Gran Turismo 5 delayed again

as long as I can still get it as a Christmas present then I am all good.

Noooo!!! I guess they have to do what they have to do. I was really excited for that game. And the waiting continues...

5 years and still no gt game on the ps3 lol..

That's really too bad. I was real looking forward to this. But I hope that they fix what ever caused the push back and deliver us a more complete smoother game :)

@zo70 Already got it pre-ordered. Frustrating to wait, but hey I just got Starcraft II and that took 10 years. And it was worth the wait. There are enough games out there for me to buy. I'd rather developers take all the time they need to get the game done right than rush to market to just make a buck. I can think of a lot of other things in gaming that sound more silly than a racing simulator. Look at what I'm doing in SC2, I'm a zerg player commanding bugs for crying out loud.

Is Anybody really going to buy this game? I mean are you really looking forward to A racing Simulatior? Hmmm Sounds weird if you are.

Next week they will announce: "Polyphony Digital has just added Hot Wheels, a Hot Wheel race track editor using all the race track pieces you remember as a kid, RC cars, destruction derbies, monster trucks, tanks, boats, planes, tractor racing, and a new, never before seen potato bag racing!"

A bit odd that with just three weeks to the Nov 2nd release its been delayed again...In my experience the majority of games go "gold" a little earlier than this, so makes ya wonder if they found a major issue somewhere or its to spend time tackling the USB hack issue.. Either way, i guess with so much riding on this title, due to its long development, its not a massive surprise. I just hope for their sake it appears by Christmas (and i don't even own a PS3) otherwise even more credibility will be lost, which would be a shame for what is a very high class development team.

I'd like to say i'm surprised but i'd only be called a liar. Edit: Just a thought on the date, will this mean it will be the one thing everyone wants but can't get for Christmas as it's sold out. (If released)

Sony don't want to distribute the game from Gamestop or any other normal store, they asked the help from Santa Claus!

This is gonna be THE racing game of all times. It will surely set a standard so high, no other racing game is going to be able to exceed over GT5 long long time... really long time

If this game is anything but perfect in every single way there going to look stupid! There putting so much expectations in fans that if they don´t live up to it there going bankrupt and never going to make another game under the name polyphony digital!

Its a shame as well microsoft are releasing forza 3 ultimate edition (all DLC and top gear stuff) ill buy that seeing as ill still be alive when it comes out

Wow another delay? I like the idea that polyphony are perfectionists, and they pretty much make great racing games all the time. The good news is that its still due out this year, so the delay is probably a couple weeks, so no big deal. I think they found a bug or something and want to fix it and release to a high standard. I hope all developers take their time to make sure their product is polished before releasing.

well, I dont mind waiting. I like and I have being playing Forza, but I really hope GT5 doesnt let me down. I really believe GT5 will give Forza a run for the money, a really big one....

Well with all the wait they lost a sell from me i love Gran Turismo but i'm not enough of a fan to wait any longer.

Eh, just a month or so. No big deal. It will be out by the holidays.

They should rename this game Gran Turismo Forever

I'm not expecting anything by now, I KNOW it will be awesome.... but it would kind of suck when it finally is released :( it's like Duke Nukem Forever, I want it but I like this torture like wait :P

WTF....Man...this game is like Sony's unicorn.It looks nice,it's unique,you can't catch it and it's...legendary ( like in tales about a monster that only the oldest of grannies heard about but noone has ever seen it). A nice tale about a unicorn worth 60 million $. The hype is currently so high that I'm afraid that once it gets out,people will have soooo high expectations of this game,that it will fail not because it will be crappy, but because it won't be whatever we thought it would be....Perfection. It's like someone's wife has prepared a nice dinner,lit the candles,chilled the champagne and waited in anticipation,excited,thrilled but her husband came late and now the candles are burnt out,the ice is melted and she's sleeping.She woke up,she was happy to see him but the evening is gone and it's just not the same.

I brought the PS3 for two games, God of War 3 and this game. Now Ive lost interest it. We have had the entire Forza trilogy in the time it took this to come out and Number 4 is on its way. Maybe this is the new Duke Nukem Forever.

More chance of seeing GT5-Prologue 2 before the full game comes out... it's getting beyond a joke.

Do they understand that in order to make money you have to actually release the game? Not endlessly hype, develop, and delay. Ask 3d realms how that worked out for them.

Well, all I have to say is that there is no excuse for a single flaw in this game now! After 5 years and an almost unbelievable amount of attention to detail this had better be the greatest racing game in the past, present and future!

on the plus side it will make the PS4 launch

they should name it Gran Turismo 5 FOREVER.
