Medal of Honor awarded Battlefield 3 multiplayer beta

tempting, but i think ill stick with black ops

After playing the mp beta my interest in the game have turned 180 degrees. I'll get the game next year for cheaper whenever the battlefield 3 beta starts.

I played the MoH beta, was the worst pile of generic slag ever. Imagine Bad company 2, but with no destruction physics, small maps, weedy feeling guns, annoyingly stereotypical turban wearing terrorists and no vehicles and you get MoH. MP anyway, however if the modern day shooters of late are anything to go by the SP will be terrible too.

@ChillarPenguin - consoles run racers better than PCs most of the time. Beyond that, PCs blow consoles out of the water on RTS, MMO, and FPS. An Xbox 360 can't handle Crysis or World in Conflict. Or 200 player online games.

I like the idea. Was going to buy MOH anyway and am curious about BF3, but I am not forking out some valuable wonga on some virtual goodies in the limited edition that I can unlock by playing the standard game.

LoL... Lame mmo(world of warcract one of the best mmo) and shooter(half-life that can be modfied by anyone, and has the counter-strike that you'll see in any lan house). Come on man... How that can be Lame?

I'm so over this "gaming PCs cost $2000" nonsense. It is just some random number you ignorant console boys heard and now shout from the mountain top. Look I googled "build a gaming PC" and found a link to a website that gives me a specs and parts to buy for a $500 gaming PC that can run Crysis at 40 FPS(Frames per second). That took about 5 seconds of research on my own. Just because you are to ignorant and think Alienware is the only company that makes a gaming PC doesn't mean cheap gaming PCs don't exist. Its like girls who buy Gucci and Prada

I kinda get a chuckle from PC fanboys lol.. I never knew they were really in the mix.. Usually its a battle between ps3 and the 360 for developers. I think i like my $300 system.. rather than a $2000 system thats only good for a week when other parts come out for it that are better than the ones you have.

@ crabapple87 It's more than just controls and graphics and hardware. After a game gets released on PC, its life span is considerably longer if the community the correct tools. Look at starcraft, look at half-life, heck even look at the old battlefield games. The community has made some really spectacular mods for each of these games that keep the life span of the game going much longer than their console counter-parts and they're free! Much better than nickle and diming you like companies do for DLC on consoles. I could go on and on about why PC is better than console which may make people think I'm a fanboy, but I rarely ever play PC. Just click on my profile and look at the games I own and play. 95% are console games.

Yea after playing the beta it seems really close to bc2. Its almost exactly the same. I was kinda hoping for something more because I really enjoyed bc2. BC2 just needed more maps and I would probably be playing it more.

I will get severve thumbs down for saying this but here it goes. The MOH game doesnt look good from the multiplayer standpoint. The frostbite engine feels severly neutered and many people are saying that the MP feels like COD. Rather than making the multiplayer for MOH DICE should concentrate with the battlefield series right now. Best decision EA can now make from here on is to focus the game solely on the single player.

"Standard" $60 price tag, I'd have to agree. From car dealerships to video games, the standard is in fact to rip off the consumer.

@AStrikeEagleL15 that's exactly what i said MoH started as a WW2 fps then call of duty took over and now MoH response with a knock off of MW2. i was just saying that MoH should of made a WW2 game or anything but a modern warfare like game because with all the competition with black ops MW2 and BF2 there is no way it is going to sale vary good

@dancingsmurfs01 If you can remember Medal of Honor was one of the first WW2 FPS out. Then look what Call of Duty did...made a WW2 FPS. So looks like Medal of Honor is paying back the favor.

it seems like all the game companies are all coping MW2 and that's not a good thing, i mean MoH used to be about WW2 and now they are just trying to copy modern warfare. The reason the first modern warfare was so popular was because it was new and 1 of a kind, but now everyone is just coping them and none of these copies are anything new. Come on MoH come up with something new or stick to WW2

I am mostly a ps3 gamer but i do play some PC. I agree that for PC FPS games it is easier to aim with a mouse but i find movement easier with a controller.

I hate to say it, and I'm probably going to get thumbs down'd for this... but the new MoH is looking more and more average. This, Halo Reach, and COD:BO will all be hit or miss. Crysis 2 is the only game I'm 100% sure on right now.

They like their control system better. I gladly agree that the mouse is better than a Joystick. But I can't say that the arrow keys are better than another joystick.

I'm a nub, so forgive me for this question. Why is PC so much better than consoles? I do understand that PC is better graphically (even though god of war 3 - a ps3 exclusive - is arguably the best looking game to ever be released). But what makes the online better? Is it the number of players allowed in a match? Or that it lags less? Because MAG (another PS3 exclusive) can have 256 players in 1 match with no lag. So what is it?

@ madgame23 ???? So why dont you say COD is a medal of honor clone because it really sounds like you are judging them base on their similarities. MoH came first anyways.

i just bought battlefield bad company 2 lol take it easy...and then theres MOH and now BF3...*sigh*

seems like everyone complaining about BC2 and MOH is a MW2 scrub. its simple, people either like realistic shooters or an arcade game style. personally i think BC2 is miles ahead of MW2. after playing BC2, MW2 seems like a game for toddlers.

I was sent a little invite to play the "beta" via email from EA and decided to give it a try. I booted up my 360 and launched the MOH beta. Within seconds of spawning into a map I realized this is a piece of garbage and finished the match completely unimpressed. The map was similar to one I remember playing on the first Modern Warfare, accept not even as fun as that 4 or so year old game. Maybe on a jacked up PC this game might warrant more attention, but i cant see it being anything noteworhy. Honestly, it looked like a cheap hybrid of modern warfare and battlefield, without the strengths of either title, graphically or gameplay wise. Epic is trying something similar i think with their Bulletstorm fps. At first glance it seems these huge, albeit talented and creative companies, develop these little side projects to finance their bigger projects or just to keep cash flowing in, who knows. I love Battlefield 1 and especially 2, Modern warfare is OK but not great IMO, but this game blows and I wouldnt waste one red cent on it.

I never liked bad company 2. The elements of the game were such that it was totally unenjoyable. I preordered MOH and tried the beta, and it was an exact clone of BC2. Only difference was the maps and most of the equipment. Cloning a crappy game only makes another crappy game. I rescinded my preorder the next day. Halo Reach and COD Black Ops look to be way better.

What are they going to do with Bad Company after this anyways? They would seem to conflict with each other.

Why would they make it a PC exclusive? Bad Company 2 had awesome success. Besides, not everyone can afford a $2,000 rig...

I just hope BF3 is half as good as BF2, personally I think the latest MoH trailer looks pretty decent so I'll probably pick it up within the first 2 weeks, doesnt look spectacular, I think dice shot itself in the foot with this Demo disguised as a beta.

i love battlefield 2 but i thinkBF3 should rlease for consoles, too. Give pc gamers their masterpeice, and give the console gamers their dumbed down version. Win-win-win.

If Battlefield release on PC and Consoles then its uniqueness as an exclusive will completely be lost. Dont get me wrong but i play a lot on my Ps3 but when it comes to BF3 it should be a PC exclusive just like I played BF2,1942 and 2142 PC PLAYERS IF U WANT BF3 TO BE AN EXCLUSIVE AGREE WITH ME.LET THE PC GAMERS VOICE BE HEARD!!!!!!!

I played the beta and I feel like they just shrunk BC2 maps and put them in this game. MOH is almost identical to BC2.

I got the MOH beta and it was literally a knockoff of COD. dont buy it.

Coolyfett has never really played any of these war games or shooter games before, but he is looking for a secret agent type game for the PSP. He knows there is an old James Bond game for the PSP, but he wanted a newer type game. EA should be able to do a good job with this, they do a great job on the Madden games.

Who ever played the MoH beta knows that it plays nothing like BFBC2. LOOKS, well sure.

Battlefield 3 MP will probably be the same thing as Battlefield BC2 MP, which in turn is exaclty like MoH MP if you want it, pick one game and buy it, it's all the same stuff with fancy different names.

no more exclusive titles for PC until gamers star paying for games, finish with Piracy... I don't know how Blizzard are going to get money back from starcraft2... O now wait - I know - F^*king WoW!!!

Something tells me this title might no be so hot. Usually when publishers start throwing all this free stuff around it means they are trying to spice up a mediocre game. I hope that isn't the case with this game because I have been wanting this to be good since I saw the first trailers of it.
