Seeing as the Gamecube is out of production, they would want to get rid of all the Gamecubes they could, so yes, they would want you to buy them.Cube_of_MooN
Apparently Nintendo still produces Gamecubes.
(See, Nintendogamer, I can read minds. )
Even if they are still making GCs, they would obviously want people to buy them... why else would they keep making them then? :|

I guess I should have stressed gamespot and not the internet. The internet will always have things but mainstream used games stores are what keep a console alive.

They are no longer manufactured by Nintendo.
Nope, Nintendo still manufactures all of the Mario sports games for GC except for Golf.

Really? That's actually funny because Golf was the only one I've found, lol. Well I can't seem to find them new. I guess this has to do more with the stores than with Nintendo. They barely carry any GC games any more.

but I think wait a year sell the cube (unless your attached to your /GB player like me) and buy a Wii.
so the gc ISNT dead?
Not yet. It's lifespan will end sometime in the beginning of 2008. Until then, though, the GC's alive.
Gamecube in my opinion was the best sixth generation consle. everyone bought PS2 because of GTA and the sports games (which every year is the same garbage as last year but people still buy it) but look at it what games were great on PS2 that were exclusives?

Had tons of great exclusive games, besides the sports games thats whytons of people bought itlast gen (and are still buying it). Theres no denying that PS2 had alot of great exclusive titles (more then the gamecube). But there is also no denying that the gamecube had some absolutely excellent exclusive titles too. Plus some of the great games like viewtiful joe and resident evil 4 came out on the cube first.

Saying those are the only good PS2 exclusives is like saying SSBM, Metroid Prime, and Zelda WW/TP are the only good GC exclusives.
yea but ps2 graphics are like upgraded dreamcast graphics (many of the dreamcast games were ps1 ports, which is why they sucked so bad). I mean the movement and details are nice but the graphics suck (very pixelated, bad framerates). I guess you could say
ps, n64, dreamcast, ps2, gc, xbox1, 360, ps3. In that order. I think the best looking ps2 games are like the mediocre GC games. Plus the terrible Ps2 framerates in some of their nicer looking games.

You can stop lying. The PS2 was a generation ahead of Dreamcast in terms of hardware and not too far from the Cube. You obviously have never played God War 1 +2 which look better than most GC games.
Graphics don't matter. The PS1 won its generation, PS2 won its generation, and the Wii is on pace to win the current gen. All were the weakest systems graphically. Games matter, not hardware.
You're a joker. The ps2 may have won with all it's crappy titles. I'm not arguing and you just admit that the consoles with the worst graphics lose... I own 2 ps2's, 3 Dreamcasts, 4 GC, 1 xbox, 3 GBA's and a PS3. So don't tell me I'm bias. I speak the truth, judging from all, don't even start talking that the PS2 is near the GC because it is not. Look at the facts, a 300mhz vs. 485, with enourmous texture processing capabilites??? Yes I have GoW and it's 'alright' but cannot be compared GC/Xbox in general. Most PS2 games dont' even deserve to be near the GC, Xbox. I own many titles that are cross platform and it's obvious (soul calibur 2, dead to rights, RE4, MKDA, SSX3/ontour and so many others) that PS2 has the most washed out textures, worst framerates, worst lighting and loading times. Just ask yourself, If GOW was on GC and Xbox it would kick more ass.
Graphics don't matter to those who aren't artistically inclined. I need my eye candy to be satisfied. It's something that has to be satisfied in the brain of creative people.
You say that all these consoles are 'winning'? How do you figure that? By sales??? HAH, anyone with a Wii would throw it away if they were given a free PS3 or could afford one from the getgo. Fact is, money is the issue and that's why Wii is leading. It's simply more affordable but in no way a better gameplay experience.
You're a joker. The ps2 may have won with all it's crappy titles.
The PS2 has one of the best software lineups of all time and tons of amazing 3rd party titles. PS2 had the best selection of games for all types of gamers.
I'm not arguing and you just admit that the consoles with the worst graphics lose...
What? PS2 is the most successful system of all time.
I own 2 ps2's, 3 Dreamcasts, 4 GC, 1 xbox, 3 GBA's and a PS3
What a pointless waste of money...

The PS2 is weaker graphically, but it is still close to the GC. The GC is further from the Xbox than the PS2 is from the GC.
Graphics don't matter to those who aren't artistically inclined. I need my eye candy to be satisfied. It's something that has to be satisfied in the brain of creative people.
Go play your graphics, I'll play my games. Graphics enhance games but don't make them.
You say that all these consoles are 'winning'? How do you figure that? By sales???
Of course. That's what defines the winner of a console generation. They (PS2/PS1) also had the best support and most wide variety of games for all types of gamers. The most casual and diversesystem will always win.
HAH, anyone with a Wii would throw it away if they were given a free PS3 or could afford one from the getgo.
Nope, you're wrong. I could have bought a PS3, had the money, and almost did. But I bought the Wii because I liked it better and it had better games. I will buy the 360/PS3 eventually though.
ok by lose, I meant win. The GC is right in b/w the Wii. Speaking of xbox, the wii is probably comparable to it in which case, doesn't deserve to be in the next gen. I didn't waste money. I sold these items and decided to keep a few for collectors purposes. Some of my GC are limited deals bundled with things that I might sell down the road. Same with PS2.
The PS2 game collection score on average is a 5-7 vs. GC 7-9. Ever heard of quality over quantity? I gauge you own a ps2 with many games and a wii, so you take sides on both. I'm just stating facts.
The GC is definately closer to xbox than a ps2. Sales don't determine the winner. Game reviews determine the winner. Technical advancement determines the winner. Just because you had money for a ps3. If the ps3 was the same price as the Wii, nobody would buy the wii, including you. Don't lie about it. BS that you thought the Wii has good games, it doesn't. MP3 and SSBB aren't a reason to buy a console. Wii=overclocked GC, with silly peripherals. When you buy the ps3 your Wii will collect dust. You will see how lame it is when you get into a game like UT3 or something.

PS2 still wins.
If the ps3 was the same price as the Wii, nobody would buy the wii, including you.
If the PS3 was the same price it wouldn't be the same system. The system already costs close to a $1000 to make. Selling at $250 isn't possible unless they severly stripped down the system.

Actually they are and that is just scratching the surface of its games.

You're wrong. I play games based on their gameplay not graphics. I can play UT3 on my PC, why would Iwant to play iton consoles? PS3 barely has any exclusives. 360 has almost all its games and more. Unless the PS3 gets more games I'm buying a 360. It has way better games and is much cheaper.

You know, for what it's worth, I've had the chance to try out both a Wii and PS3 extensively... and both were decidedly "meh". PS3 was just the same old thing with a fresh coat of paint, and the Wii was the same thing without the coat of paint and with waving your arms around... but I digress.
And here's the thing with the whole GC vs. PS2 debate - everybody has a different preference. I personally would take a GC over a PS2 any day. It's just that the PS2 appealed to more people from more demographics - to me that means the PS2 "won".

Anyone would agree that the ps2 doesn't have more quality games. So you are a sony fanboy. The ps3 doesn't cost more than $600 to make these days. Maybe at launch, and not even so. It was $800 at most from the beginning. So you just admit that if it were $250 you would buy it. So money must be the issue in your case.
Scratched what surface? The imaginary one you have lined up in your head? There won't be many great wii games, just like there weren't many great GC games. The Few that will come out will always be regular price for the next 5 years and that's what you will be stuck playing. Upgraded GC games. Funny thing is that you don't want to get a ps3 because there aren't 'many games' yet you bought a wii and all your wii games are nes titles ATM. Having fun playing NES?
U wish your PC can play UT at 1080i at ~60fps in high quality. My friend spent 2k on a PC this year and even he knows it won't play like a ps3 which has 9 processors and is optimized for the game. If you want the full experience, get a ps3. Knowing you, you don't want the full experience. And if PS3 is anything like your god given ps2, you know that the competition is in trouble. Nintendo may lead now because they were the cheapest this holiday season but next holiday season it's PS3's turn. And if you get in now, you can get sony style's $150 off $500 ps3.
Funky hamster, you are right, one is a fresh coat of paint but what else would they be? Virtua fighter 5 hasn't improved much from part 3 except the graphics. All games are the same these days with better graphics which in turn up the gameplay experience. Yes Wii is just the same old with a better controller without the better graphics/gameplay. Don't break the hearts of those who bought it. I wonder if Mario NES has motion sensor gameplay???

Okay, let's start from the beginning.
The PS3 has 1 processor (the Cell) with 7 SPEs; each of those is much less powerful than any Core 2 Duo.
If your friend spent $2k on a computer recently and did it right, he should have something that will run UT3 in 1080p maxed out. My $150 graphics card is only a little worse than the PS3's RSX...
If anything, the PS3 is the most like the Gamecube this gen - it has a specific target audience, and isn't as well received outside of that audience.
Also, the PS3 still costs around $650 to manufacture.
Furthermore, why are you bashing the PS2 but praising the PS3? I don't get it. :?

Stop making stuff up, no $150 video card can come near the PS3, besides, comparing processors that are dedicated to running a complex OS like Windows takes away much of the resources. Dreamcast ran Quake 3 twice as fast as my PIII 500mhz PC with Voodoo3. Considering the specs, the Dreamcast was 3 times less powerful and ran the game nearly twice as fast with the same settings. Combine all the processor's and you got something that would pwn a dual core. By specific target audience, do you mean 90% of gamers?
I bash the ps2 and not the ps3 because I am speaking facts. The Ps2 was really crappy and had really BAD aliasing issues where as the GC has great Anti Aliasing. I have yet to see a game run as well for the PC as it does for the XBOX and the PS3 is superior to that. You are looking at numbers which is typical but that doesn't mean anything since intel is garbage (4ghz intel = 3ghz amd). So don't compare apples to oranges. Much like the MAC is stronger than it's specs on paper because of the custom built hardware. Yes i'm sure that his PC will be comparable, but for the extra $1500 spent to make it a 3d powerhouse, definately not worth it and no blueray player.

so you say the ps2 barely any great games, and the gamecube had more. Then you say the wii is like the gamecube which barely had any great games.... well first off theres already about 20 games coming out for the wii this year and next that look pretty good(that are all exclusive). second theres only about 10 ps3 games that look good that are coming out this year and next year(the majority coming out next year, and all are exclusive.) Then you also say game reviews determine the winner. but the gaemcube has 19 games that were given a 9.0 or higher(on gamespot) and the Ps2 has 60 games given a 9.0 or higher (on gamespot). SO by your definition the ps2 wins. OH and by the way your collection of games..... Im not sure if you just excluded your ps2 games or what but your collection is only made up of gamecube games (64) to be exact seems a little biased. MAybe you should actually try and play good ps2 games before accusing it of having a sucky library.

I wonder if Mario NES has motion sensor gameplay???
so you say the ps2 barely any great games, and the gamecube had more.
I never said that the ps2 doesn't have great games I JUST KEEP SAYING that it has nothing to do graphically with any other system. This whole conversation started when I said that the ps2 is upgraded DC graphics. Again, ps2 might have tons of awesome games, all of which have the worst graphics for that generation.
You just proved my point. The GC library is ~550 games, vs the ps2 library of ~3000. So the ratio of 9.0/higher is much greater for GC. 19/550 is much greater than 60/3000
I own, 2 ps2, 4 gc, 3 dc, ps3, 3 gba, 1gbc and PC. Nothing bias about me. I just haven't uploaded my PS2 on my gaming sheet. It took me 2 hours to get my GC gamesheet and wishlist going. When I have time I will do the rest.
Anyone would agree that the ps2 doesn't have more quality games.
I think anyone would honestly. Just look at Gamespot's reviews. Why do you think PS2 won last gen? Because it has the best game lineup. 120 million people wouldn't have bought it if it didn't.
So you are a sony fanboy.
You're the fanboy. I'm defending the good Sony systems (PS1 and PS2) and you're blindly defending the bad Sony system (PS3)that is selling horribly. I own Wii, GC, PS2, PS1, PSP, DS, GBA, GBC, and Sega Genesis.
The ps3 doesn't cost more than $600 to make these days.
Yes it does. They are still selling at a considerable loss.
So you just admit that if it were $250 you would buy it.
No I didn't. I will buy it if it ever gets a good gaming library to warrant a purchase.
So money must be the issue in your case.
No, I work for a living. I could go buy it tomorrow if I wanted but right now its a waste of money.
Scratched what surface? The imaginary one you have lined up in your head? There won't be many great wii games
Metroid 3, SSBB, Mario Galaxy, Resident Evil 4, Zelda: TP, WarioWare, Wii Sports, Super Paper Mario, Trauma Center, Battalion Wars, Endless Ocean, Mario Kart Wii, Zack And Wiki, Madden 08, Guitar Hero III, My Sims, Geometry Wars, Mercury Meltdown, Dewy's Adventure, Nights, RE: Umbrella Chronicles, Soul Calibur Legends, Nitrobike, Manhunt 2, No More Heroes.... The list goes on.
just like there weren't many great GC games.
Stop contradicting yourself. You recently said that the GC had great games. Personally, I loved the GC library. It just wasn't as widespread as the PS2.
U wish your PC can play UT at 1080i at ~60fps in high quality.
Actually I'd rather play it on a mouse and keyboard instead on a console. Especially not the PS3 controller. At least Xbox 360 and Wii have rumble...

That's not going to happen. The Wii has been sold out form nine months with no end in sight. The PS3 was on the shelf a week after release. The Wii is selling because its the best system and most worthwhile purchase. If price is so imporatant than why didn't the much cheaper GC win last generation?
ps2 doesn't have more quality games
okay but next time you say the ps2 doesnt have more quality games you should be careful on how you put that like say graphically the ps2 doesnt have that much quality. Cause there are tons of games with great quality gameplay (even graphics). probably more then gamecube. This isnt a ratio of how much good over how much crap on one system. Its just a ratio of how much good there is on the ps2 compared to how much good there is on the gamecube. Sure the ps2 graphics dont shine as brightly as other systems but... none the less there are some very artistic games. Like okami thats a stunning game.

more make belive... It's ALL OVER the internet that the ps3 is $650 to make tops. From the list you named. LOOK how much crap you listed. RE5 isn't going to deliver for the wii and you know that. It's a ps3 game and don't try to bring that on your side. How about RE4?? Another GC port that doesn't even makes sense to use with the light gun because the button configuration is crap. So far all you posted were 3rd party titles that will look like call of duty 3 did (crappy no shadows). Do you honestly enjoy those lame games like battalion wars and nitro bike?? Ps3 also will have a keyboard and mouse add on as stated by Sony.
The only reason that PS2 won is because of DVD playback. The Japanese didn't have DVD catch on until after the PS2 release. When it did, they RAN to get a ps2 as it was By FAR the cheapest DVD player out there. I wouldn't be surprised if most ppl just had a ps2 there to watch dvd's. Lets not forget sony fanbase either. You still post BS considering I slurred the PS2 graphics which I am totally right about and no one can say otherwise. Why do you keep popping in and telling me about sales? No that's not fair, it's a ratio, obviously if you compared 100000 games, 1000 will be 9 or higher. They simply had more opportunites. You have to compare it to the whole amount of games for that console. 20/500 is greater than 60/3000. Sure there are artisitic games, all of which have poor framerates (which make me want to vomit) and the 'step ladder effect', ie, poor aliasing.

Because they only accentuate my point whereas they make yours less valid.

The PS3 doesn't sell for $250 so that is a stupid comparison. I will buy it when it has games that warrant a purchase regardless of price.
Mmkay, please don't accuse me of making stuff up. The PS3's RSX (as reported by Playstation Magazine) has 24 pixel pipelines and 8 vertex pipelines, with a G70 GPU clocked @500Mhz. The GeForce 7800GTX has the same specs, with a clock speed of 430MHz instead. Thus the 7800GTX is slightly less powerful than the RSX. I have a 7900GS. It has 4 less pixel pipelines, and 1 less vertex pipeline, but it's clocked at 550Mhz, so it bests the 7800GTX in most benchmarks, meaning it is more powerful. It also costs between $130 and $170 on sites like Newegg. Now then, I believe my statement that I have a $150 graphics card that is almost as powerful as the RSX is completely true.Stop making stuff up, no $150 video card can come near the PS3, besides, comparing processors that are dedicated to running a complex OS like Windows takes away much of the resources.
Casiotech
Okay, you can't compare a Dreamcast's processor to a Pentium 3 because they have completely different architectures, just like you can't compare Intel processors to AMD.
The Cell is a strong CPU, yes, but a $178 C2D E6600 will probably be sufficient to run UT3 maxed out on the PC. There is no way $2000 is needed to build a PC that can run games looking like a next-gen console.

The ps3's rsx, just like you stated has a different architecture and so why compare what's written on paper? You also leave out the fact that the OS takes up a great deal of the resources anyways. In addition, there are far to few PC games being made anyways. what like 20 ps3 games to one pc game?
You don't need to spend $2000 to make a PC run that way, but atleast $1300 (with blue ray) to get the same performance if that. In addition, it's not about hardware. Software is only optimized and runs properly for game consoles.

You mean America's XBOX, that the Japanese stayed far away from for other reason as well as political ones?
We both know graphics MATTER or else people would still be playing the 2000 Playstation One games with no intention of upgrading...
I don't care that PS2 was the worst graphically. Graphics don't matter, games do.
GameCube delivers both. Superior versions of the Sonic games (graphics, speed, control), four exclusive Wrestling games, virtually every first-party game is worth getting, etc. The PS2 may have more games, but more doesn't always mean better.
We both know graphics MATTER or else people would still be playing the 2000 Playstation One games with no intention of upgrading...
If you had read what I said previously, I said that graphics can enhance a game but do not make a game. Gameplay is paramount. A powerful system is useless unless it has good games. And what is wrong with playing old games? Just because a new generation comes out doesn't make all the old games any less fun. I still play GC, N64, SNES, NES, Genesis, and TG16 on my Wii through virtual console. I also still play PS2 titles.
Superior versions of the Sonic games (graphics, speed, control), four exclusive Wrestling games,
Are those the only first party exclusives you can think of? See what I mean? I know there are others like REmake, RE0, and Eternal Darkness but still, there are hardly any. And when you compare the GC to PS2's good 3rd party exclusives, it's not too hard to figure out why one system outsold the other 6 to 1.
virtually every first-party game is worth getting, etc.
Absolutely and that is why I love Nintendo. But to attract a mainstream and wide audience your games must have variety and casual appeal. GC failed in this aspect.
The PS2 may have more games, but more doesn't always mean better.
The PS2 not only had more games but more good games and must-buys. Whether those games are your cup of tea or not is up to you but there is no denying this fact. The lineup also had tons of variety. While GC was filled Nintendo games, and Xbox with shooters, the PS2 stood as a system with something for everyone. That is why it sold over 120 million units, that is why it now outsells GC 50 to 1, and that is why it outsells PS3 almost 7 years after launch.
Are those the only first party exclusives you can think of?
Uh, those are THIRD-party exclusives I mentioned (minus the Sonic games). I didn't list any first-part games, just mentioned that virtually every one of them is worth getting.
I know there are others like REmake, RE0, and Eternal Darkness but still, there are hardly any.
There's A LOT more third-party games for GC worth getting than just those. Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, Resident Evil 4, Tales of Symphonia, Soul Calibur II, Star Wars Rogue Leader, Star Wars Rebel Strike, Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, Mortal Kombat: Deception, Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II, Phantasy Star Online Episode III: C.A.R.D. Revolution, Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean, Baten Kaitos Origins, Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life, Harvest Moon: Another Wonderful Life, Harvest Moon: Magical Melody, Mega Man Anniversary Collection, Skies of Arcadia Legends, Pac-Man World 2, Viewtiful Joe, Viewtiful Joe 2, Madden NFL 2002-08, Mario Superstar Baseball (Namco developed it), Burnout 2: Point of Impact, Need for Speed Underground, Need for Speed Underground 2, Need for Speed Most Wanted, Need for Speed Carbon, WWE WrestleMania X8, WWE Day of Reckoning, WWE Day of Reckoning 2, Super Mario Strikers (Next Level Games developed this one), Sonic Heroes, SSX Tricky, SSX 3, SSX On Tour, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4, Tony Hawk's Underground, Tony Hawk's Underground 2, Tony Hawk's American Wasteland, TimeSplitters 2, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Prince of Persia: Warrior Within, Ikaruga, F-Zero GX (from Amusement Vision), etc. come into mind.
Also, it doesn't matter if many of these games can be found on other systems. They remain great games on GameCube.
The PS2 not only had more games but more good games and must-buys. Whether those games are your cup of tea or not is up to you but there is no denying this fact.
It is a fact that PS2 has more games. There's definitely no denying that. But more good games and must-buys? That's an opinion. Also, I think you've made it clear that the GC never was your favorite last-gen system.
You mean America's XBOX, that the Japanese stayed far away from for other reason as well as political ones?
The PS2 outsold the Xbox 3 to 1 in America.
Uh, those are THIRD-party exclusives I mentioned
My mistake. I screwed up. I was thinking third party but wrote first. Sorry!
There's A LOT more third-party games for GC worth getting than just those.
Those were just good third party exclusives I listed. I will also add Twin Snakes to that list. But you can see that there are very few.
Also, it doesn't matter if many of these games can be found on other systems. They remain great games on GameCube.
But that's my point. They can be enjoyed on other systems, while other systems also have many more third party exclusves as well as first party games. Though Nintendo certainly has the best first party games. That's what I love about them.Alsosome of those games were published by Nintendo (though not developed) making them 1st party games. Lots of Nintendo games are developed by other companies just like Metroid Prime was developed by Retro Studios.
It is a fact that PS2 has more games. There's definitely no denying that. But more good games and must-buys? That's an opinion.
It's an opinion that's held by many. Unlike you, I actually back up my statements.
Go here: http://www.gamespot.com/games.html?type=top_rated&platform=7&mode=all&sort=score&dlx_type=all&date_filter=all&sortdir=asc Listed are all of PS2 games rated over 7. The PS2 has 15 pages of games listed. Now go here: http://www.gamespot.com/games.html?type=top_rated&platform=11&mode=all&sort=score&dlx_type=all&date_filter=all&sortdir=asc. The Gamecube has 5 1/2 pages. That's almost three times as many good PS2 games as good Gamecube games.
Also, I think you've made it clear that the GC never was your favorite last-gen system.
I never said that. I actually own twice as many GC games as PS2 games. Look at my collection in my profile for proof. Just because PS2 has more good games doesn't mean I don't prefer GC games. Lots of the RPG's, Platformers, Shooters, and Sports games on PS2 didn't interest me although they were still very good games. I'm looking at this from an unbiased stance unlike many of you.
Those were just good third party exclusives I listed. I will also add Twin Snakes to that list. But you can see that there are very few.
I don't care. You've also just simply said in other topics that the GC has very few good third-party games, meaning you were talking about both exclusive and non-exclusive third-party. Most will agree with me that the third-party GC games I listed are great, and that's plenty of games right there and doesn't include all the great first and second-party GC games.
But whatever. You wanna talk good exclusives? There's quite a few GC exclusives in that list:
Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes
Tales of Symphonia
Star Wars Rogue Leader
Star Wars Rebel Strike
Phantasy Star Online Episode III: C.A.R.D. Revolution
Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean
Baten Kaitos Origins
Harvest Moon: Another Wonderful Life
Harvest Moon: Magical Melody
Mario Superstar Baseball
WWE WrestleMania X8
WWE Day of Reckoning
WWE Day of Reckoning 2
Super Mario Strikers
Ikaruga (GC exclusive outside of Japan)
F-Zero GX
Plus there's REmake, RE0, Eternal Darkness, Pac-Man Vs., WWE WrestleMania XIX, and Star Fox: Assault (the latter three I forgot to list). Also Mario Party 4-7, which are from Hudson Soft.
It's an opinion that's held by many.
Yet, it remains an opinion and not a fact. You said it was a fact.
I never said that.
I know you didn't. You IMPLIED it with all the GC bashing and PS2 prasing you've done.
I'm looking at this from an unbiased stance unlike many of you.
I'm not biased towards the GC. I have a PS2 and even my old PS1, and play the Gran Turismo series almost every day. I also have and enjoy playing my NES, SNES, N64, Sega Genesis, Dreamcast, and Game Boy Advance SP. I'm just sick of all the GC bashing you've been doing.
Alsosome of those games were published by Nintendo (though not developed) making them 1st party games. Lots of Nintendo games are developed by other companies just like Metroid Prime was developed by Retro Studios.
F-Zero GX, Mario Superstar Baseball, and Super Mario Strikers were developed by third-party companies, making them third-party games (same goes for Wario World, which was developed by Treasure). Retro Studios is a second-party developer, making Metroid Prime a second-party game (which is why I didn't list it).
Wait... Intelligent Systems is a 2nd-party developer, right?F-Zero GX, Mario Superstar Baseball, and Super Mario Strikers were developed by third-party companies, making them third-party games (same goes for Wario World, which was developed by Treasure).

You think the 3rd party support for the wii will be any better? As soon as the ps3 takes off. Good bye 3rd party wii games.

You enjoy making up stuff to annoy everyone. 15 pages for a library that's over 3000 games compared to one of 5 1/2 500 means that the ps2 fails in ratio which is all that matters. MEANING that there are actually half the good number of games, vs the number of bad games for the PS2 than GC. That also means that there are 2000 ps2 games that got less than a 7, and probably 1000 not worth touching because it's pure S*** AND any 3rd party game that's on both the ps2 and GC, the ps2 will fail miserably in graphics, and framerates, etc compared to GC.
The xbox didn't outsell the ps2 because ppl didn't have a mind of their own and just bought what their friends owned. The ps2 was also EASY to rip games and xbox was harder so that's another account. Nobody wants to pay for games these days whether you want to admit that or not, It's happening all the time. I don't approve.
Fan base doesn't mean that the system or games are better. If everyone jumped off a cliff, you would too? The xbox was much better console graphically and that's why it didn't have games because it was too strong for it's generation. Developers downgraded to the least common denominator, THE PS2. They always make games with the cheapest system in mind and what sells the best. If people don't have good taste what can I say? Unless it's an exclusive will an XBOX game truely shine. There are no ps2 games that run like Ninja Gaiden, Halo2 or DOA3. God of War was okay but no XBOX game. Very polygonal and choppy at times. And the effects looked watered down. All those could pass as bad ps3 games. Quite an accomplishment that XBOX.
For one. I know for a fact they make more money on selling gamecube hardware, than Wii hardware. Since the cost to make a gamecube is very cheap (It's 6 yr old technology). Wii is probably more than $200 to make.
Then they want you to have a gamecube so that you can get introduced to nintendo again or if you are curious to get into gaming but are afraid to spend big money so you get an introductory entry level console that has many great titles. In a few months when you get fond of all the wonderful Nintendo Characters, you will want to upgrade then anyways because you will want to find out what next gen is like. So in turn you will have just bought Nintendo's old technology and are a repeat customer all within few months/couple years.. Who can hold out long when there is a new console out anyways?
Ps. Twilight princess for Wii sucked because they made Link right handed. Left handers holler'.

No because Link is left handed. So that is an insult to the character.
