Definitely FF6/FF3-US.  Greatest game, too, in my opinion.  (Though the rest have not disappointed)

Mine was FF7...It was secondhand though originally it was my brothers because i was like 7 or something then he just gave it to me because I keep sneaking behind his back playing it, when he like turned on the ps1 he would be in a totally different place..XD good times...

Well when I was little we didn't buy games we just played the ones we had. So my very first FF game was FF8 and since then I've been hooked on FF.

The first FF game I ever played was FF8 for the Playstation.  In the end I traded one of my other PS games with one of my friends to get my hands on FF7 and I have never regretted it.

I borrowed Final Fantasy 9 from my friend and got hooked on the franchise. I regret not beating it, because FF6 to FF9 were probably the best in the series.

Final Fantasy 7 back in 1997.  Wow, it was...awesome....

Then later on I played Final Fantasy 8 with low expectations.  Then it turned out to be my favorite in the series.

My first time was with FFIX lawl but then I played FFVII I tried VII, X, XI, XII and didn't get into them as much as the others for some reason although I plan to pick up XII I only played it once the others I like half beat

Well, my first final fantasy was FF2 (japanese version FF4) and it was the first I've ended. Then I became addicted to the final fantasy series.... I've played final fantasy origins (FF1, FF2, FF3), Final fantasy Chronicles (FF4 and Chrono Trigger), Final fantasy anthology (FF5, FF6), FF7, FF8, FF9, FFX, FFX-2, FFXII and FFVII Dirge of cerberus, and ended all of them.... I love the RPG's, especially as you can see, the final fantasy series... what more can i say?

I played first to Chrono Trigger, but if we have to talk of the first FF, mine is FFX( I would to say that I play a lot of this game).

My first Final Fantasy was Final Fantasy VII, and it remains my favorite to this day. I owe my love of video games to FFVII. I bought the game when i was in third grade with absolutely no knowledge of what it was about or what kind of game it would be. I was just looking for a cool game to play on my relatively new Playstation. Little did I know the effect it would have on me for years to come.

4th grade, FF7. I'll never forget my first time playing it. Played for 3 hours and got to the part with Aeris in the slums and you have to get her back. Fought the HellHouse monster and it transformed and raped me. I died, and didn't know what a memory card was at the time so I lost EVERYTHING... Good times, good times.

Thefirst FF I have played and beaten was VII, and VII was the game that got me into the FF series, and is also one of my favorites for the nolstalgia I get from playing it.

My first was X but i had played VII, VIII and IX before then. Ijumped aboard the N64 and didnt buy a PS1 only experienced FF at my friends house (who was quite a bit older) and now im older im hooked and hope tooownthem all before the end of the year. Only got 4 games left to go!!!

Well... I was like 6 so lemme think... oh yeah i played FF8 then i got past the 1st disc but because i was so young i kinda broke it :P and then i played FF7 which was a bit easy, being 6 and all. Then i played FF9 which was harder than 7 , and then i got FF7 again which i done a bit quick too... the only FF that took a bit of time was 4 and 6 was more fun then any of them but not necessarily my favourite...
