I thought it was a good conference. For those of us with families it really makes me excited. I can play Kinect with my wife and kids then turn right around and play Gears of War 3 after everyone goes to bed. Now my wife can't say I don't spend enough time with her and that all I do is play video games. Awesome.
WOW. That was an excellent press conference, I loved it. Gears of War 2 looked amazing as did Metal Gear Rising and Halo Reach. I was pretty impressed with what was shown on Kinect especially the dance game and exercise game. The video chatting and menu browsing was pretty cool. Even the games like river rush looked pretty fun. Love the new 360 Slim especially with a hefty 250 GB HDD put in. I want one. :D

The first part of the conference was really awesome, I'm actually somewhat interested in the Metal Gear game which I did not expect. Space combat in Reach was the real megaton of the conference. 9/10, no complaints. Kinect is what it is. I see some potential for drunk gaming but it obviously isn't aimed at me. As long as it's kept out of the games I play I don't have any problem with it.
The best part of the show was Charmy, the insanely adorable young woman playing that driving game with the mid air 360 flips. The kinect stuff largely looked awful and uninteresting. I like the look of that MGS game and the helicopter game, though. Kinectimals seems interesting for children.
Okay... say I DO buy a new 360... how am I supposed to transfer all my data and save files?

Maybe they'll let you use that transfer cable that (I think) came with those bigger hard drives they released a few years back? I don't know. It'd be real stupid of them not to have some form of data transfer for cases like this, though.

I'm a hardwired kind of guy but Wi-Fi inclusion is certainly a bonus for those who use it. Oh yeah Fable III looked great as well.
Say what you want about the MS conference, but at least MS understands that console design is supposed to improve as a generation goes on. Sony keeps subtracting features while Nintendo merely introduced another color.
Is it me or am I the only one confused about the Crytek/Microsoft team-up? It's being reported as a "Live-action" game. How will that work? It looks pretty interesting, it's just I don't know what it really is. Will it be like a simulation strategy game?

Fable III did look like just more Fable, which I am not complaining at all. I would have loved to see how much it has evolved since Fable II or how Kinect is implemented with it.
