still 60$ is really worth it.. unlike other rpgs that takes 15 to 20hrs to beat.

japanese games are superior even though inferior western game publications will try to belittle them with their biases

@HavocV3 Actually its Bioware that needs to make notes... what gives with the Xbox exclusivity of Mass Effect. so that at least we, PS3 owners, can comment whether its actually worthy of best RPG... try not to compare the inferior xbox version of FFXIII with Mass Effect... also note Biowares Dragon age was rated better on PS3 than the xbox version- Bioware take NOTE you can make a much better Mass Effect on the PS3 system like you did with Dragon Age and like what SE did with thier MULTIPLATFORM FFXIII...

I hate it when people try to denigrate a good game by calling it simple button mashing! Almost any game could be reduced to button mashing [has anyone ever had to play a fighting game against a younger relative who spammed the same simple combo over and over again?!] Good games make you do more then that if you want to get far and make it worth your while! Also, kudos to FF13: I deserve a pat on the back for preordering it :).

while FF XIII is awesome, SE couldn't make it too awesome. there's gotta be some room for them to improve on the next installment for the modern-day next-gen consoles. maybe next time we'll see the regular FF stuff along with amazing graphics :)

I tried to play FF7 but the whole turn-based stuff wasn't for me as I'm more into fast paced gory stuff like 'god of war' and 'left for dead'. I did watch my friend complete FF7 and it was cool watching it and even made me get the soundtrack cos I thought that was great. I started playing FF XIII because I fancy the character Fang. Lol. I must say I do like the game. The art is beautifully done just like the story and animations. The only thing I wish they'd added was battle music like that in FF7.

the 360 owns UK, so im surprised its still in favor of the ps3. and yes, the game is absolutely fantastic.

@dynomitemasta. 54% on the PS3 is a great figure when you consider how far behind Sony were in the console war. Obviously if it was an exclusive then it would have sold more, but FF13 isn't available on the 360 in Japan, which is where its largest fanbase resides, so Sony will still do well, and keep their status in the orient.

FFXIII is simply amazing

since when is 54% a lions share?......70% is a lions share. If anything, you have got it turned around.... with FFXIII being multi platform, the PS3 lost a lot of potential console buyers, that's the bigger story. If this stayed a PS3 exclusive, many of those people would have bought PS3's.

im glad FFXIII has made a big success, i mean everyone i have ever played has never disappointed me, i love FFXIII its the best of its kind so far, although im thinking what will happen when God of War 3 is here it might be a battle between GOW 3 and FFXIII although i like both, im with FFXIII all the way, i love Square-Enix. Now all that remains is Final Fantasy Versus XIII, i hope its just as good as FFXIII

I'm glad for FFXIII doing well. I've been a FF fan sence FFII or FFIV when I tryed playing as a little kid and really have no sence of what I was doing. Was fun anyways. Loved rpgs ever since. I always love the storys and FFXIII gives it in ways I never thought games could do. Its the best game I have ever seen as for looks. Plus how can you not love a ps3 game that doesn't have a install and not much loading...Seems impssible but SE did it.

Im really a BIG BIG fan of FF that's why im plannin to buy this game after GOW3 but i am still havin doubt if ll buy it or not, so i decided to watch the some reviews and read comments just to convice myself to buy this game. After reading this article i think the game is really good considering that it's now on the top. Hopefully if i'll buy this game SE will not disapoint me again... or else i'll leave the FF world and move on to other RPG game. :(

Honestly, i really dont feel playin a girl character as the main character for a FF game. for me the LAST and TRUE FF was the FFX. since SS became SE, FF became something different. when i played the FFXII, something in my mind that tells me that this is not the FF i used to play, i tried tellin myself-no this is FF so i should loved it. but i can't.! dunno why. :(

really wanted to love this game. 23 hours in and I know that i'll just pay the late fee and re-rent this game instead of buying. I feel like I've been playing an overly long intro. So ticked off @ not having at least 1 side quest by now, not even going to re-rent, Resonance of Fate comes out tomorrow. Good game, but if you have played 1- 12, will remind you of RE4 vs the other RE's.

i have played all final fantasy and 13 is far the most beautiful and addicting game.

@ themrdrof1 I agree with you 100% in context to what you said about SE tinkering the formula, FFX was what I call the last TRUE FF game, but none the less FF13 makes the cut its an overall good game, it doesn't deliver quite as well as the previous installments but defintitly worthy of its top spot.

Good to see that its selling well, its a great gamenand SE deserves the credit.
