Xbox One, PS4, PC Getting 1080p Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition

They let the developers get the best out of the system they are developing for but outside of first party work I can't imagine it is worth the cost for any third party to develop an exclusive console game. This generation, though, the One and the PS4 are both almost identical as far as specs. The One has a cache of EDRAM instead of the PS4's use of all GDDR5, and the PS4 GPU has some compute cores that the One doesn't have, but they are essentially using the same parts, and those parts are themselves just lightly modified PC parts. So whereas last generation each console had its own unique hardware which were both different from standard PC hardware, now it is basically all one and the same so making something cross platform is easier than ever. And with the low prices of Unity and Unreal these days it isn't too costly for any developer to make a game that will easily work on all three platforms (and in Unity's case Mac, Linux, and Wii U as well).

@Zerox392 @mrmikehunt87 what's so specific about it?, PS3/360 have a huge install base already. not much more sales to be had from a relativley recent game

REmake on the other hand was a 10+ year old nintendo exclusive and alot of people who didnt have a PS3 got a PS4 this gen instead of MS's next console so they would of missed out on 'Last Of Us'

I did like Sleeping Dogs btw. it was one of the only games i got a platinum trophy for last gen, in this case i just wish they would work on a proper next gen sequel
