hell no it isn't football for americans is the best, the only reason people say it idn't as rough as rugby is because they do not use pads, 350lb. linebackers hurt alot more without pads
no i say its not as rough sa rugby from the experience of being hit playing rugby as a forward versus the experience of being hit playing football as a lineman. In addition to be honest i don't think there are any 350 lbs linebacker anywhere they tend to range around 240-280lbs. Which is the size of most rugby forwards (of which there are 8) also the backs for rugby tend to weigh around 200-220 and hit just as hard. AS for pads yes without pads football would hurt a lot more, and it also wouldn't be possible as you wouldn't be able to have linemen who could take that abuse, but overall rugby is a faster paced, harder hitting game. we have a saying on my rugby team that might make it clearer to you, it goes "Bleed with me, or bleed for me"
i play football (as in soccer), rugby, track and field events, basket ball, cricket, tennis, badminton, as well as going swimming and playing other sports now and then...

Fine, fine...let's see.....basketball, football(american), football(everywhere else), tennis, golf, track, baseball, and that's it though I've decided to not play football(american) and baseball for the school this year...just didn't want to:P
