Official Sony E3 Press Conference Thread - PS Vita $249!

The show dragged a bit (Sony's shows are always too talky) and there wasn't enough Starhawk footage (only a tiny glimpse of space combat, but it did reveal that there will be some massive battleships). For me the two standouts were Uncharted 3 and Littlebigplanet PSP.

Its odd that there was no word on Sorcery and that a very similar Move title was shown (Medieval Move). Still, I like how developers are throwing support for Move into core games where it makes sense such as shooters and real time strategies (I don't know if Move brings anything to the table for b-ball games, but 2K seems to think it does).

Well overall that was a really good conference. Loved the Uncharted 3 and Resistance 3 stuff. Infamous 2 was cool but I wasn't as thrilled with the demo as I'd thought I'd be. Some cool bonuses for a couple of multiplatform games thanks to extra disc space. Street Fighter X Tekken was a nice surprise for the PSVita but I'll just likely stick with the home console version. I liked the price of the PSVita. The system looks very cool with a bunch of neat features. Some good Move stuff shown.

I think Sony just doesn;t know how to make a fun show. MS had a terrible show but it moved fast and was fun from start to finish (unintionally at times). We dont need to see Ruin and Modnation racers. We need to see Killzone NGP and Resistance. We saw it running realtime four months ago. Where is it?

We dont need to see NBA2k Move. We need to see Sorcery. it was supposed to be out by now. Where is it?

Of course, not showing The Agent, The Last Guardian is just plain criminal. They announced those games THREE E3s ago.

No God of War 4 is also disappointing. SSM have been working on it for over a year now. They put out a badass GoW2 demo in the same amount of time, so why not God Of War 4? Heavy Rain sequel was probably expecting a bit too much but no Journey and God of War is just insane.

Well they didn't show ModNation Racers for the game, they showed it to demonstrate how the tilt, touchscreen, etc. can be used to speed things up in an editor. Pretty much showing practical uses of the new features.

For me, the coolest thing was the TV using 3D tech to do away with splitscreen. That could be such a cool thing if it catches on.

For me, it was the $499 price tag. I love how the glasses are included. I went to Bestbuy the other day. Badass 3DTV for $1500. Glasses NOT included. Not even the first pair. I was like wtf?

They are talking a lot about PS3 > PSV connectivity so it seems like PS4 is a few years out, but I'm sure it will connect with Vita just as well.F1Lengend

Connectivity between home and portable consoles seems like the next big thing for the industry, Sony especially. I betcha everyone (well, maybe not microsoft; they'd have to make a dedicated portable system of their own first) will have some sort of means of doing that sometime within the next couple of console generations.

I think Starhawk will be my goto MP game when it comes out. Honestly, I'm way more interested in it than Battlefield 3 or whatever else. Can't wait to see some space battles. I know Carnage and Solid will be all over it.F1Lengend

BF3 will be my goto multiplayer this winter, but I will be all over Starhawk when it comes out next year.

The build and play system looks phenomenal. Warhawks to Mech transformations are just glorious. Love the new warthogs too.

Dark Souls isn't PS3-exclusive.

That plus I believe the director mentioned that they had delays working on the online portion of the game due to PSN going boom.

Indeed. I thought they would have made that one of the centerpieces of the conference. Guess they're banking more on Resistance for fall.

That looks AMAZING. Both games are some of the finest looking games I've ever played on any platform. i cant wait to play them in 3D. I am buying that f***ing 3D bundle Day1.

250 Euro is £222 pounds as of right now, which is very good I think. I'd better start saving though. Considering that's just the R.R.P too I expect it to be available for cheaper in sales and the like. :)
