Gran Turismo 5 delayed again

No shocker here. I bet it will be 2014 when prologe 2 gets here and then GT5 will come out. What a waste.

Why not release this game in 2013? Isn't that the year the PS4 is suppose to come out?

Im happy with developers delaying games to improve them but i have been waiting 5 years for this now it was one of the main reasons i got a PS3 on release date and got really excited to think it was less then a month away and now another delay :( plus had a bet with my uni house mate saying it wont be delayed again so i have now lost £20 :(

@niels200683 Sony: our sincerest apologies as it seems that 7-layer Blu-ray discs are not compatible with the current PS3 hardware. Currently we these disc's only run off a specific unannounced hardware that can only be refereed to as the code name: 'PS4.' We have no plans on making any announcements on this new platform.

Ha wouldn't it be funny if it turns out to be rubbish :)

PD: Well... we finished the game, fine-tuned the gameplay to the maximum degree, added even more cars than announced, added the wipeout 'cars', bicycles, tricycles, unicycles, horses, donkeys, marathon runners, skateboards, hovercraft, scooters, wolves, lions, tigers, hunting dogs and reindeir as well as explosions and visible damage to all cars, animals, etc.. Unfortunately, it will not fit on a blu-ray disc. The game will be delayed until the first 7-layer blu-ray discs are mass produced so the game can be made available as a four-disc set - hopefully a console will be available at that time, that can handle the game itself as well.

OH MY GOD JUST RELEASE THE GAME!! And sorry but those of you who are saying they are releasing it at Christmas to get an increase in sales makes no sense at all... E.g. The people who really want it will buy it on the day of release regardless of how close it is to Christmas, everyone else will probably wait for Christmas anyway to get it bought as a gift. At this time of year I doubt it makes very little difference as to when they release it, as long as it is before Christmas... Now they are just starting to piss people off.

how about this Polyphony I will delay buying this game by about 2 years i been waiting so long that now it will be your turn to wait before you see my $$$

oh man this game's gonna be awesome it's the only racing game i'll get and it has NASCAR and other racing organizations so many jealous 360 owners out there

its obvious they pushed the game closer to the holidays since thats when game sales are at their highest. 1 or 2 months won't make a difference to a game thats been in the making for so long. still, considering the budget and time this game took , it better be the best racing sim ever made.

I couldn't care less about gt5 in terms of it being the greatest driving sim of all time because I actually whole heartedly hate realistic driving sims, even Forza, just my opinion but I much prefer arcade style racing games. No no I'm laughing because Sony make me laugh. Seeemplez

WTF is going on!? No, not at polyphony, but at everyone. 2 November vs. holiday season, seems like 1 month delay at most. I don't realize what the QQ is about when the delay is short and the game will be perfect. But go on and thumbs me down.

by the time GT5 is out, i will be "Granbah" and my "Gransons" will be able to finally play "Granmah"Torismo 5.

WTF??? AGAIN???? if this is a marketing campaing to make people more "hungry" for the game, it´s not working, i´m this close to not buying it... ..and if it´s because a bunch of games are coming out right now and they don´t want any competition, it just might backfire, look at what happened to PS3, they took too long releasing it, and a lot of people changed to the "dark side", aka xBox 360, so it just might happen again....

They may as well rename it Gran Turismo: Forever and announce it'll be coming out in 2018. This is getting ludicrous now.

I've said it once, and I'll say it again...I don't care how often they delay it or whatever else. If they can't get the sounds of my beloved V8 engines right, then **** them. They could have every car in the world in the game. They could have J-Lo, Beyonce', and any other hot chick you can think of in the game nekkid, and if they screw up the V8 sounds again, I still won't want it. They screwed that **** up in 3. They screwed it up again in 4. If they screw it up again in 5, like I said....**** 'em.

i am not a fan of the series but whats another few weeks delay compared to how long the fans have been waiting. if it means they are ironing out any final bugs and glitches and hopefully they will release a spectacular games as all the fans are hoping for. this game will be huge and will sell ps3's by the bucketload. have patience it's nearly here. as a gamer who plays mostly 360 but has a ps3 for the great exclusives then enjoy and appreciate a great game whatever console its released on. GT5 will be awesome and we will look at it going wow!! love games hate fanboys.

Too many delays. Now I'm either expecting something godlike or something broken.

I would rather a late game than a bug filled game, plus i'm 100% sure it will be worth the wait.

all you guys who keep laughing at gran turismos delay are honestly just jealous and scared that when this game DOES come out it will be extraordinarily perfect thats why you keep making fun of it to take the pressure off yourself. i know ur all scared inside but we will(GT fans) be enjoying this game for the next 10 years and im SURE forza 5 still wont look as good. call me a fanboy i dont give a hell because im honestly just a HUGE GRAN TURISMO FAN.

A little patience is a virtue and well worth the wait of another 2 months. be thankful the wait for gt5 wasnt as long as SC2. A game that took 10 years to make and was well worth the wait. Sony will not disappoint.

It is GT5. I can wait for it forever. Hope this is the last delay though. No matter how long it would take. I am waiting patiently on this one. I mean we waited for yours now, It wouldn't kill us to wait a couple of months more.

zzamaro LOL i dont understand well maybe you can understand this. They ANNOUNCED it as a launch title for a ps3. It wasnt ready so they said that date wont be met meaning it was DELAYED. Now we got like 4 more dates after that and they said no DELAYING the release even more. Just because they were not finished the game doesnt exempt it from being a DELAYED GAME if you say something will come out on a certain date then no matter the reason it cant come out on that date then its DELAYED. Gran DELAYSMO 5 times is what this game should be called because according to sony it should of been released on november of 2006

This is ridiculous at this point. Just cancelled my pre-order. No need to have holiday money tied up for no reason.
