The Official GGD Guitar Hero II Leaderboard Thread

Wow, I'm better than I thought. I still can't get Bad Reputation, Woman, or Tonight past 3 stars. They've been giving me trouble since the PS2 version.

Alright, look like mostly everything is done regarding to the main track list. Very nice work, I must say. I was surprised to see myself sit at #2 overall Career Score. But I can't wait until this weekend/next week when I'm done playing through hard mode. Once I'm done with that, I can actually play expert again and work on some of the lower scores I got from the first time through.

Way to beat me out, Alex... this time, my friend... this time.

Never mind - I nailed it.

But damn what anannoying song that is, just in general terms. There are bands that you gain a new respect for from playing their songs in Guitar Hero, and then there are bands that you absolutely hate. Horton Heat is one such band for me. Closely followed by Lamb of God, which is awful in a laughable way.

Also, all lists are being updated today, and new Friend Invites sent to the new signups.

Has anyone got the achievement for getting 5 stars on every song in expert?  (congrats to those who say yes... and to those who don't say yes but have though)

I was all ready to update the latest batch of scores, but chucked the data when the thread, eet go bye-bye, Senor. So I'll be shellacking the keyboard into the wee hours of the morning to bring you the latest on our resident Guitar Heroes posthaste.

There is one small thing we need to get worked out, though. My Friends List is full. So I need someone with some room on their FL who can take some of the spillover (about five peeps so far, but I'd expect more) and can e-mail me their scores twice a week. Don't take this lightly, because it sounds easier than it is. Still, I'm sure we can find someone who's up to the task - I mean, it's only five people, people. You can create and save a Word document with all the song titles and the 1-10 (or in your case, 5) on it and simply update it via your FL twice a week, copy and paste it to an e-mail, shoot it off to me and I'll do the rest.

Once we get that settled, the new folks will start getting added into the score mix, which is getting pretty damn awesome. It says a lot about this community that we have several people in the top hundred, some in the teens, and even some in the single digits. Say what you want about Gamespot, but we frigging play our games, and we play them hard. This ain't no disco.

Resume the rocking.

See, I nailed "Institutionalized" earlier on Hard, which for me, is a huge accomplishment seeing as "Institutionalized" in Latin basically means "Pain in the backside," but that's besides the point. The point is that I finally beat it, began playing Freebird's encore, failed Freebird, realized I was late to work and shut my system off.

It didn't save.

Jesus H Christ. I wanna throttle the dude who designed the save system. Here's a hint for your next game dude: SAVE THE DATA AFTER EVERY SONG FOR GOD'S SAKE. Seriously, should this even be an issue in this day and age? Now I gotta play more Suicidal Tendencies, which is giving me suicidal tendencies. So this Bud's for you Mr. Save Game Thinker Upper. You deserve it.

Tought luck. I knew the songs didn't save if you went straight to the encore. I don't do the encore at that momemt so i can get the save and then go and do it from the list. It takes a few moments longer but its worth it incase this situation occurs.

I just want the world to know (because it's important) that, for a while, I was beating Slunks at quite a few songs.  That was before he pretty much decided to, you know... stop letting me beat him at quite a few songs.  Now I think I'm beating him at two, maybe three.  For now.

And here I was feeling good about my 425K score on Beast :P  You stay the hell away from Carry Me Home, Slunks!

Amazing, I like Carry me home. But its when you play it its when you begin to hate it.

But i feel out of place in that conversation, I am only half the Guitar hero these guys are.

I havent 5*ed that song yet. I just have  a high of 194K.

Has anyone had any problems with the game after applying the auto-update? I read on the RedOctane forums that the update is bricking some systems, so I haven't applied it yet.ArchieGates

I had no issues with the update.  Everything is in working order.

So since we didn't get an update this Wednesday, when's the next target for updating? Next week, I imagine?Slunks

I'm planning on going ahead today/tonight, and if the new people are all signed on by the time it's done I'll add them in. If not, then they'll first appear on Wednesday's update.

Rankings removed above 1000. This was an arbitrary number (1000 I mean), but I removed them for two reasons:

A) Because it saves an assload of time.

and B) Seeing that you're 65,345 doesn't really do a whole lot for you or me.

So, 1000 may be a smidge too low, but I'd like to get a consensus on a number for the rankings.

Also, Bonus Songs and Downloadable leaderboards are going up today/night.

When you were doing the career scores, I think you forgot to switch off the "campaign only" option, because those are our campaign only scores. On the all songs leaderboard, I have like 18000000 points, and Slunks has close to 20000000.
