I played Final Fantasy III in the NES, not the "fake" Final Fantasy III of the SNES. I don't know what went to the mind of Square calling FF6 as FF3 in the US, when FF3 in the NES is already existing then.Fantasy_GamerWhey they put out FFIV in the states, II and III didn't exist here. To avoid qquestions at the time, they called the US version of FFIV FFII, Same thing does with FFVI when they skipped releasing V in the states
I know it's history, but I don't think confusion could have happened. Square released Chocobo's Dungeon 2 in the US without releasing the first Chocobo Fuushigi no Dungeon game in the PS1. Some Dragon Quest games were not released in the US as well... 5 and 6, among others, but Square released Dragon Warrior 7 and Dragon Warrior 8 in the PS1 and PS2, respectively, skipping the the 5th and 6th game (if we follow the reason that confusion might happen). Well, it's their style. I really don't mind their way of titling games... I'm just tired of explaining myself whenever I say that my first FF is Finla Fantasy III in the NES and then, some guys will tell me, "Hey! FF3 was not released in the NES! It's in SNES, which is actually FF6". Guys, I know what I'm saying. But of course, no offense to anyone. I understand you did not have the chance to play the original NES version of the game.
Square did not release Dragon Qarrior 7. Enix did. Think what you want. What I said is true.I know it's history, but I don't think confusion could have happened. ^An error on my part. Yeah. Dragon Warrior 7 was released by Enix. Given as it is, As Square Enix, Square decided to continue naming the English DQ games following the regular numbering even though the other ***-only DQ games were not released in the US. I really don't think there should have been a confusion if Square released FF4 and FF6 in the SNES with the same title, rather than naming it FF2 and FF3. I know deep in their minds they realized it's just a bad idea.Fantasy_GamerDon't beliegve me if you don't want to, but I am right.
i thout my first one was FVII but apparently my DAD of all ppl played FFII(American, even tho i'm frm britain), and he said i had a go at it but was rubbish lol...A_Fading_ScreamBLASPHAMER!!!!!
