Mario anniversary bundles, Wii Remote Plus coming Nov. 7

The red wii looks sick i would have got that if already didnt have a wii but who knows i may get that and i dont have dsi xl so i have to wait and get this one on chirsmas or something i just have one question is this relesing in Canada or the U.S

@monson21502 This is a limited edition. Just like the PS3 MGS4 and the Halo Xboxs this sytem will only be here for the holidays. You won't be seeing them next year and this edition won't price drop.

red is my favorite color so there's no question I'll be getting this later.

That's pretty cool. I already have a Wii, but I could've gotten the DSi XL bundle if I didn't already have MKDS. :(

im gonna buy it when they are forced to drop the wii price to 99 bucks early next year. i know i wont play it that much. *like the wii i sold* but the that red wii is so damn pretty so i wont mind spending 100 bucks on it.

I love how they release new DSi stuff when kids will want the 3DS in the spring.

I might them just because its limited edition and Nintendo doesn't release limited edition consoles like the Sony with the PSP and Microsoft with the XBOX.

@Waldkrieger I am interested to know what type of games you are interested in? you claim that gimmicks are offered on the Wii, but those are some of the funniest games out (IMO). I have a ps3/pc/Wii, and aside from FPS clones, the Wii seems to be pretty solid in its core library. unless your interest in video games requires that they be mature rated or HD, then you are missing out on the point of a media genera all together. but i would be interested in your thoughts on why they are gimmicks, and what games you enjoy playing. I am not trying to start a argument for fanboys, you just sparked my interest, and I am curious on your thoughts of good games, maybe one i have avoided or not played and I will discover a previously missed gem ^_^

most of my flash games (wii browser) wont work anymore? Wish Nintendo would update the wii opera browser with a newer flash update?

@nintendoboy16 ; You can list games all day long that you like for the WIi, but none of them are of any interest to me. I like good games, not gimmicks. Nintendo died for me after the Gamecube.

It is about time that Nintendo of America announced the Wii and DSi bundles as its Japanese parent and European counterpart have already announced theirs. The red Wii color to commerate the 25th anniversary of Super Mario Bros. looks quite attractive than the usual white.

i want a dsi sooooooo bad but ill hold off until the 3ds is out.. only like till next spring thats not that far away

@Waldkrieger No games worth playing, huh? Then why does it have quite a bit of critically praised games like Tatsunoko vs Capcom, Call of Duty 4, Muramasa, No More Heroes (1 and 2), Mario Kart Wii, Red Steel 2, and SSBB? Also, a lot of people like these games. The Wii has good games. You just have to search for the right ones.

@monson21502 Nintendo running scared? lol. Do some research, look up the top selling video game and handheld systems. You will see that the Wii and the DS has outsold PS3 and XBOX 360 worldwide... and not by a small margin.

Wow, what a surprise. Sony and (very soon) Microsoft have taken away the only gimmick the Wii had going for it (motion control), so Nintendo resorts to its usual tactic - offering the same old thing in a different color.

I can honestly say that I Never thought I would see a Red Nintendo Wii console. LOL... It just not that common, and doesn't look good in many home entertainment setups. It sure will catch the eye of your friends and family who come over and visit I suppose. : )

Yea. i don't need a wii since i own one and the new super mario bros game for it.

I guess Nintendo is finally realizing that the non-gamer interest in dwindling, and they need to focus more on the core gamers who actually buy games after getting these bundles (I know very few non-gamers who have actually gone beyond anything besides Wii Sports, Resort and Wii Fit).

I sold my Wii a couple of years ago. I still wouldn't buy one again.

I look forward to purchasing a Wii I am debating Red or the Black to match with the PS3 and future 360 s. I guess I am the only person without a Wii. But I need that money for 3DS which is as much as a console.
