The Official GGD Guitar Hero II Leaderboard Thread

Scores are up.

A few things:

Remember that the letter next to the score denotes what difficulty the person played at. E = Easy, M = Medium, H = Hard, X = Expert.

Rankings are obviously going to fluctuate as time passes, but it gives greater insight into what the score means, so I opted to include them.

I'm going to try to reformat and make the list a top ten again, assuming we have enough people active.

I still need to add commas to most of the numbers, but I'm just numb after typing that up. I'll do it manana. I'll also change the font size on titles to make them easier to differentiate.

I'm going to add a cumulative points chart as well. This seems important, too.

EazyB didn't make it in time, but will be added to the next update. Sorry dude, just a smidge too close to the wire.

Also, couldn't find CrankyOldGamer to send a FR to. Are you sure the spelling is correct?

And Alex..... damn. Dude, just.....damn. Those are some sweet scores. Your profile always shows Guitar Hero in the "Now Playing" list, and I always wondered if you'd just accidentally left it there and forgot to update it. WRONG! That is flat godly, though. My hat goes off to you.

And with that, I have some practicing to do. I'm getting my ass handed to me in too many songs. Any other suggestions?

Damn Alex, just damn :) I see a lot of people have gotten those scores playing Hard, i just threw myself into Expert even though i am very rusty.

Granted I'm on the board for just about every song there's no way I can compete with some of you yet. I have a hard enough time for some of the songs on medium let alone even thinking about playing hard yet. What is the secret to playing hard? The orange button just seems so intimidating to me. Alex, you're kicking us down to the ground. We've got some work to do.axillia

There is no secret. You just have to keep playing over and over. Don't worry, you will get better with time. :)

I'm actually shooting for bi-weekly right now. Wednesdays and Sundays. I was gonna do it nightly, until I actually did it. That got me warmed up to bi-weekly really fast.

I got a pretty good score on Surrender the other day. Can you update before Alex beats it? :PConanfan1

Okay, I'll be doing the revision off and on throughout the day.

First thing is to get the list changed to top ten instead of five as there are now enough people to where it's needed. I'll be doing that here at work throughout the day. I think I've found a way to streamline the score updates: Forced Labor. My wife loves this game and has been playing it along with me, so now it's time for her to pay her way. She can sit at the computer (she's a better typist than me) and I'll read the info to her. Should pare things down by at least a third, possibly half.

Friend Requests will be going out to the new peeps, so keep an eye out.  

Oh yeah, and The Reverend Horton Heat needs to burn in hell for "Psychobilly Freakout". I've been trying to 5 star it for like three days and it's driving me nutso. :)

If it wasn't for my complete ineptitude at Guitar Hero I would be all over this. I own the game and enjoy it ... but I really suck.

It was mostly due to space. But if I'm not mistaken, your career total is simply a number, and isn't tied to individual songs, but is more of an aggregate of everything.

The other reason was that I don't know a lot of people that are playing them yet. Aside from Trogdor, Thunderhorse and Jordan on Expert. I still plan to add it back in, but I wanted to make sure and nail the meat of the game as much as possible.

Good to see that the career leaderboards will include all of the songs (main track and bonus list). Like Alex, I prefer the "all songs" leaderboard as well. I also think combining the DLC board with the bonus songs is a great idea. Changing its name to "Bonus Songs & Downloadable Content" or something would work.

Thanks, man. It's cool to see something like this pop up every once in a while to add some cohesion to the community, and I'm having a blast just trying to hold into the top ten. I'm definitely going to need someone to update the week of May 21st, since I'll be on vacation. 

I got most of it done tonight, but I'm gonna save 7 & 8 for tomorrow morning. But all I've got to say is: Damn, some of you guys are good. It's flat scary.  

Alex, I can't even conceive of how you're getting such high scores on some of these songs. I keep thinking I've gotten a really high score and checking the leaderboards and seeing yours several thousand above mine.

I did beat everyone's score on Jessica though. I shouldn't have said anything :P 

Good deal on the updates, some of the #1/#2 scores are pretty close to each other. Although I don't think anyone is going to be touching my Killing in the Name score anytime soon, but well see. Also, glad to see that I'm not at #1 for all of the songs. But once I'm done grinding through the earlier difficultys for points I can actually play more expert, so yo' betta watch out. ;)Slunks

I am not looking forward to you getting even better scores :P Seriously, i was wondering if you were going to join this leaderboard thing we have going on and i am glad that you did. :) Also, for the record, i just want to say "Damn!" about your Killing in the Name score, that is impressive. Ranked 19th in the World isn't too bad, is it? :wink:
