PS3 in for a big September

If those games do not come out before sept, then they would have to wait until jan since GTA in oct, and halo 3 in nov will lead sales through the holiday season. sony either drops them all, unlikely; in sept or wait till 08. Liar should be out this summer which leaves a sept release for HS. Killzone I would be surprised if it is released before jan.

well i dont think people want to wait for september. i think they want those games right now, and so do i!!!! if they dont make good games soon, the xbox 360 will win this next gen war.

Have heard on a preview vid that Lair is HD only, which won't exactly help sales.

They need some quality games sooner here in the UK retailers have dropped the price by 25 pounds already and are including HDMi leads and Blu Ray movies for free just to shift stock.

Well, I wasn't planning on getting a PS3 until Heavenly Sword released. But with so little info on the game, looks like R&C might be the reason I get my PS3 instead. I hope the Sixaxis controller with rumble will be ready by then.

I'm only interested in Ratchet & Clank and Killzone, maybe Heavenly Sword. Finally, a reason to buy a Playstation 3(besides MGS 4 and Final Fantasy 13), although releasing all those games in one month is kind of weird, I mean, come on, this can't be exactly right, but who knows for sure. It looks like I want to get a PS3 since I already have an Xbox 360 and is also getting a Wii for Easter as well. Yeah, it looks like I'm getting all 3 consoles this year(probably).

so.......sony want ALL their best exclusive titles(bar MGS4 and FF13) to be released in september. that just sounds really dum, they wont have any more games left worth looking forward to to plus like some people have allready pointed out all those games in one month is just too much competition for themselves. i'm sure whoever is publishing those games won't let this happen, they better spread them out more evenly otherwise sony is just making it way too easy for microsoft.

Lair's coming out in july? Even though I don't have a ps3 yet :( , I still wanna see this game and it will probably be one of my first ps3 games when i get one. Other than that, I think sony made the right choice in having their heavy hitters come in september. halo 3 is gonna have some tough competition now.

if you take bioshock ms will make sony look bad by takeing ff13 and trust me is very very posible

They are trying to compete with halo 3 which will probably come out at that time. It won't make a difference. Anyone who wanted that game will still want it. Although the bioshock thing might catch some peoples eyes. Expect a lot of stupid flaming to go on in bioshock boards(especially the 360 one)

I doubt the publisher will release all these A-list titles in the same month as indicated. That's just silly. More likely there will be delays like all titles, and they will be spread out over the pre-holiday period. Sony needs to get these titles done right with a deep online feature set.

Big September, on Paper - But think back to last September, everyone at Sony thought (at this time of year last year) that the PSP will be on top of things, and a possibility of a worldwide end-of-year launch of the ps3 will make them a winner. BUT, Nintendo decided to unleash some surprises, which in turn flipped the industry on its back and gave it a belly fart! :P Then - you saw the whole "oh, now we have TILTY support" and all that stuff for E3 and all that... I don't think it will be a big september for the ps3, if Bluray is succeeding in the format wars, if HDTV's suddenly become a MUST HAVE, if HDMI cables in regular stores aren't £50 and Nintendo and MS have NO new games... then the ps3 has a chance! However, I don't think that Nintendo especially will let anything slip through like this. And when Microsoft want to get their game on, they do it really well. After all, possibly in the UK the elite 360 will be out around then, and who knows what will be on the horizon for the competition. I think the ps3 has to do a LOT more than just having bioshock!! I mean, what if its "home" service sucks? I wouldn't imagine september being very special then... The thing is - September is a time of year for impulse buying, and then comes the saving for christmas and all that. Chances are, people would of bought a ps3 if it was cheaper - but I think the price just is too high for that time of year. The average person needs to save that much cash (in one lump sum) over a matter of several months. If they blew £500 odd on just a console and a game - this would leave them with nothing for the christmas period... Ps3, imo, will do better over christmas. This is when people get new tv's and things to try out on them.

I think it makes sense. Capcom made DMC multiplatform so Irrational Games is making it even by giving the PS3 BioShock.

Yeah after that news about Halo3 aiming for September they're going to have to release some high profile games then. I just hope they don't force Guerilla to rush out Killzone again....

Meh, I was gonna get Bioshock on PC anyway, so no real big deal if it goes to PS3 or not.

If Bioshock hits PS3 i will be staying away from SW tonight haha.Anyway are there any new updates going on with Killzone?those guys have been quiet about that game as of late.
