PS3 in for a big September

How come Kotaku nips the Bioshock rumor directly in the bud by contacting Irrational and receiving a response almost immediately, yet Gamespot seems to let it stew for far to long. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It gets them more hits, as you see all the ps3 fanboys claiming that 360 is starting to lose exclusives even though several people have mentioned and provided a link to the original site where it states 2k contacted them and confirmed bioshocj is exclusive to 360 and games for windows. And gamespot will make another story about how 2k and irrational have confirmed its exclusive to ms platforms and will get more hits, which then adds up to better deals with advertising companys.

Shady i agree with u about 90%, if u read this recently with the release of Blue Dragon for 360 in Japan it sold systems well, i agree it stil isnt doing well in Japan but with More RPG's its getting much better. Blue Dragon sold 100,000 in Japan, which for Japan is very good.

Gotta at least try to compete with Halo 3.

Meh. Once/If they release some more interesting games than these (a new Ratchet & Clank? C'mon...try a little harder), I might get myself a PS3. Until then, I'm sticking with my Xbox 360 and NHL 07/Gears of War/Oblivion/GRAW/GRAW 2 etc.

kingpogo2000 360 fans still think that they going to win the nex gen war lol fools look at the japanese market and european market they suck in order to win the next gen war you gotta sell world wide not just america and second not all the other countrys likes first person shooters thats why the 360 is only going to do well in the american market becasue thats all yall like on the other hand ps3 markering is world wide not just america they target all different type of gamers not just first person shoorters gamers third 3rd party games are never ment to be exclusive because they can make it multi plat unless they sign a deal with the company like konami and mgs4 anyways think for a sec you guys are getting a break with a few games like gears of war call of duty too human what else oh halo 3 but look back at the list all where shooters right microsoft gotta start making good games like god of war games that will never be abailable for other system.. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is what i mean when i call fanboys ignorant and blinded by their foolish loyalty. Out of the 9 exclusive 360 titles i listed earlier 3 were first person shooters,1 was a racer,3 were rpgs,1 survivl horror and yes 1 god of war type game that is only available on that platform. I agree 360 has allot of first person shooters but thats not really a bad thing fps are the favoured online game, aslong as they keep releasing other genres the 360 will do well this gen im not saying i think they will win this console war but i do think its going to be very close between MS and sony this time around, and if sony fanboys think ms is just going to roll over and die like sega you know very little, ms goes into buisness to destroy the competition and thy wont stop spending money untill they are no.1 and lets face it they can afford to do so, sony have never had a competitor like microsoft which is going to make for some interesting console wars for years to come, which is great news for true gamers as we get to enjoy the great games on both platforms, and kind of bad news for the sony fanboys as if it wasnt for ms you wuld still have all there great franchises like gta,dmc the way i see it is you go were the games go i am loyal to games and to enjoy all the great games your going to need all consoles and so far and for this year the 360 has the best game portfolio. And as far as 360 only selling in north america, your wrong it sells very well in europe, and yes it sells very badly in japan, i think even if they had 25 great jrpgs coming this year it still wouldnt sell. Fanboys just need to open their eyes and they would find out they could have a much better game expierence if they had both the 360 and ps3.

@ kingpogo2000 --------------------- you deluded little man/ woman. i live in uk and work in game retail. ps3 had a massive first week purely because the few people that were gonna get the console all got it in the first week after all hat antecipation. now the sales have completly droped! infact the sales are so low that major uk retailers are dropping the ps3 price from £425 to £399 and are throwing in a free hdmi lead in order to shift the consoles. they are not selling like they did in the first week. my store has 22 sitting in the stock room and they have been there for over a week now. be cool man be cool

None of these games are tempting me to drop 600 on a PS3. Until there are better games I'm not (and a lot of other people) won't drop that kind of cash. Now if they said Tekken 6 was coming now I would care.

Until Irrational comes out and clearly states that Bioshock will never be released on the PS3 then I am assuming it is coming at some point in the future. Now, where the heck is Half-life Episode 2?!? Are the 360 and PS3 versions keeping those sloths at Valve from putting it out or what? What a debacle. Episodic gaming my arse!

shadystxxx: 360 also has Banjo Kazooie 3, Splinter Cell 5, Halo Wars... Not sure about other exclusives for the PS3, but multi-plat titles like Resi5, DMC4, Assassin's Creed, The Darkness, GTA, and Half-Life 2 should keep everyone satisfied.

I like how no one read the article. It clearly states that Sony reps pointed out that Lair is the only one to actually have a launch date. So everything else is rumors, and from the look of it fake rumors. An old PS2 game getting HD options and the X360 exclusive Bioshock? yea, I will have to see something more official than this.

i ahvent played any rachet & calnk games but I may try out this PS3 one. I hope that Heavenly Sword in on par with God of War. Yeah that is askign alot, but seeing as how there are no decent action/adventure games for PS3 yet, it would be great news if it turned out to be really something, at least fun enough to hold be over to GoW3, and DMC4. This whole end of 2007 should be good for Sony, as far as I know MGS4 is still ont he way, just finsihed MGS:PO which was decent, and sets you up nicely for MGS4. To bad the end of the year wont include the FFXIII's, but if they did holy **** I wouldn't know what to play first.

cell1138 I love MGS, but my friend doesn't (doesn't like stealth action). If Konami continues with the MGS:digital graphic novel you can always check that out (and I hear they are working on MGS2 now). Will the PS3 last until September? sim_dude_uk Halo 3 might be a killer to those games but thats only one game. While PS3 has MGS4, heavenly sword and so on to keep the PS3 user occupied. I think MGS4 will beat Halo 3 in story line but in multiplayer, Halo may be the winner on that one because thats all they are focusing it on. But MGS4 is also having multiplayer online. All 360 fans just rely on one game while PS3 fans just rely on more games. I agree that ps3 has some potentionaly great games coming this year. I very much doubt mgs4 will be out in 2007 but i hope it is. I doubt final fantasy is out this year either although i dont really care as i dont enjoy jrpg's. Lair looks good but i have seen little of it. Heavenly sword is a game i am looking forward too but again i know very little about it. warhawk is a game i am very excited about after seeing it in action on the 1up show. Killzone again i have seen nothing of it, a cgi trailer does not impress me, but i have faith that killzone will turn out to be a great game. And ratchet and clank, i am sort of excited about this as i read it had allot more platform elements to it this time around. so if you count them up thats 9 exclusive 360 games and 7 exclusive ps3 games which all have the potential to be great games. So i think both systems have a healthy number of great exclusive games coming.

I'll say this much that they are lying. Especially about killzone. If the game is ready by september all i can say is that it will definately won't be like what they had at E3. You all can argue complain call me fanboy or whatever it is you feel like calling me. They are lying, man. I'm getting use to there lies and dissapointments. Its depressing to make people have high hopes to just crush u like a bug in a second.
