[QUOTE="gakon5"]I saw this on eBay in its final minutes and somehow couldn't resist. Yoshi (NES) Yoshi's Cookie (NES) + 2 cart sleeves Price $11 or so. I've heard they're good games anyway.

I liked Yoshi well enough, but haven't played Yoshi's Cookie.  Around $5 apiece for NES is usually not a bad price.

Can you elaborate on the blue labels? I saw them in Camilla's $40 post and had never seen them before. Do you know how Sega picked which got the blue labels (was it like GH or did they initially have blue then changed to the maroon color)?

Okay, well got these on Ebay today. The following was $22.51 total (including shipping), all N64 NHL99, complete Virtual Pool, complete WCW/NWO Revenge, complete WWF Attitude, complete NFL Blitz, complete Turok: Dinosaur Hunter, complete and these, cart only: Turok 2 NBA In the Zone '98 And then for the Saturn, all complete, $48 total: Resident Evil Darius Gaiden Last Gladiators Pinball Sonic 3D Blast (a dupe for me). I'm looking forward to the Resident Evil and comparing it to the PS1 game -- I did not even know there was RE for Saturn until I saw this auction.

The blue label cartridges are a North American phenomenon only, as far as I know.  There are at least two games that came only in a blue label version: Alex Kidd in Shinobi World and Slap Shot.   Other games with blue labels, like the previously mentioned one or a few of mine (Rambo II, etc.) are simply more rare, according to the Digital Press than the maroon label variants.  It doesn't imply a Greatest Hit, and I'm uncertain as to whether they were the first 20,000 off the line or the last or anything else, just that there are a lot more maroon labeled SMS carts than there are blue ones.  I had at least 80 SMS games before I saw a blue one; my first was a surprise, and then I did some research into it.

The N64 games were a good deal, probably b/c there were a lot of sports titles in there, and the first two Saturn games are pretty good ones.  I can't say I'm a fan of any version of Sonic 3D Blast, even though I've got it on a couple of systems.

the N64 games was a decent bargin (the sports games are valued at about 0.99 each with NHL99 @ 5.00...) revenge is a great wrestling game, one of my all-time faves. the Turok games were your popularity money games and Virtual pool is your hard to find money game.

the saturn games are a good deal just because they are saturn games. also Rez Evil is a popular saturn game thus worth $, the rest are good and/or rare so well done.

may I have your extra S3DB?

Yeah on the N64 side, in fact for every console, I do not have a single wrestling game. None. So together with the Turoks (since found out one of them is complete), I was happy with that pick-up. On SB3D, it's open to trade, check out my wishlist or look for any obvious holes in my collection. (You'd think I'd be more grateful for you invting me into the union huh?)

Good deal. I just checked out your collection, you should do a post on the Fairchild system with some photo's. That's a system not a lot of people know much about.

I just took three more deliveries. The first was an EMS shipment containing:

Shining Force II, MegaDrive, n. mint, complete with map, $18 shipped

The second contained:

King of Fighters NeoWave, Atomiswave, with user manual, $75 shipped

and the third contained:

A Supergun board, two 6-button controllers, a power supply, a spare JAMMA harness and best of all, the PCB for the original Double Dragon, all for $62 shipped.

I'm going to have to do a little work on the Supergun, as this stuff is far from "plug and play", but I'm on my way to Arcade games at home. If I can rig this up handily, I'll post a how-to in this forum.

I'm not going to take receipt of this for about 2 months, but I'm so stoked I have to tell everyone about it.

NBA2K7, 360 Mint, Signed by Shaquille O'Neal - Free

Won in a gamespot giveaway.

Being from So. Cal., I am a huge Shaq fan, and have been a NBA2K player since the beginning, so this is a great pick-up from me. Gamespot just e-mailed me.  Maybe this is one sports game that will hold it's value.

sounds fair, can it be ANYTHING from your list? I'm already doing a ton of shopping and I've seen 1 or 2 of the things on your list hanging out round town, I could easily nab one...

the $100 is worth it for the system alone... now you have the huge fanboy game, a few popular games a kiddy yet fun game and a worthless sports game.

my questions are
1.did he have live?
2.the "other" games, what are they? and what are the chances of them being found?

Yessir, does not have to be of comparable value, I just like getting something in return.  But hang on until I update my wishlist today.  I have some things coming in that I need to remove from the list.

Here's what actually showed up:

-an Xbox with the top not sitting quite right
-two controllers
-Ghost Recon
-Rainbow Six 3
-Links 2004
-Madden 2004
-NFL Fever 2004
-Halo 2

I don't think he had XBL.  He's got two little girls and didn't spend much time with the thing.  Since the console has clearly been opened, I'm going to try to turn lemons into lemonade and get one of those snazzy blue cases and move the guts into it.  Either that or I'm going to have to try to put it back together correctly.  Ah well.  Not as good as I hoped.  But Baten Kaitos is waiting for me with a $10 price tag tomorrow morning, so I feel a little better!

Personally, I love taking things apart and putting them back together, so the lid being ajar doesn't sound too bad to me.  I've never disassembled an Xbox, but it sounds like fun.  If it's working, came with 2 controllers and some games,. then $100 is a good deal.  The games that you don't want will trade in somewhere to shave a little off of the net price of the deck, so I'd say it's win-win.

Hatris is one of those games that captures a moment in time perfectly. Now you have the temporary tats maybe you can intimidate even better prices out of the pawn stores.

Usually, my style is to charm, rather than browbeat. You can catch more flies with honey, yadda-yadda.

I took two deliveries today. The contents of them were:

Night Trap, 3DO, n. mint, complete, Trade to be named later
Futurama, Xbox, n. mint, complete, $19 shipped. I've found this one locally three times, and each time it's been battered and incomplete (and more than $19). I decided to stop screwing around and get it.

like I said, the XBOX one is hella-common, I'm loking for the PS2 one. the only time I ever saw it in person it was an ex-rental... no manual, faded case, half disk sticker and perminant marker writing (I could only fix the many scrathes it had, not the many other things...)

Hella-common is an overstatement.  It's not the JSRF pack-in disk we're talking about.  Now that's hella-common.  A search of eBay just found 8 of the PS2 version to 11 of the Xbox version up for auction.  Neither one of them is tough to find, really.  I just got tired of waiting for one to fall in my lap like I usually do.

I paid 15 bucks for mine at Kmart three months ago. :P A month later I got the Donkey Konga Jungle set for 28, Time Crisis 3 set for only 18 (comes with gun) and Anti Grav with camera set for 15 at the same Kmart. xD the camera cost 30 bucks brand new at any other store xD.

Mortal Kombat Deception
(sealed, but Eb games accidentally put it as used, so I got the used price!).
Star Wars Battlefront (Greatest hits sealed)
Tekken 5 m.
ICO m. with papers
Guilty gear Isuka (cover paper, disk, and instructions are mint, but game box plastic needs some cleaning.)
Capcom Classics Collection
(PS2 mint, yahoo! I wanted this game for so long first copy I've seen.)

Not bad for 83 bucks.

Yesterday I got (all sealed)
Tenchu (greatest hits) for 5 bucks
Tenchu 2( Greatest hits) for 5 bucks
Sonic X vol 1 (GBA video)
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles vol 1. (GBA Video)
the last two were for ten bucks each. I figured, why not, might as well nab a couple of these while I can.
30 bucks total.

Futurama, Xbox, n. mint, complete, $19 shipped. I've found this one locally three times, and each time it's been battered and incomplete (and more than $19). I decided to stop screwing around and get it.

gmsnpr
like I said, the XBOX one is hella-common, I'm loking for the PS2 one. the only time I ever saw it in person it was an ex-rental... no manual, faded case, half disk sticker and perminant marker writing (I could only fix the many scrathes it had, not the many other things...)

I re-phrase that. it's hella common around here... every GS and EB still have NEW copies of it for $20...

Quite the surprise, picked up Taiko Drum Master brand new, sealed for $29 after tax. (It comes with the drumcon). Played it for about an hour and a half, really fun.

aspro73

it goes for 30 new, not bad, it has the Katamari theme in it.
I paid 15 bucks for mine at Kmart three months ago. :P A month later I got the Donkey Konga Jungle set for 28, Time Crisis 3 set for only 18 (comes with gun) and Anti Grav with camera set for 15 at the same Kmart. xD the camera cost 30 bucks brand new at any other store xD.

Mortal Kombat Deception
(sealed, but Eb games accidentally put it as used, so I got the used price!).
Star Wars Battlefront (Greatest hits sealed)
Tekken 5 m.
ICO m. with papers
Guilty gear Isuka (cover paper, disk, and instructions are mint, but game box plastic needs some cleaning.)
Capcom Classics Collection
(PS2 mint, yahoo! I wanted this game for so long first copy I've seen.)

Not bad for 83 bucks.

Yesterday I got (all sealed)
Tenchu (greatest hits) for 5 bucks
Tenchu 2( Greatest hits) for 5 bucks
Sonic X vol 1 (GBA video)
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles vol 1. (GBA Video)
the last two were for ten bucks each. I figured, why not, might as well nab a couple of these while I can.

your Kmarts are better then mine... I was there last month and the Taicos and Eyetoy: antigravs are 30 each....

Our KMart was dead before I moved to town, though I've found some good stuff at KMart while traveling.  I picked up a couple of things today:

Magician, NES, v. fine, cartridge only, $9.95
Pipe Dream, NES, n. mint, cartridge only, $4.95

I also bought some tools and supplies for completing the Supergun.

I recently picked up:

Gun, Xbox, n. mint, complete, $7
Jak & Daxter, PS2 non GH, mint, complete, $10

and took some deliveries.  The first was a copy of Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 on Dreamcast that is going back to the seller.  It was advertised as mint and complete, but though it plays fine so far, it has pinprick holes through the data in 4 places and the "instruction book" is just the outer cover.  The guy was apologetic and claims it was an honest misake, but I'm getting a full refund plus shipping, regardless.  The second was the arcade PCB for Shinobi.  It's a System 16 board, and it was sold as-is, but I only paid $16.50 after shipping for it.

I found a few good deals today.

Battletoads, NES, v. fine, cart only, $5
Contra III: Alien Wars, SNES, v. fine, cart only, $5
Super Bomberman 2, SNES, fine, cart only, $5
Baten Kaitos, GC, new/sealed, $14.88
Donkey Konga 2, GC, new/sealed, $19.82

and I took delivery of more Supergun stuff, namely a manufactured Supergun from MAS Systems and the PCB for Street Fighter II' Championship Edition. I plan on using this one to test boards while I finish mine. Double Dragon and SF2CE both work fine, but the Shinobi PCB has some issues. The MAS Systems model, while pretty nice, is a little battered and lacks some of the features that I'm building into my custom one. More on that later.

Winners Don't Use Drugs. I had forgotten about that screen...

Battletoads is a very good game for the NES. Baten Kaitos is awesome (I'm told). DKonga2 is selling for $14 at Fry's as the regular price (sans bongos). How much are those PCB's setting you back?
