Super Street Fighter IV confirmed for spring

I'm really praying that Capcom doesn't pull a Bungie on us, and suddenly reverse course and decide to charge full price. I probably won't pick this up if they do that.

Aphex the A.I. is too easy if they fix it they need to make it harder Seth had the same moves but they were so predictable it wasn't even funny just fight him and study what he does every start of round he'll probably shoot a Sonic Boom or dothe dhalsim arm thing so start by jumping and attacking then wait for him to spam his kick and counter attack anyways the game was way too easy on Master for me

Tekken is button pushers but not VF wargraymon

hope they fix the horrible a.i. broke 2 controllers over this game since seth likes to spm the same movie until he wins, onlines not much better with 90% of people playin a ken, ryu ,sagat spammers

I can't wait! I like getting milked on new games that are the same, but with a few additions. Why don't they just make it DLC!? What is this SS4 is becoming Madden now, where they bring you the same game every year, but add a few new things and an updated roster.

@enix ai on all fight games are easy, for me it's more like playing rock, paper, scissors, learn the characters moves, learn how to defend and counter and learn from the other guy how to take advantage of the fact that you know the counters.

Woo, probably $45 for 4 new characters in a game that still hasn't evolved at all since the 90s gameplay-wise and that looks like it's straight off a Dreamcast. Never gonna get why everyone loves this game, it's either be a super-addict and spend 4-5 hours learning moves, spam or get destroyed by the Easy AI. =/

I bet all the ones for (not against) the idea of buying a new disc won't be saying the same thing when the next SFIV comes out every 9 months containing a blistering *4 new characters*. All incompatible with previous versions of course.

At this day and age, it is unnecessary to make a stand-alone "Super Street Fighter". We have DLC now.

sean would be too young, i think, for IV since III suppose to be years after 2. age sakura,i want to see her in collage school uniform, i mean come on, Rock Howard was aged in the KoF/Fatal Fury games.

The people who are complaining don't seem to understand just how much is being included in SSF4. This isn't a map pack. There's going to be more content than just additional characters. Think of it like an expansion pack for a typical PC game, and you might get a better idea of what to expect. Recall that both Tekken 5 and VF5 got expansions. No doubt Tekken 6 will see an expansion, and Blazblue is already being revised.

Cool, especially if I get some sort of deal for already owning stretfighter 4 - all the more reason to keep it! Anyone else want to see more street Fighter 3 characters? I personally would like a a few new characters (already got one) and Alex and Sean from SF3 - they were both cool characters

YES!!! Street Fighter IV rocked this year! I even liked it more than KoF XII which is a rare occurrence me picking a Capcom game over SNK, considering how I'm a SNK 2D fighter nerd.

In this day and age where companies like Bethesda and Rockstar can release content for Fallout 3 and GTA4 that are large enough to be their own titles, why can't Capcom do the same for SF4? From what the article says, it doesn't appear to be an update large enough to warrant its own stand-alone release. New characters and combos? C'mon already. These companies that refuse to innovate, and use DLC merely as a way to patch games or update rosters and the like are totally holding the industry back from the true "next-gen" of gaming.

this is why i am a true gamer because i love playing games with super street fighter 4 coming out it more to discover new fighter on the game one more for the good guys

I was not expecting this. I don't know why, I should've seen it coming but for some reason I didn't. We'll probably have Super Street Fighter IV Turbo by the end of 2010.

Yeah, I have to admit it. I'm not too happy about this one. I didn't buy every SF Edition on PS2 and I highly doubt that I will now. If it was a DLC I would be all there for it. But I'm not really looking to buy this. Maybe used, and thats if I have something to trade in to take some more money off.

wow alot of SF fanboys here, but who cares if they rather buy this overpriced DLC pack then a full game such as modern warfare 2 or uncharted 2

seriously, way to many people are street fighter sheep, seriously, if they took say, Bioshock and 7months later they released "super bioshock now with 8 new splicer types!!" people would be ENRAGED but for some reason, cause its street fighter its okay. o_0

Good grief, the whining! They've already said this will be a reduced-price release, so why are people so obsessed with wanting it to be DLC? 8+ characters, new stages, music, endings, play mechanics and (rumoured) bonus stages would make for a massive DLC file that would just clog up your HD and take forever to download. Disc-based is fine for me, thanks very much. As for Capcom 'milking' SFIV or it being such a clever idea to wait for Super rather than getting the original, by Spring 2010 SFIV will be about a year old. It's no different in that respect to the latest Madden, FIFA or WWE SVR except that a bit more will have changed rather than just updating a player database and charing £40 for it. SFIV was well worth the asking price for the time I've played it.

Dee Jay's already been confirmed, just not officially. There's a Famitsu scan circulating that has images of him in action.

Crap....They shoud've made this a DLC instead...
