Gran Turismo 5 delayed again

You people are all Forza fanboys trolls. If you not interested in Gran Turismo stay off the forumns about it. If Forza was as great as you all say you would be playing it instead of spending all of your time trolling.

@SanjuroGT Why not wait forever, by that logic it will be the best game EVER. It's all well and good to say it gets better but untill its release all it is, is a lot of broken promises and teasing clips on youtube. For a game that should have been out years ago, c'mon, someone needs to be held accountable.

All of you guys that are telling everyone to stop complaining because it got delayed again must not understand just how many times this has been delayed ALREADY. You don't understand what potentially "only another month" could end up turning into. I'm not confident in a 2010 release, honestly.

i actually expected this but hey guess what it is necessary because the game just keeps getting better and better that way and c mon if its rushed like the past NFS titles then ya its gonna suck so i expect a lot of detail from the cars thxs to this

What they could have done is just put the nascar, rally and 3D stuff into DLC later on. This way they could have had the game out on time. I mean nascar does not interest me in the least esp if one considers the fact that you will drive in a circle for 300 laps. Rally stuff I'm on the fence with as Dirt 2 hit that itch pretty well and not so sure they can live up to that. 3D gaming might account for what 3% of total sales if that. Woulda-Coulda-Shoulda this game had better live up to the hype or sony will lose alot of money on this one. 60 mill has been spent on the game so far and this delay adds more.

For all the time this game has been in development, it will be the greatest failure of all times if it fails to be the greatest racing game of all times. Delays rise expectations.

oh man, why they always like prolonging something ever last minute man. It's not right, but oh well anything to make the game better i guess.

@programemania - From what I have read, you are partially right about it being a production issue. Apparently, because of the latest firmware update (3.50 I think), PD had to spend a little time on that, not the game itself, and they missed their production window for producing the blu-ray discs. Now, as soon as they can reserve enough time at whatever factory they make those discs they will be able to release the game. They will put a release date on the game as soon as they know when they can make the discs.

We don't even know what kind of delay this is... Is this a shipping problem, is there a problem with making the discs, or is this a game development delay? If the latter is the case, we could be waiting months.

Oh Man ... Even though I don't have a PS3, I was seriously hoping for GT5 to release this time around. And I can therefore, only imagine the disaapointment of ardent GT fans !!!

I think the delay is just a bold move of loosing profit and fans, big time. If you look at the calendar, after a week, COD black ops is coming out and gamers will spend time playing COD and GT5 will be spending it's time in the drawers, so Polyphony's delay is just a delaying tactic to capture games money and attention. What coward piece of $#!+.

If they delay it any longer GT5 be on PS4... IMO seems Poly'D are struggling with the fancy PS3 hardware constraints...

was on the fence about buying this game but not anymore. i liked GT4 but i'll probs just get another FPS instead lol

@Zoomer30 yes you are right. and to be honest that is what i am afraid of i.e. an other delay. I love the Gran Turismo franchise though and I am surely waiting for GT5. and so I have to disagree with mate, PD shouldn't abandon it, or delay it further for that matter.

GT5, launch title for the PS4 There, I said it, now it will be even later (GT has never been out as a LT even though every version was hyped as such)

@progamemania 9 times out a 10 when you see a dates on stores sites like that, they are guesses, after PD pulled yet another fast one and left the retailers (but they just LOVE this) and gamers hanging out to dry, they just make a guess. Wait about a week or two, chances are high you will start to see March 2011 dates popping up like weeds. At that point its time to give up and buy something else, clearly PD loves this game so much they cant stand to part with it.

this is weird, I just checked the official GT website for the UK and it says November 2010. not November 2nd, just November. I am beginning to believe that it has something to do with enhancing the anti-piracy.

they are waiting for another PS3 price drop when the PS3 will finally be available for $199....that way more people will be able to buy the PS3 which lead to more sales of this game thus finally covering the budget of this game.....

@supersonikk Yeah like gt3 and gt4 i forgot that lol. There will be so much to do though so we will be playing it for a while :) i am just pissed off coz i have had it on preorder since 2008 :(

Agreed, it's been delayed way too long now, but hey better than rushing it and ending up with unfinished crap like FF14 for example

i said if before i say it again... a developer can take all the time necessary to make their products better, so worries or complaint from me. ^_^

3 day? Dude this thing has been in development for 5 years and poly has spent 60+ million on development? If should have released months ago. Probably had to use all that time and money to make it look and play a fraction as good as FORZA.

3 day delay and some people are going bonkers. Just take a super 72 hr nap and all is well lol

It has nothing to do with the hardware. They're just trying to cram too much into one game. It's probably just buggy as hell.

sony hardware for this generation fuxx up. everyone knows the design of the hardware makes it hard to optimize game's graphic. that is why the xbox360(by early one year release) game look nice by average comparison. this shows how amd/ati's technology is better than nvidia... if sony trust nvidia again on the next gen system, they are really stupid enough...and prepare to get lost.

With this long of a delay I expect this game to be golden otherwise all those waiting would be wasted just like GT PSP, hope it doesn't though.

I know they want to get this out before Christmas to cash in on present money... But chances are they've tried to get TOO much into the game. I bet it misses that release window and doesn't get released till Feb. Sometime "before Christmas" should be translated as "We don't know when we'll get it done by". And when it is released it could be buggy if they rush it and we'll be spending the next month downloading updates... I can wait for them to get it perfect. This game will be worth it...

why do so many people that don't like GT and prefer Forza come here to put thumbs down and write stupid comments? if you don't like GT then don't come a GT related page.

Anyone else feeling crushed again?? Its been too long... too many promises they keep failing... prologue was just a tease to help finance this game... maybe they should of spent more time devoloping gt 5 than the psp go and gt for psp...

Well damn it all to hell. This was my number 1 game I was looking forward to this year. At least it still coming out this year though. And i suppose it's a good thing that I now don't have to spend $100 this November.

All the delays aren't going to help this game much. Too much waiting or too much hype will lead to disappointment when it does ship. Don't get me wrong, this is a must-have for me, but I've gone through 2 PS3's (original fat & now slim) waiting for this.

I don’t like deadlines. I feel that its better to announce a game closer to completion. Its ready when its ready. Don’t announce release dates until the game is truly finished and ready for store shelves. However what's done is done. I want a truly immersive racing experience from GT5. Rushed games suck big time. It's one.the major reason that movie based games suck so often. GT1- GT4 were amazing. More so when you think that they were on previous generation systems. So this delay while disappointing, doesn't mean the end of the world especially with so many AAA titles coming out this season.

Most people complain about overpriced DLC on these message boards and here we have a game that seems to go out of its way to cram as much content on the disk as possible. The delays are a pain but I respect them more for being proud of their product and not wanting to disappoint the fans with the final product.

Odd that one of the PlayStation's killer apps has been 3 and half years coming. People say "it will be worth it" but what they say in this regard means sh*t to me: no game is worth waiting 3 and half years for.

How about if sony delay GT5 until summer 2011! So that the game could come out with UNBELIEVABLE REVIEWS!!!!!
