Xbox One launching in November for $500

Just preordered my PS4 and the sales reps told me hardly anyone is preordering the xbone. He said management wants him to explain to customers Microsofts policies on the xbone sorta like a disclaimer so they are not surprised when they realize what they need to do just to play a game. WOW!!

Number one topic on Amazon's Xbox One sales page: "MS reveals official rules for Xbox One. Get ready to be bent over". lol

A buddy of mine who works for Amazon just emailed me right after I placed my PS4 pre-orders and he said that PS4 pre-orders are "blowing up". He added, "Not seeing much activity on Xbox One pre-orders".

Obviously WAY too early to tell...but a post E3 bounce should be expected for both consoles in terms of immediate pre-order numbers. I'd be curious to see the total comparison numbers by the end of this week. :)

I have owned a 360 since launch. I have owned a PS3 for a couple of years now. The 360 gets more playtime simply because I find XBL easier to use and it makes easier to interact with people online.

However, I will not be buying a X1 because Sony this time got it right. It costs less, no DRM, region free and I like the exclusives shown so far. Very hard to say no to that right now. I don't favor a particular side but Sony clearly has won this round and by some margin.

Just out of curiosity, why are both new systems so ugly looking?

@mikeyblueyes @Tegorian Generally speaking, who do you know for less than 30 days that you plan on lending your stuff to?

That just sounds like a prescription for a lot of your stuff to go missing, hence why I no longer lend games to co-workers or people I am not close personal friends with for a relatively long time. Im just saying the whole 30 day issue is not really the biggest issue with Xbox One.

Why is this dead system the top news??? Is Microscam controlling Gamespot? How is a pos $500.00 DRM system better news than a $400.00 restriction free system?

$500 for a console where you don't really own the games you buy and that operates with always-on DRM. No thanks.

....expensive...will wait for a slim version with price reduction, but they will have to release more games that will make me want to buy the game and they will have to do something about their always online, used games, and 24 hr online check up

PLAYSTATION 4 for me! I dont trust xbox and what if in a few yours time they decide to turn off some online services for some games and I wont be able to play them, cause it's all in the clod now, spying on me every 24h! With NO drm in PS4 I will be able to play my disc games forever!

People buying the Xbox One you are only screwing yourselves and the rest of the consumers that love games. I had wanted an Xbox One but no way can I justify getting one with what MS plans to do in regards to used games. I pre-ordered a PS3. Do the same or ... buy an older console, buy a pc or whatever .. NO to Xbox One unless they change their tune in the coming days, weeks and months.

The PS4 doesn't include a Camera and MOVE.

So, the XBOX is cheaper!

aw what the heck, I'm getting all the next gen consoles, but I do like XONE better... and no Nintendo 'next' gen please (as i said I'd buy them all...)
