Which trophies do you need? I assume the ring trophy is one since it was one of the hardest to get. One of them is the ring trophy. The one ring is where you go to the top of the nexus while having pure white character tendency and talk to the monument. I'm like one character level away from being pure I think. The other two are just upgrading a weapon with a bladestone and the moonlightstone.

September is not what I'm worried about. Only Dead Island and Gears Of War 3 are the only two games I'll be picking up, along with FIFA 2012. Just three games in that month. It's November that I'm worried about, because four games I haven't paid off yet will be available around that time and I have every intention of picking those up. Everything in October is just about paid for...I just gotta reserve Dark Souls and Rage in time to pick up their updated editions.

Lol, Gears of War. I'll be wanting the actual new Gears of War and it's called Space Marine! Also, Arkedo Series, Ugly Americans, Bodycount (meh), Dead Island, Tropico 4 (though technically today), Serious Sam and those others that passed my inbox I forgot about. These are all coming in one week's time :(. Let's hope there's a stretch from there on out.

You guys being paid yet? I pay myself, don't care about those other cats. My expenditure in games in the last 8 months has dropped from 60-100 a month to 0-10 and reviewing full priced titles for free does not suck. Hell, sometimes I feel a bit guilty, like with Mount & Blade. That game costs like 8 bucks and I played well over 100 hours on it; most of which after the review.

Well, I tried out the demo yesterday. Felt like a wonky hybrid between a third-person shooter and a hack-n-slash. The more I played it, the more I veered towards the rental department. As for Bodycount, very much meh. Chris Watters, in his Gamespot review, was right - it's better off as a bargin bin game of sorts, but for the full price of $60? Not worth it!

yeah, of course. it makes sense to an extent, but not when it becomes overcrowded with tons of releases and your game end up on the back of the shelf as a result

It always drives me nuts because games that could easily sell at other slow times now get burried under the great titles.

Since I never played Demon's Souls, what do both the pure bladestone and pure moonlightstone do? Do they increase your stats in some way?
You really should play it. Well I'm no expert but I'll try to explain it as best as I can. There are like 15 or so different types of stones that function as upgrades for weapons. You can find most of these stones from drops from killed enemies. Some are easy to find while others are very rare. There are three/four classes of stones depending on which stone it is but you just basically need a certain amount of each to fully upgrade a certain type of weapon. Each stone also has certain types of attributes that they boost. For example, the Bladestone weapon gives you an additional increases DEX bonus and lowers STR bonus while a weapon fully upgraded with Greystone gives you an increases STR bonus and eliminates DEX bonus. I'm only doing this to get the platinum trophy.

That and the flame war erupting after I gave Deus Ex: HR a 79 got me kind of bummed right now. Luckily, Deftones is lifting my spirits.

Saying that the name alone will keep this boat afloat means nothing to me. I played this game with no expectations. And instead of mentioning things you've already read I've got to agree with most things the user who commented on your review said. It was from one extreme (i.e. Jensen the douchebag) to the other.
As for he batteries there's never any incentive to get 5 of them at all. Since only the first one regens it's completely pointless to have all the other ones. As soon as your first two run out, pop some nutrients and on you go. Having the 5 spaces available is pointless.

I haven't played Deux EX HR yet, but everyone tells me it's a game worth checking out and it looks like you agree with that. But at least you're honest in seeing its shorticomings and making them noticeable in your review. Not that many reviewers do that...and you're right, reviewers these days give a lot of games a free pass because it's a game from a highly, well-known series, like Grand Theft Auto or Halo. It has to be given a high score because it's Halo or because it's GTA and that's despicable.
You should, they're equally amazing. Well, the first one is anyways. I had some expectations, but not a great deal, only the anticipation to uphold the franchise name; which it did with vigor. I don't think I jump from one extreme to the other more than once though, meaning I only address the terrible first, then switch to the more important part, being the brilliant. But I do remind from time why some lesser aspects in the brilliant occur. Not because they aren't brilliant, but because the terrible aspect logically overlaps with it. And I upgraded my charges to 4, since it does matter for elongated cloaks and takedowns for instance. Having it fully reload would seem to easy, I think. Though I suppose it could've been the last augmentation tier, but again, then you're basically crushing the opposition if you have some typhoon ammo handy. Or you'd simply stealth run, wait a minute, stealth run, etc to the end. Imagine doing that in the last stage and think of the difference it means between getting through that hectic place and simply having to bypass it. That would've killed the magic for me.

This. I could name many more, but no sense in further digging my grave. But yes, we all do that. I'm no exception to that rule; I'm not flawless. But even my beloved Deus Ex had to get sized up. I approached it from two perspectives: 1) As a fan, could I let it slide, since this game is so fantastic? 2) As an uninformed source towards the franchise, could I forgive the horrible flaws? I had some troubles with it, but in the end both cases fell on "No". I would've felt like I would mislead my audience if I gave it a "great" rating, making them believe the game is more skillfully crafted than it is. But yes, you should definitely get this game, no question there. I merely suggest you show some patience on its horrible first impression. I actually started giving the game a 7 on GS, but it grew on me a ton. On Gs it has an 8 cbtw :).
