I was trying to get back in school this semester but i've been having a tough time applying for financial aid. I'd never received financial aid before so i didn't know how much of a process it was.

Space Marine is pimp. And hurricanes suck ass. Had to ride out Gilbert in 1988 and Karl last year. Pretty intense and gut wrenching experiences.

I didn't feel a thing yet every friend claims to have. I *think* they just want to say they felt it more than anything. Anyway, enough talk of that we gots a Hurricane to batten down the hatches for!

it it was just a litt vibration, kinda felt like someone was using a jackhammer or something outside. not much at all.

I live in NY but even some folks I know that live in VA didn't feel anything. Having never been in an earthquake I would assume it should be something easily recognizable but I felt more vibrations using an electric razor.

thats about all the stronger it was. it was my first as well. itd be very easy to not even notice it.

Funny thing you mention that as there some construction guy using a jackhammer outside all day right in front of my apartment to fix the steps and the sidewalk. Very annoying.

I went through Andrew back in 1992 and that was just awful. For some reason, the storm decided to spare my family's house with the exception of my room. Damn roof caved in only over my bedroom

Not quite 10 but it really did suck walking through the rest of the house and only seeing broken windows, then opening my room door and seeing the ceiling and roof sitting on my bed and floor.

I believe we went to a hotel for the first few days. But since my dad is an insurance salesman, we got an adjuster to come out pretty quickly and take care of our house (and a lot of our neighbors too). It just sucked having to clean up my room with ceiling all over the place.

We brewed our first big batch tonight.

We've got three different kinds of malt and three different kinds of hops in it. It is going to be some strong stuff.:)

Nah, it is a chair. It has some of my roommate's art supplies sitting in a plastic bag on top of it. It looks kinda like a bed though. I thought about having our fermentation bucket in my bedroom, but I think it is going to be better sitting underneath our AC unit. It is supposed to stay around 70 degrees while it ferments.

Great so far. I really like my professors, and I've been having an easier time paying attention. Between brewing and school, I've been reading more and gaming way less. It has been nice.
