Oh hells yes. I still remember being blown away by that part when I first played it, especially the boss battle. I went to call my mom and she gave me one of those indifferent "That's nice, hun". :P

I was cheap and used a phoenix down on the boss battle to end it at the first turn. >.>
Well, it was a pretty...wierd boss battle. At one moment you're standing on the train and then it talks to you, and the next moment you're battling the train from on the tracks in front of it, even though it's still moving at full speed, while it is throwing wheels at you somehow. Now that is way too unrealistic, even for a game like "Final Fantasy". >.> So I didn't even want to bother.

It IS called the Phantom train, and it's just common knowledge that in almost all FF games, healing magic and items hurt undead enemies.

Did what, kill a boss in one hit ? I know there are ways to skip or weaken a boss, but Phantom Train is the only one I know of that you can kill instantaneously.

I remember killing him with a phoenix down, but maybe that's just in the DS remake, and I've never made it past the first Garland battle in FF I so I wouldn't know about that one.

Theres a skeleton boss in the wintery wasteland that's an illusion on your way to esthar, who is the undead in FF8. There's also one in FF10 when you're underwater in the via purifico in bevelle

Brilliant part. The opera house as well. that is my favorite FF scene ever.

And just to tell you guys, I just beat FF VI. It. Was. Freakin'. Epic. I LOVED the last battle. Totally replaces Kuja as the best last battle ever. Now, I know what you guys are thinking: "How the hairy balls did you beat the game already?!" Well, my answer: This game is addicting, I played it like crazy. Also, I didn't do any of the optional things and I ran away from most random battles, sure, it made it hella hard, but I just wanted to get on with the totally awesome story.

I just don't see it. It was nothing but an opera scene to me, and usually I was more worried about remembering the stupid lines than appreciating the play.
