Mario anniversary bundles, Wii Remote Plus coming Nov. 7

nice color choice nintendo... though i doubt its really for mario ... red means stop meaning these will be the last new wiis and dsi`s made before wii 2 and 3ds hit. it also is the color of blood which means both wii and dsi sales are dieing. these bundles scream warning to me for some reason. if you do buy these dont open them.. they could be worth alot of money one day...

I never understand when people already have one of these systems will go out and blow another 200 bucks on another just because it has a paint job... Tell you a trick. Use spray paint from the hobby shop.

@Jenova-Witness, i dont have to look up sales numbers... i see how the ps3 is beating the wii almost every week in japan here on gamespots sales charts. i also see how the 360 has out sold them both more then enuff to cover a months worth of bad japan sales. because the last 3 months 360 has outsold both wii and ps3 by over 150 k and on a great week sales almost never reach 50 k for a week in japan. like i said.. nintendo knows the wii`s days are numbered. it did have a great run though. but it ends starting november 4th... trust me :)

Well I'm not exactly going to buy another Wii just for a game and a new color, but it's a good bargain for people who still don't have one. The key word being "still". I think the main reason Wii is slowing down on sales is because everyone that wants one has one already. Not that that's bad, just how it is. I have four normal Wiimotes already. Damn. They'll still be selling the WiiMotionPlus on its own, right? I only want it for Skyward Sword. :P Maybe it'll come bundled with a WiiRemotePlus, though. That'd be sick. Four Swords Adventures came with one of those Gamecube-GBA connectors, after all.

@nintendoboy16 : My opinion is my fact personally. This is part of freedom, opinions and self expression. Motion sensing is garbage and that is a fact to me. My opinion stands. I can dismiss them all I want because to me they are all toiletry as is the Wii and Motion Sensing gimmicks. @NOscope42 : Out of a library of 1146 Wii games there are about 4 games I would even be remotely interested in playing. @Flint247 : Good you laughed, but my opinion stands. Not everyone likes flopping around a controller or jumping around the room like an ape to "enjoy" a "game".

@riariases: Don't get so bent out of shape about it. It's not even a real word. If you don't like it just ignore it. It's that simple.

@Gelugon_baat The trick there is that it's limited edition. Collectors will want to buy one, and the low price will encourage anyone who hasn't bought a Wii that there has never been a better time. However, I do agree with what you're saying, which is why I expect Nintendo to announce a new console in a year or two, as well as push sales of the next-gen 3DS. The nice thing that companies can do to you is make your older hardware obsolete so that you're forced to buy their new system, starting a whole new cycle of sales for them.

Okay, to stay on topic, is the controller bigger with the built in WiiMotion+? Or is it the same size? And what am I gonna do with the 2 WiiMotion+'s I already have? I guess I could use the rubber for a condom.

Time will tell if this gamble of theirs would work, but this is no solution to what I believe is the true dampener to sales of the Wii now: over-saturation of Nintendo's available markets. Having sold so many of the non-perishable product that is the Wii, there would be fewer and fewer consumers who are willing to buy more Wii's - especially if they already have it.

I am really interested in buying the 25th Anniversary version, but I already have a Wii. I don't want to start my collection of Nintendo console again!

@Nintendo_Ownes7 Seriously? Who gets COD in their Wii? Those sales are so minimum compared to sales on 360 and ps3. I feel bad for people who have to play it on the Wii. I like the Wii, but it just doesn't compare. I think they will have some trouble this holiday season as well, but that New Super Mario bros game is fantastic so the bundle will help a lot.

I really want a Yellow DsiXL. It's sold in Japan and Europe,but they are very expensive to order from there.( around $280 ). I guess I'll save my money and wait for the 3DS.

i imagine that now that the wii has a new color version the ps3 and xbox360 will do the same,all they do is copy nintendo ex:motion control

Ahh man, that red Wii is gorgeous, if I didn't already have one, I would be picking that up.It's also nice to see the Wii bundled with a real game for once.

@MERGATROYDER Black Ops will also be on the Wii so will another game that will probably sell based on Nostalgia Goldeneye 007.

Cool bundle. It's going to sell well for the holidays, but with Black Ops coming out on consoles that are selling better this fall, I see problems for Nintendo.

The red looks cool, but I wish it had a black stand. I almost like the black wii more, but it's hard to pass up the "essentially" free game!

The biggest news for me is the reasonable price of the new controller in comparison to what the remote with the add-on cost before.
