So, the PS3 version counted for a little over half of the sales, eh? Interesting, my props goes to Sony and Microsoft for holding the fastest selling game of the year. Makes me wonder if SE could have accumulated even more sales if they had released it for the Wii. After all, the Final Fantasy games origins comes from Nintendo. Why not let Nintendo in on a cut of the profit.

@halojp23 and kavadias1981. I hope you all will agree that these console war arguments are just stupid. Most people buy consoles based on the company making it, any exclusives the player may like, and services. No one cares that Sony "beasted" Microsoft, or stole each others games.

@okassar I bought it, I've only played like 19 hours or so of it but I've heard that the second half really opens up and gives you more freedom. But it definitely is not a "do whatever you want" RPG, so if that's what you want you shouldn't buy it (and I LOVE this game fyi, just trying to be objective). It's linear because it's focused on story and characters, which for me is great but for others is not so great haha.

Good to hear FF XIII is selling on the 360. Microsoft learned Sega's lesson, FF is a huge franchise and it could be a decisive game to buy a system. / Saturn and N64 could not compete with the ps because they didn't have FF. At least that was in Japan. Surprised to see that Final Fanstasy has sold poorly in Japan. Hand helds took over console gaming.

And the din of 12 year old fanboys and fangirls grows ever so louder. The only thing more popular would be a McDonald's Happy Meal with Chibi action figures and I'm sure that is coming soon.

I'm still surprised that Heavy Rain is still in the UK Charts

Despite microsofts advertisements, people have been used to FF being on the Sony platform since VII, so alot of people naturally don't trust FF being on the 360, Pyschological i guess?

Only a 4% difference and you .... think its some great victory over the 360? Considering the reviews, only the name of Final Fantasy is selling this game. You think people would buy a game that blows for 20-30hrs, nearly the entire game? Have to wait till the 11th of 13th chapter before its fun... pass, there are plenty of better games to play.

That was to be expected, good game on a great system. I'm sure if people have the choice, they would pick it for the PS3. I know I did, but ya never know. Keep it up Sony, oh and you too Square Enix.

Superior version IS on PS3- of course it would have sold well on the PS3.. BTW where is the chart listing? gamespot usually list the top 10 here...

...the remaining 46% has wasted their money in FFXIII (LMFAO, not really).... Even without a 360 version, FFXIII would've still be in No.1 in the charts....and the fate of FF games might start again...this week...I hope not.

Go Sonic & Sega Racing, it was good enough to earn it's spot. Surprised to see Sonic Classics Collection so high, no one seems to have heard of it (Only one site and one magazine have rated it, and sixteen people on Gamespot).

FFXIII has done so well since it was ported to both consoles. Developers should wise up and do this more often to see their sales rise in the future. I know the fanboy express will hit me for this one, but sales mean everything and everyone makes out for the better.

PS3 version of course sold better, should've sold better then 53% though, FF was meant and is meant to be played on Sony consoles (yeah yeah, there were FF games on NES and SNES and all that) and it's the superior version on top of that.
