Xbox One, PS4, PC Getting 1080p Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition

I got this game when it was a game with gold. It was alright, but they cursed WAY too much. There is no need for it.

These re-releases on recent games are starting to get annoying. Rather than pumping out new AAA titiles, (which this generation is severely lacking right now) publishers resort to take the easy route and try dazzle you with high resolutions for games not even 2 years old.

Some games last year were so epic I can't/couldn't help be excited to pick them up again for my PS4 but SD, even tho I enjoyed it doesn't fall into that catagory. Seems many are cashing in on this.

I bought it on PC, been having the 'definitive edition' for months.

While I appreciate the need to fill the void until devs can get new games out, too many remasters have a good chance of further souring an already cynical view on the industry.

I got this for PS+ for free last year . why would i buy it know for my PS4? the only game im getting this year is WWE2K15, Destiny, DeepDown, Diablo 3, The Order, Maybe LBP3. other than that, I'm not interested.

Is that really gameplay or just a live action trailer? I can't tell what it is hahaha. If the X1 or PS4 versions look like that then I take back my previous comment and I'm in.

I would still love to see a Sleeping Dog game on the FFXV and KH3 engine.

Both Xbox Fans and PS fans can both agree that no one asked for this.

It would be amazing though for future sequels that Square Enix use the engine that they are using for FFXV and KH3. That could make future Sleeping Dog games a potential competitor against GTA.

The Definitive Edition looks amazingly realistic, like it's some sort of live action movie, suspiciously kinda like that fan film from a while back.

So tuned gameplay, shinier and grimier, a re-mastered update. If I already have the original game, do I get it as a free (re-mastered) update? At least a discount? No?

Also, it's weird how Square Enix adds this "Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft," every time they mention Xbox One in their press releases, like they have to or something.

if it´s not 60fps i rather just buy cheaper on old consoles.

I have Sleeping Dogs and all the DLCs on Steam. What Definitive Edition do for PC version?

Sleeping Dogs was a decent enough game, but it isn't the sort of game that needs to have a definitive edition made. I can understand when games like The Last of Us or Grand Theft Auto V get current gen versions, but not every game is worthy of being played again.

I enjoyed Sleeping Dogs on my PS3. I have no intention of getting it a second time, or even playing the current copy I have a second time.

This is not a game the needs a remaster. I get exclusives and great games being remastered but this game was nothing special. Plus most people already got this for free through either Games with Gold or PS Plus

It's funny they say it's 1080p but not what framerate it will run at..because we already know it will be 30.

Nice, I always wanted this game; but it kinda annoys me that half of the games being released for the new consoles are definitive, ultra, remastered, etc. of games that have just a few years, but well, I suppose this is better than nothing.

Implying the PC ever needed help achieving 1080p?

Easily one of the most underrated games of the last generation. I am really glad they are bringing it back with a fresh coat of paint with all the bells and whistles. For me this is a great get on PS4 (even though I already own the PC edition). I actually enjoyed the story of this more than I did GTAV.
