DKonga2 is selling for $14 at Fry's as the regular price (sans bongos). How much are those PCB's setting you back?aspro73

This DK2 was the pack with the drums and I'd still like to pick up Jungle Beat. The Shinobi board was $16.50 shipped, the Double Dragon board came as a package deal with the Supergun parts that I bought for $62 shipped. The Street Fighter 2CE PCB came in a package deal with the SuperNova, which altogether cost $252 shipped, with 2 controllers and the Supergun. I will post some pictures in the next few days of all these things (plus what I've got coming soon).

I usually buy 2 games a month, but my last classic acquisition was Syndicate for the SNES.  I paid $60 CDN for it, which was less than what I would have paid on EBay after exchange and shipping charges.  In terms of my SNES collection, I'm not really buying up much anymore, because they only game I'm looking for is Dragonview, which is apparently even rarer than Syndicate.

I have never even seen a Compusa store. Not one in Baltimore. I don't even know what one is like.

After paying some bills, I went to the EB Games store in the mall.

I picked up:
XII (PS2), sealed, new $9.99
P.N.03 (GCN), used, complete, practically new $4.99
Monster Hunter (PS2), used, complete, practically new $19.99
Donkey Konga (GCN), used, complete, practically new $14.99
Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition (PS2), sealed, new $19.99
Metroid Prime (GCN), complete, excellent condition $6.99

Used extra 10 percent discount card too :p

I forgot to bring in my extra 10 percent coupon though. I'll use it next pay check :p

I've been looking everywhere for Monster Hunter for the PS2, and I finally found a copy. An excellent copy too! I've been getting a lot of online games for the PS2 lately as well. I might preorder a Wii (EB games might take preorders next week).

Waffle will hate to hear this, but I find the EB / Gamestops to be full to the gills of XBOX and PS2 games that they are basically giving away because people are bringing them in as trade-in for 360's. Too bad I bought most of them full-price already.

P.N.03 is a game that is big on style.  I liked it, too, but I can see why it might not appeal to everyone.  Did you manage to get some of the more interesting combat suits for Vanessa?  The last one is basically a black bikini with guns.

I was out birthday shopping for my great grandmother (she's turning 98!) I was at a local small foods market (Roxies) and realized I was quite close to the good will store so I poped in. I found a large number of empty genesis cases and empty PS1 cases.. luckily not everything was empty and not everything had cases. here is what I got I took everything out to show exactly what I baught. the total was $20.01and if you look at the 1 disc in the bunch you'll notice it's X-COM: UFO Defence(PC)! there are still a few genesis game boxes left but I didn't feel like shelling out more money... (yes, that's the special championn edition of street fighter... box only...) when trying to test these for functionality; I couldn't boot my gen II up on any of my TVs (the one I usually have it on is being borrowed) so I pulled out my Gen I out of my Sega CD, and then had to remove a UHF plug from my INTV 3 and a UHF-VHF connector box from my 2600 and find my other Gen I to use it's power cord... they all worked.

Well, my obsession with Arcade-at-Home continues. Here are some photos of what my latest delivery contained: a full kit for Ranger Mission on the Atomiswave. The contents are listed here, but here is a
shot of the contents, with one of the 27" shotguns unwrapped, the motherboard and ROM and the connector side of the motherboard. I've found this kit online with a list price as high as $2200 USD, but I got this one for $319 shipped. It is brand new with matching serials. I haven't installed the gun sub board yet, so I can only watch Ranger Mission play itself, but I did play some KOF NeoWave tonight, and it's pretty good without load time, although the "3 and 3" button layout on the stick makes it unwieldy for the 5-button Atomiswave layout. Here's a shot of the Supergun with SF2 mounted.

I noticed thta lately, a lot of good and rare t semi rare ps2 titles are coming into EB games/Gamestop stores. Be on the look out. Also, for the stores in my area, GCN titles are getting picked clean. Not many are coming in (because of the WII), and people been buying a lot of them. Hence why I sucked up that excellent copy of Donkey Konga while I could. Chances are I might not see another copy for a very long time.

I'm going to the store today to use my extra ten percent off coupon.  :P Expect me to post here later today. =P

Also, never trade in a bunch of games for any system.  You'll always end up regretting it >>

Thanks for the photo's.  That's crazy stuff.  Seeing the complete Ranger Mission set like that gives one a feeling of what it must have been like being an arcade owner back in the old days.  You think ultimately this is going to end up in a home made cabinet

Nope.  I like the guts, but not the skin.  Plus, my TV is way too big to be part of a cabinet like that.  I like superguns or consolized arcade boards, but I wouldn't take my consoles and convert them into arcade cabinets, which is what I understand that thing to be.  It's a cool idea, but it's not for me.  If I found a 6-slot MVS in good condition for a good price, I might go for that, but probably not.

Also, last night I bought:

Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat w/ bongos, GC, new/sealed, $19.99, so I've got all of the bongo games and 4 sets of drums.  Yay.

Hmmm.. Well for all the great posts about Compusa, I went over there today and got nothing. They had nothing but regular prices, and not a great selection. I did however get the following from Circuit City and Best Buy:
Gun, XB New $8.96
Unreal 2, XB New $4.99 Crap!  I just went to add it to my collectin and I already have it.  I bought it like 1 month ago.

I went to another store and they were selling Gun for $39 -- just utterly clueless.

*EDIT* Circuit City had a lot of games for under $12, but I already have them, I had not been there for a while, so it was a pleasant surprise.

Lol, I decided to stay home so I'll use my coupon another day.

Lol, few people know how good Circuit City is on games. The one near me has loads of games regularly on discount.

Get this, a few months back I found:

Sega Classics Collection
Silent hill 4: The room
FX GP Legend
Pac N' Roll
Metroid Prime Pinball
Polarium

That's what I remembered off hand. Aside from Sega Classics, those other games you can't even buy used for that price. xD

I'm sold on Circuit City...that's where I got Project Gotham Racing 2, Sid Meier's Pirates, Thief: Deadly Shadows and True Crime: New York City, all for under $10 apiece.  I try to make the 45 mile drive to the one nearest me at least once a month.

I've got all but 'A'...you're probably going to have to hit ebay to find 2, 4, and 5.  1 and 3 are fairly common.

[QUOTE="gmsnpr"]I found a couple of PS1 games last night.
Silent Hill (original ), PS1, n. mint, complete, $18 (a nice double)
Namco Museum Volume 1, PS1, v. fine, complete, $18, now I just need A-M-C-O

jollyroger78

I've got all but 'A'...you're probably going to have to hit ebay to find 2, 4, and 5. 1 and 3 are fairly common.

I think that you're right. I've found 3 as a Greatest Hits a couple of times, but never the others.

Even though they're rare, you can get them relatively cheaply if you do it right.  I got Volume 5 for $3, shipping included off of ebay.  Volume 4 set me back $25, but that was still less than I was prepared to pay for it.

[QUOTE="jollyroger78"][QUOTE="GAMECAMILLER"]Lol, I decided to stay home so I'll use my coupon another day.

Lol, few people know how good Circuit City is on games. The one near me has loads of games regularly on discount.

Get this, a few months back I found:

Sega Classics Collection
Silent hill 4: The room
FX GP Legend
Pac N' Roll
Metroid Prime Pinball
Polarium

That's what I remembered off hand. Aside from Sega Classics, those other games you can't even buy used for that price. xD
waflerevolution

I'm sold on Circuit City...that's where I got Project Gotham Racing 2, Sid Meier's Pirates, Thief: Deadly Shadows and True Crime: New York City, all for under $10 apiece. I try to make the 45 mile drive to the one nearest me at least once a month.

even used pirates gets near 30 bucks...

45 minute drive, ouch. Good thing gas has gotten cheaper =P

Sad but true...the only places to get games around where I live are Sears, Sam Goody, Wal-Mart, and pawn shops if I want to get used stuff. So, quite often, I jump on I-57 and head north 50 miles to Champaign where they have Circuit City and Best Buy, a decent used store or two, and a much larger mall.

As for not driving much, around here, you have to.  Champaign is the nearest city to me with more than 50,000 people in it.  Other than that, there's lots and lots of corn.  No public transportation to speak of.  You drive, or your world is limited.  If I lived in a larger city, I probably wouldn't drive either.

I almost picked up a copy of True Pinball on the PS1, but when I got a look at it, it was overpriced and water damaged, so I went with:

Star Fighter, PS1, n. mint, complete, $7.95, instead.

Boktai - $10.50. I also picked up faxanadu and chrysalis for $3 a pop.

Debating whether or not to shell out $50 for devil summoner next week since I hate hunting down atlus games. Probably not.

First of all -- great screen name!  Second of all, congrats, now the Sun is in your hands.

Speaking for me, I'd be giggling like a schoolgirl for the opportunity to shell out $50 for Devil Summoner.

I had a nice pawn shop trip today. First, some backstory. A pawn shop in my town put out about 18 boxed, very nice condition N64 games a month ago. I bought a few here and there, but they knew what they had and had marked most of the games at $10-15, with the exception of Killer Instinct Gold at $29.95. I heard from some of the other collectors in town about this collection a week ago (though I'd discovered them first) and how they could not get the shop to come down on the KI Gold price. Well, I went back today and bought the following:

1. Killer Instinct Gold, N64, mint, complete
2. Nightmare Creatures, N64, mint, complete
3. Star Wars Episode 1 Racer, v. fine, complete (some box crush damage)
4. Mario Kart 64, n. mint, cart only
and in a weird twist of fate,
5. Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo, PS1, mint, complete...all for $40 plus tax ($43).

I've already traded in the Mario Kart for $9, so that cuts the net outlay to $34 for the remainder. The KI Gold and Puzzle Fighter would have traded in for $28, and $25, respectively, but I kept everything but Mario Kart 64. Also, the guy that took the trade was the same one who complained about not being able to haggle successfully. Sometimes I think I should give lessons.

The last time I turned down an Atlus game (Super Army War) at retail was the last time I ever saw said game, and I'd like to have that moment to do over again.  Although, the Megaten games seen to be getting a following these days, so print runs might be on the rise.

atlus has been picking up quite a few series... I'm thinking half and half... some taking large print runs some getting small... I got Super Army Wars for $5.26 on EBgames.com before the GS(B&N) buyout. at the time, I wasn't aware it was an atlus title. the game is awesome. to thing an RTS of the GBA could be awesome...

I found that Atlus sells it in their online store for $19.99, so all is not lost; that was a good buy for you though, damn.

I grabbed up a couple of games today:

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade Game, NES, v. fine, cart only, $5
Kirby Super Star, SNES, n. mint, cart only, $5 (proto Mario Party?)
Kirby's Avalanche, SNES, v. fine, cart only, $5 (Puyo Pop-like)
Kirby's Dream Land 3, SNES, n. mint, cart only, $5
Super Godzilla, SNES, v. fine, cart only, $2
Aqua Aqua, PS2, v. fine, complete, $10 (according to some this is getting scarce).

1. I do love them lemmings games... that's not a common one either... none of them are... 2. I just learned ab00t it, I find it fun. 3. "building" is what I do best, I have a closet FULL of manuals, spines, boxes, inserts, ct. for games most I don't own, some I do... it helps trades sometimes... finding a cart or disc only cheap, giving it a box, manual inserts.... 4. why? last I checked those weren't rare anymore... 5. chea it is... that's why I baught it cart only... 6. that was the sad truth ab00t why I baught it... I hadn't heard of a Draconus game since... I dunno, 1987 or 88... 7. I wouldn't have shelled out $30 on a not rare game... it's quite awesome too... agetech/SNK collabs are sick! 8. Domo 9. thanks. I sure did... I won't be doing the busy day thing again for a while...
