[QUOTE="Darkeroid2212"]Batman Arkham series if you haven't played that. Mafia 2, Amnesia, The Walking Dead, and the Bioshock series are games I've enjoyed on PC. As for games that are close to Mass Effect, I really can't think of a lot of good ones. The two off the top of my head are The Witcher series and Dragon Age Origins. And if you haven't played the KOTOR series, I'd play those as well. Can you guys recommend me some good single player games for PC? I play almost every type of game except linear FPS-es like COD. Those games' single player campaigns bore me to death. I recently played the Mass Effect series and loved it, so I would prefer something close to it, but basically any game with a good sigle-player will do. Also, please, no JRPGs.

There's also Deus Ex HR.
Alright need a recommendation on these tps based on gameplay, game length and story.
Spec Ops the line, Max Payne 3, Ghost Recon FS, Vanquish.

Spec Ops has an excellent story, but it's not well known for its gameplay (it's serviceable but not amazing). Â MP3 has satisfying gore and impact, but there are some control quirks and the basic plot is rather generic (although the writing is very strong). Â Vanquish is tons of fun, with things constantly flying around the screen and has a goofy, fun story.
If you want pure awesome gameplay, Vanquish is the way to go. If you want an excellent story the Spec Ops is for you. If you want a medium between both then MP3 is good.

Thats a good way to put it. Thanks. Ill probably end up getting spec ops first, MP3 2nd, then Vanquish.[QUOTE="turtlethetaffer"]

Action Adventure:
-Darksiders 1 and 2, Kingdom of Amalur, Sleeping Dogs, Zone of the Enders HD collection.
RPG:
-Dragon Age Origins + Awakening, Dragon Age 2 (its decent), Mass Effect trilogy, Oblivion, Valkyria Chronicles.

My dad likes teamwork in gaming and likes playing PvP with strategy teamwork. His favorite game is Gears of War 3. I want to get him into a different game that has the same teamwork aspect like Gears of War 3. Any suggestions? PS: I have PS3 and Xbox 360.Baroni88Whether u heard that Killzone 3 is bad or not, but the MP aspect of the game is very team oriented. If you dont work as a team, then you lose. Simple as that. I personally thought KZ3 is a pretty good game.
I'm looking for a MMORPG that has no auto-attack, no dungeon crawling, Free-to-Play but no Pay-to-Win, NO simulators-type games and no gender lock-based jobs/classes. Thank you~
[QUOTE="19038"]Now that my kids are grown, I finally have some time to play videogames. I would like to start with a World War II game (I am a history buff) and would appreciate suggestions of 360 or PS2 games which are good for someone with no recent experience and senior citizen reflexes to play by himself (I may graduate to multiplayer, but right now do not want want young kids mocking my ineptitude). In short, I would like to shoot Nazis or fight off Banzai charges without having to master complicated gameplay. ThanksBlabadonCall of Duty World at War and Call of Duty 2 Never thought I'd recommend three CoD games in a row. Those, and if u wanna shoot nazis play Wolfenstien.
This question is for those who have played the metal gear solid series. I want to get into them, but I'm wondering if the collection with 2, 3, and Peace Walker is a good start. Will I enjoy playing them even if I haven't played the first one?
Yoshi9000
First one is pretty needed. Â Granted, I guess you could technically play them and still kinda half understand but it'd be better if you played 1. Â If I'm not mistaken, they released a Legacy Collection that has like every major game in the series up to 4.
I was looking for something similar and found TERA Online. It's an action MMO with things like manual dodging, combo attacks, etc. As for not being pay to win it depends on the version. The NA version is hosted by En Masse Entertainment. They very anti P2W, the servers are stables, and they make unique content just for then NA version. The EU version of Frogster is sadly the polar opposite: utterly pay to win, horrible service, and a great deal of lag.I'm looking for a MMORPG that has no auto-attack, no dungeon crawling, Free-to-Play but no Pay-to-Win, NO simulators-type games and no gender lock-based jobs/classes. How is the Hitman HD collection on the 360? Also, how is Hitman Absolution? I've never played a Hitman game.
I like the HD Collection myself and I found Absolution to be ok, its going really cheap now so worth it i'd say.Â
Although Blood Money is still a b!tch to play on HDMI on the 360.
How is Blacklist, SC fans?

You get to blow the brains out of nazis.....literally. If you get a good snipe shot, the game will follow your bullet and give you a xray vision of your bullet going right through nazis. You can see your bullet tear a hole through nazis hearts, literally. There should still be a demo out.

Definitely. Hitman 2 is the best in the series. I'd say Absolution is a lot more 'casual' entry but they are both good games.Â
Contracts is ok. And Blood Money is very good too, it's just a bit of a headache to play because it has Pal 50/60 issues.

Cool thanks a bunch!
Looking for recommendations on games to play when I'm tired. Basically something to kill time when I don't have the focus for a challenge, but is still entertaining. Please don't suggest GTA5Â as I'm waiting for the PS4 version.
Prince of Persia 2008. Dead cheap, a fantastic game for the factor that if you want to chill and enjoy the journey, there's no better game in my eyes. It's simplistic to a fault, but very fun.[QUOTE="BranKetra"]-The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena -Enslaved: Odyssey to the West -Killzone 3 -Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom Which of these is the most fun and replayable? Thank you ahead of time. I don't recommend Enslaved at all and Majin looks like one of those games that should have done better but didn't. Out of those, I'd say Killzone 3, being the only one I finished, is definitely the best. Great campaign (essentially a glorified shooting gallery with an extremely shitty plot to tie it together) that can be played in split-screen. Replayablility is very much in the eye of the beholder as I didn't want to replay it because outside of being very fun, it's not much more than a one-time run through.Looking for recommendations on games to play when I'm tired. superfluidity
Hey anybody want to give me some advice? I got a couple of games on my mind.
I'm picking up Bioshock Infinite and Tomb Raider and along with those two, another game, but I'm kind of split between a few games for the third buy:
Dead Space 3- Loved the first, liked the second, heard a lot of bad things about 3. Still worth it?
Metro: Last Light- Wondering if the first game is necessary to enjoy the sequel.
Ni No Kuni- Not really my usual genre but part of me wants to give it a shot. The last time I tried to go out of my comfort zone (Dark Souls), things went extremely well.
Thanks for any help!
@gpuFX16: I played Last Light without playing 2033 first and I was able to play it just fine. Some of the references were lost on me, but the story itself is self-contained enough to be enjoyed on its own merits. It's a great game. Definitely worth checking out.
If you're unsure about Ni no Kuni, give it a rent first. It's got a lot of charm, but it's slow to start and very, very long. Best to know what you're getting into and whether you like it before committing.
@Darkeroid2212: Try Alan Wake. I loved the story in that game. It's a little linear but it's third person and has fun and interesting gameplay. Also, if you're willing to go the way of indie games, try Bastion. It has a really unique way of telling a story and has fun combat and rpg elements.
I am looking for a new PC-game or iPad-game to play, especially a story-driven RPG type of game.
Games i've played and enjoyed:
Ultima VI, VII-1 and VII-2, Baldur's Gate 1&2, Icewind Dale 1&2, Neverwinter Nights (and the add-ons), Neverwinter Nights 2, Planescape: Torment, The Elder Scrolls series (III, IV: Oblivion, V: Skyrim), Mass Effect 1,2&3, Dragon Age 1&2, The Witcher 1&2, L.A. Noire, Fallout 3. Fallout: New Vegas.
On the iPad: Avernum: Escape from the Pit and Avadon.
I didnt enjoy Assassins Creed 1 nor Diablo 3.
I enjoy all kinds of games, but RPG's are definately my favorite, as you can see. I'm waiting for The Witcher 3, Dragon Age 3, The Elder Scrolls Online (depending on their bussiness model), cyberpunk 2077 and Avadon 2.
Anyone have a suggestion what i could play in the mean time?
