 *This is the biggest CE that I now own. I love the big old game boxes and this is by far the largest one I think I've even seen. Unfortunately it is incomplete. It only has the discs (in the proper holder) and the manual. The box, discs, and manual are all NM which is awesome. It is missing the shirt, the map mousepad, the poster, the artbook and the game soundtrack cd. It makes me sad but at the same time finding this (even incomplete) has made my month as NWN is one of my top ten games of all time! :lol:

I think this last batch of goodies brings my total over 1000 which is pretty cool. I think the next 1000 will take a bit more time.

I found this neat little thing at a local flea market. It is a Coleco Telstar Colortron. It seems to me to be nearly complete, only missing the plastic insert the console and hook-ups would have sat in when placed in the box. And after figuring out how to hook it up to a newer TV, it works 100%! I am very pleased and only paid $20:

Yeah $40 bucks is why I drove that far to pick it up. Seemed like a great way to start my Sega Saturn collection. Tried the games out and I must say I think I'll have some good fun with the SS. :)

Nice! I'm going to have to look into the Saturn one day... both the Saturn and Dreamcast passed right under my radar during their original lifespans: I was never too bothered about them back then.  I should rectify that.

Moving on to the latest acquisitions, I picked up one game in town today.

From CeX:

     Gladius (GC) - complete in good condition, £6

I know this game has been praised many times round here, so I decided to give my Gamecube some love for a change.

I also swung by the post office to pick up three parcels from eBay.

Lot 1:

     Master System Converter for Mega Drive - loose with manual, very good condition

     Mega Drive Game Genie - loose with manual, very good condition

     Quickshot Joystick - loose, good condition

I got this bundle all for £11, it worked out a bit cheaper than buying the Master System converter on its own for some reason.  The joystick is a standard Mega Drive pin-out but it was plugged into a Spectrum joystick interface: bonus! Especially since my current Speccy interface is a bit temperamental.

Lot 2:

     Ballz 3D (MD) - complete in very good condition

     DJ Boy (MD) (Japanese version) - complete in good condition

     Sonic & Knuckles (MD) - complete in good condition, small tear on the cardboard box though

     Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles: Tournament Fighters (MD) - complete and near mint

     Total Football (MD) - complete and near mint

All for £5.50.  Again, this worked out cheaper than Sonic & Knuckles on it's own would have cost me!  I love collecting for a new system, there are some great bundle deals available when you don't already own half the games :)

Finally, Lot 3:

     Asteroids (2600) - cart only in fair condition, label peeling a bit

     Circus Atari (2600) - cart only in very good condition

     Combat (2600) - complete in good condition

     Demon Attack (2600) - cart only in good condition

     Fire Fighter (2600) - cart only in good condition

     Pac-Man (2600) - complete in good condition, box a little squashed but nothing too severe

All nine games for £8.10.  Nothing spectacular, but now I've got my Atari working, I am free to go nuts and pick up as many games as I possibly can.  I can now also find out if the Pac-Man port really is as bad as they say...

Interesting garage sale day. 2nd stop was a yard sale of a guy who used to work for EA and now does programming for a new company that worked on Turok 3 (I forget what the name was - I'm so bad with names lol). Anyways, I was about 10 minutes late to the sale as he had just sold complete, boxed TG16, Saturn, Genesis, MS, and DC systems... I was so bummed :( . The good thing was that whoever bought those didn't notice the DC games and obviously passed on the PC games. He also told me that he had a ton of SS, TG16, and SG games that he sold to the same person. :evil:

The presentation is pretty good on the DSi XL. However, they could have done a better job at making the text sharper.

I did something yesterday I've never done before...I made not one, but two purchases through Craigslist. I must say, I'm not sure why I've never used it before as it was quite easy to get in contact with several different sellers and was able to even "haggle" over the phone before making a decision on if I wanted to even go meet them or not. I nearly made a deal for a PSP 1000 with 3 games and a car charger for $60. He wouldn't come down any lower than $70...it's not that I wouldn't have accepted that...it's just all I had yesterday was a total of $61, :P! A few other deals went like that as well.

But the two deals I did make through Craigslist:

Playstation 1 Console [the old phatty], all hook-ups, and 1 controller (was told there were 2 before I got there, but oh well). Clean and works just fine. $5 -I already have a perfectly fine working PS, but for $5, it's worth it to have an extra or even ebay the darn thing...pretty sure I'd get more than $5 :P!

X360 20gig HDD + 7' Ethernet cable - $25

The hard drive deal went down in a GameStop parking lot...so of course I had to go in. Didn't have much $ left, but I did decide to upgrade a couple of my PS2 GH games to my 360. $19 for all three. Also, these are all just the games as I already have most of the peripherals (I don't have a mic yet):

Got Blur and Dead to Rights for PS3 yesterday.

DtR is really fun so far, I really hope it does well because it deserves some sales. Its not the prettiest game, and the scenes with the main character aren't the most original, but its a very fun linear action game. The portions with the dog are lots of fun too, as the stealth elements are different than say, splinter cell or something. The fighting and gun play are much like uncharted. All in all I'd say its a solid 8 so far. Definately good for those who like these types of games, I've OD'd on sandbox for the past few years, its refreshing. 

Haven't played Blur. 

Cost me $50 for both because of Buy 1 Get 1 at a local store.
